So you could do almost everything they do in the video. Score the circle and loosen the glass. You can try and just cut two lines out to the edges from the circle (or one if you are able to) and then fire it later to fuse it back together. You can also try score crisscross within the circle, but since glass likes to break straight it may break into the outer part. If so then you will have to fire to fuse it together anyways. It can be a bit more difficult , but it is doable! I hope this helps.
I want to cut some small discs from sheet but I don't need them any larger than standard, U.S. Quarters and Half Dollars...what would you suggest as the easiest way to go about this? Seem's to me that it will be hard to find a tool that can handle small circumference cutting. Great teaching video! thanks!
Hi Don! So the tool shown may not be able to get such a small circle without causing major issues. We recommend trying one of two ways! 1) This tool: ST-369 would be able to get you a small circle without having major difficulty or 2) cutting a square and nipping the ends around until you get a circular shape. The second option may not get you a perfect circle however so that might not be the best; depending on your project! If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to give us a call! Hope this help! ~BI Crew
