Make 110k as a teacher here in CA and was considering Boise due to family. Pay is 35k was starting pay for Ada county schools.... lol - cost of living isn't THAT much less. Infact if you're a middle-income earner in Idaho - your tax rate is effectively the same as CA.

Yeah so you give up higher pay and perfect weather for less pay, same COL for food/goods/services, brutal winters and hot summers. What a great deal!
