This video shows the dedication that Olympians put in to get to where they are today. No matter how strong you are physically or mentally, at the very end the human side surfaces and most will break down when the ultimate pinnacle has been reached. Great job with the video!!!
Deng linlin, you finally did it, you got the gold medal, i am so happy i have seen you since 2007 and now it is your moment to be happy, congrats and enjoy this moment share it with yang yilin and your family.
Great montage. Deng said in one interview that she is not a smart type of gymnast, she is somewhat slow, and she can only learn moves by keeping practicing. She is so real and admirable.
I think Linlin Deng is one of the best women gymnast in history. A role model with a strong mind to win and win gold metals eventually in the two Olympic events. All the best to her future.
To answer all the questions about her crying: she was an underdog before and even within the Beijing Olympic. She wanted to be better but had been having bottleneck at that time. Thats why she was crying in the documentary. Fortunately, she was selected for the six people team as the last person, and the team won gold at Beijing Olympic
These little humans deserve so much. They get pushed so hard. I love gymnastics but NOT what the sport is doing to the see athletes anymore!!!!!! Enough is enough!!!!!
She is just heartbreakingly beautiful. All gymnasts at her level are creatures of unearthly grace, but she exposes her soul the way Janis Joplin and Amy Winehouse did, through a very different art.
Dear God! Pal, this is one of your greatest works! I was just watching it again and I was like punching the air when Linlin won the AA in that Nationals and her teammates and coaches were hugging her :) My eyes were moist, again. (God I've got to be the softest of all wolfboys there are)
This montage makes me love Deng Linlin even more :) Beautiful work again from IRunFastest. Great synchronization with the song! Linlin's story movingly told in the 4 minutes. Love this sweetness :) You're amazing, pal...
Lucy Cao Well, actually, she was a five year old when she enrolled, but there're Olympic champions who started lots older than 6. She'll be turning 24 in four months and she's still amazing
Thank you, my friend. This is the best montage of Linlin I ever seen! She is gracefull, cute, strong, a little angel in China's Team. From a brazilian gymnastics fan.
我从德克萨斯州圣安东尼奥一路送去爱,那是一个完全不同的世界……她有一颗冠军的心。最小的一颗心却最大。她值得全世界的爱和鲜花。 I'm sending love all the way from San Antonio, Texas, a completely different world... She has the heart of a champion. The smallest one with the biggest heart. She deserves all the love and flowers from around the entire world.
@MelodiaTodoElDia She's in the documentary, "Dream Weaver: Beijing 2008". It follows her in the years leading up to the Beijing Olympics. You should get the DVD and check it out!
Deng Linlin is 28 years old now! I feel bad for her, apparently she made a lot of sacrifice for gymnastics and does not have a normal childhood and cried a lot!
@MelodiaTodoElDia That competition was the 2009 Chinese National Games AA. The National Games are a pretty big deal to athletes in China...they're only held once every four years. So proud of her...I'm sure it'll be something she'll remember forever :)
@LuziBao Thanks :) And you're right, there's so much to admire about her! She might need more practice and repetition, but it pays off...she has never let her team down in Olympic or World competition.
GRAEAT MONTAGE! My favourite GYMNAST since 2008, I can't wait to see her in Bercy France she will be competing the full twisting layout plus korbut- a BBGB combo! on beam in World Cup.March 19, 2011
Other Chinese gymnast may show more gift, but some of them have problem with consistence. Deng show maturity in competition.BTW I love the way the coach watching her crying on the side quietly.
@IWillRunAlways Thanks for watching :) Agreed, it's tough seeing her cry. But it's been great to see how much she's grown up since then...she's come a long way!
@LexBelgrade Thanks! :) Unfortunately she's had some injuries and hasn't been at her best this year. She struggled at Nationals and didn't make the Worlds team. I hope she can rebound for 2012! Go Linlin!
@IRunFastest I do really hope I can see her in the coming Olympic games !! She is really awesome and I wish her injuries get well soon. I'm rooting for you, Deng Linlin :DD
They've named Yao Jinnan, Sui Lu, Huang Qiushuang, and Deng Linlin to the Olympic team. The fifth spot is still open to either He Kexin, Jiang Yuyuan, or Tan Sixin. And yeah, Cheng Fei is out due to a torn achilles :(
Yes, they announced four Olympic team members and three girls who are still in contention for the fifth spot. See Komova2012's channel for the news clip.
@IRunFastest I'm so happy for her. She deserves it! Is there any chinese documantary or anything like that where I can see her training when she was younger?
I love this little superstar. What is the competition that she places first in the montage? I love Deng Linlin and I agree when you say that is so hard to see her crying
@cesaraddiction We don't know yet if she's gonna be in the Olympics. But I hope so...I admire her, too! They won't pick the team until after the selection process this spring/summer. There are lots of vids on TH-cam where you can learn more about her...and my friend longdoydoy has translated many of them for those of us that don't know Chinese :)
Chinese gymnasts are chosen at a very young age (2 or 3) to go to a training school to become elite gymnasts. They train 6 days a week for like 6 hours a day. They don't sign up and I would imagine that, as they grow older, they start to feel more pressure from parents and from their country to stick it out no matter if they like it or not. I'm not sure what the repercussions would be if they quit. I imagine some like the sport, but many probably just do it because they are expected to.
@longdoydoy I was so proud of her, too, when she won the AA gold at National Games...it was a huge breakthrough for her, a victory that I'm sure she'll remember forever :) Thank you, pal...I love your soft side, don't worry :D You are much appreciated.
@LexBelgrade They won't select the 2012 Olympic team until after the selection process next spring/summer. It'll be tough for her to make the team, but let's keep hoping...I think the Chinese team needs girls like her who can hit under pressure.
She is really beautiful, inside and out.
I think so.

比賽精彩片段搭配這首歌非常棒,她的努力有目共睹。

You really make a vivid and touching description on her hardwork and willpower in live her life to the fullest. Nice shot!
She is just heartbreakingly beautiful. All gymnasts at her level are creatures of unearthly grace, but she exposes her soul the way Janis Joplin and Amy Winehouse did, through a very different art.

She is currently 22 years old and she started gymnastics at the age of 6. She is really beautiful and amazing!
+Chou Chan wow she only started gymnastics at 6? ppl normally start at like 3 years old
Lucy Cao Well, actually, she was a five year old when she enrolled, but there're Olympic champions who started lots older than 6. She'll be turning 24 in four months and she's still amazing
Chou Chan yea she is amazing :) and I guess it doesn't matter that much whether you start at 3 or 6, just a lot of talent and hard work!
Thank you, my friend. This is the best montage of Linlin I ever seen! She is gracefull, cute, strong, a little angel in China's Team.
