    I love the fact that this is one of the craziest piano pieces I've heard and then you just look at and go "oh so it goes like this" and then play it perfectly keep it up man👍

      Every TH-camr has hours,days,ect. to analyze a song before they record, edit, post. A common misconception when it comes to TH-camrs that make them look like they just figured out the song off the top.

    • @nouscain
      @nouscain ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@THE-RED-LETTER-PROJECT I mean if you have absolute pitch its not that hard to play it right away if you are that capable on instrument there are lots of youtubers out there that have absolute pitch that plays right away after listening it one time.

      Most people who don't really play piano see this and think it's a really complicated and crazy song, when in reality it's really not. It's actually really simple. It just looks hard to a non-pianist.
      All he's doing is playing octaves with both hands, so that they overlap, and he's arpeggiating them. I was able to play the main melody after a minute of listening to it.
      It's a typical case of something that seems hard when you look at it but really is simple. It does sounds pretty cool though when you add the digital effects, reverb, overlay tracks, and synths to the mix though.

      True, but also not slot of piano artists like him bang on the piano like in "engravings" overall, its nice to hear even when he's smashing on the piano.

    First few notes he hears “It’s got a real simple melody, I like that.” precedes to play the entire song one handed while giving his review and finishing folding his laundry with the other.

    Another great one by him is “Arsonists” it starts of calm and quiet then he goes ham on the piano at around 1 minute (and a bit before)

    dope video!
    what i've thought about lately is, in my eyes its incredible to have perfect pitch and detect a note but i wonder how it works that you can listen to like a 20 second piece of all different notes, chords and the coresponding order of the notes and remember all of them.
    Some say detecting a note is like "seeing a color and just knowing what color it is", but i doubt any person could see like 100 different colors in the same 20 seconds and know the order of the colors.
    Just a thought, but maybe someone has got an answer to that :)

    Nice. Haven't seen this music video yet. Loved his streaming on this song. Part of music video is very 007 James bondish. Ethan is talented AF. His arrangement and production value is on point. He's also like a human arpeggiator too. Such a unique sound in this crowded pop music culture. I think he will be huge soon.

    I´ve played the piano since I was 6, and now im 14, it´s really INCREDIBLE AND INSANE how he can find the notes that are being played in the music, it´s soo sooo dificult! (I´m brasilian, so if I wrote anything incorrect, you can correct me!)

      its probably perfect pitch ngl, ur a musician so u prob know what it is but its just inate talent, in an interview it was stated that ethan was able to copy a piece of mozard on a kids toy piano at the age of 3 just by listening to it on the show 'little einsteins' and that was what made his parent let him go to piano lessons , so without any pracist he could already do it

    How did you figure out the song that fast? Do you have perfect pitch like Ethan?

    • @SabatSch95
      @SabatSch95 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Because Ethan's songs are very basic & repetitive from an analytical standpoint. This piece is perhaps a bit more unusual with the split chords, not in the sense that it's complex, but that it's not something you see often, I guess? I thought it was either two fast chords or the computer repeating it for him. But the other song (forgot the name) is extremely basic. Just four regular arpeggios. There's nothing complex or difficult about this. It's stuff your average 5 to 6 year piano student plays & experiments with for fun.
