    Good tutorial! Managed to swap my battery no problem. Although I would be a little more careful with the battery, I used a credit card to detach the battery and got it off cleanly and quickly. Also: when I am watching a tutorial like this, I am doing the work at the same time so a voiceover would be helpful! Much appreciated anyway. :)

      Horrible video - this time consuming "trial-effort show" really frightens not to even try to do it! Sorry.

    Thank you for a clear and honest tutorial. I also read the comments by others before starting, and found them very useful. I successfully changed the battery, only casualties were my thumb nails in the process of opening the phone. After removing all the little screws, I still found it tricky to prise off the bottom plate. I don’t own a heat gun and was reluctant to use a hair dryer, so used a store card as suggested by others, and this worked for me. It took me a lot longer than the video, but I anticipated it would as this was a one-off effort for me.

    Oh, by the way. I didnt have anything to heat the battery with - but managed anyway. It works. I just had to be more carefull and work a little longer. In the end I used a thin knife to go thru the glue at the back.

    Thanks for the video, very usefull. I just bought a new battery for my honor 7 because the battery is totally ruined, even after a full charge when I try to lanch an app who drain a little bit of power, the phone turn off itself, the battery goes to 90% charge to 1% within a second.

    Great video and worked perfect replacing my battery.
    The case us hard to separate and I found an old loyalty card cut to a point slid right under the battery to break the adhesive strips.
    Thanks so much!

    Thanks for the information, but do I have to use a heat gun or are there any other options left to remove the old battery?

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do recommend to use a heat gun, because it will soften the glue and it's easier to remove the battery. You can also try with a hair dryer.

    • @volkerlinz7214
      @volkerlinz7214 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you definitely dont need any heat gun here. Its just a few minutes more to remove the battery. I used a very sharp device to cut the glue away!

  • @raulantonioditoto9973
    @raulantonioditoto9973 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Perfect, i did it! Thanks!The only problem is that the 1st smallest screw is too small for any tool in the kit and it was a problem to remove it. Is also could not screw it at the end but I don't think it will be a big issue.

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a big issue if you already replaced the battery. If not, you can still order other tool kit with more screwdrivers.

  • @Jackoid89
    @Jackoid89 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video! Is it really necessary to heat up the battery though? I need to replace the battery, but I don't have a heat gun. Will a simple hair dryer work for the purpose?

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, a hair dryer is also ok. But if you going to do more repairs in the future, you should buy a digital heat gun.

  • @leprintemps1985

    there is no bad issues if you dont put glue on the batterie?

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If there is enough left glue from before its, ok. Just be informed that the battery should be fixed / glued in the frame for safety.

  • @Freddinutube
    @Freddinutube 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It worked great. My only issue was that I destroyed the button flex when I was removing it for "safety". It snapped right of. But, I never used that button anyway - so no loss actually.

    From the time 4m 4sec, was it necessary to take off that bottom plate. watching the video it didn't seem to interfere with the battery removal and replacement, i may be wrong so please quote me.

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it is not necessary :)

  • @shywalker404

    I used a thin plastic playing card (im sure paper cards works too, but you will go through many more from bending and pushing!) and gently nudged it under the battery and back and forth, starting from the right side... so it would let go of the 3 adhesive strips by and by. It might have take 10 mins , but atleast it was safe . Please never bend your batterie , those bastards can expand and explode !!

    Was genau machst du bei 10:24? Das hat doch nichts mit dem Akku zu tun, oder?

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Das sind die seitlichen buttons. Ich lege mit der Pinzette das Flex Kabel in denn stecker. Mit dem Akku hatt das nichts zu tun, aber die Knöpfe müssen ja auch funktionieren :) Viel Glück.

    Danke, CrocFix, für die Anleitung! Ich habe alles ohne Fön usw. hinbekommen. Musste die innere Abdeckung auch garnicht abnehmen. Jetzt gibts folgendes Problem: alles wieder zusammengebaut, Akku super, aber er lädt für ca. 3 Sekunden, dann nicht mehr. Habe schon die Steckplatte fixiert. Liegts jetzt am Akku, oder habe ich einen Arbeitsschritt vergessen? Es nervt. Oder liegt es daran, dass ich kein Orignal Akku verwendet habe? Danke für eure Antworten!

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bitte :) Tja, das könnte jetzt am Akku liegen oder an dem usb Port. Hatt er das vor dem Akkutausch auch gemacht? Hasst du vieleicht was beschädigt? Es kann manchmall passieren das ein neuer Akku defekt ankommt. Wenn du denn alten Akku noch hasst, kannst du denn noch mall probieren und sehen ob der richtig geladen wird.

    • @volkerlinz7214
      @volkerlinz7214 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Danke für deine Antwort. Ja, genau das habe ich gemacht. Und siehe da: alles funktioniert wieder. Werde jetzt den Akku zurückgehen lassen, dann ein Originalteil bestellen (scheiß auf die 5 Euro mehr!) und dann wirds schon gehen :)

    Did the switcheroo...the battery I got has the power lead from the battery going behind it...hope that doesn't make too much of a difference...I used an old credit card to get the battery off..not sure why the lead goes around back..but hope it doesn't heat up and wear out quick because of that...battery was 45% on installation...hope it lasts at least a year...got a three year guarantee but I wouldn't hold my breath...

    • @CrocFIX

      @@CrocFIX nah it only lasts about 8hours...but the old battery the camera used to make it shut down real quick....I'm surprised Huawei put a good camera in the Honor 7....I have a Honor 6x and the camera is not as good, even though it is a dual camera..

    Hallo,
    vielen Dank für das Video.
    ich habe mich leider nicht getraut, mein Honor 7 selbst zu reparieren. Also habe ich es zu einem IT-Laden in meinem Ort gegeben. Abgeholt, soweit funktionierte alles wieder ganz gut, dann habe ich allerdings Risse, Kratzer und Dellen am Rande des Metallgehäuses entdeckt. Das ist wahrscheinlich beim Öffnen passiert...
    Ist das normal und nicht zu verhindern oder sollte ich noch einmal dort hin und mich beschweren?
    Habe 40€ dafür gezahlt...
    LG

    • @CrocFIX
      @CrocFIX  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hallo, wenn man die richtigen tools hatt, solten keine grossen Dellen und Kratzer passieren. Ist etwas schwierig jetz wo du das Handy schon nach Hause gebracht hasst. Das muss immer vor ort beachtet werden. Kannst aber auch natürlich probieren und sehen. Vieleicht bekommst du ein Gutschein oder sonst was. Lg
