This music has grown with me it seems like. In my mid 20s I was deeply depressed and angry, I am legally blind and at about 26 my vision started falling apart. I grieved for a good while and now it’s time for a change. These past few years I’m picking myself up and this is the kind of music I’m relating with at this stage in my life. I never thought Caleb and a country artist would work, but god damn! That songs goes so hard! Excellent work Hardy & Caleb! Metal-country core made some country twang work! Such a powerful song, beautifully arranged and sounds like nothing I've ever heard! Beautiful gentlemen!

For those who don't know, Hardy is a lot more than country. He has a lot of rock in both of his albums and the whole second half of his new album is all rock with some metal. Don't dismiss this song or Hardy's music just because you dislike country.

I’ve been stuck in a deep hole after losing a good job at a fortune 100 company 7yrs ago. Effected my whole life, my self-confidence and my marriage. Recently been on a positive path improving my health and had an unexpected source of motivation pop up over the last couple of weeks. The shifts between their voices are sooo subtle.
this song is truly amazing. i think there should be more country collabs in the future. a lot of these country artists (Hardy included) have really powerful voices. i think it could really skyrocket the genre. country and post hardcore (or whatever you want to classify music like silverstein/beartooth as) have really wonderful messages in the lyrics. combine that with powerful vocals - you have yourself a soundtrack for an entire season.

I ain't 34 and listened to this whole album when it was first released then dropped out and listened to other stuff, until a colleague gave me a lift home and this randomly came on in her car and reminded me of just how fucking good beartooth are! Powerful mood boosting music from this album and disease and heavy processing anger on their other albums!

First of all, this collab was out of left fuckin field. second, this collab ain't got no godamn right going so hard. third, it'[s been one helluva trip from the first time beartooth was recommended to me till now. i feel like i've progressed mentally at the same time in the same ways. sunshine hit and it was a bop. might love myself hit as i'm entering the happiest point in my life that i've ever experienced. the better me followed up and reminded me that i've made it, but thhere's still work to do.
I decided yesterday after having a mental breakdown that I need to recover and I’m not gonna live like this anymore. I have severe anxiety and everyday gets harder and more exhausting, I found myself loosing my will to even live. I realized if I don’t try to pull myself out and recover now then I might not make it before I can’t take it anymore. My mom is helping with a program to heal from anxiety and it’s already been helping. This song gives me hope that I have a better future to look forward too. I’ve been a fan for a long time and your music has always helped me but this album gives me so much hope and joy. Can’t wait to guys live march 1st!!

When I first listened to it, the chorus felt clunky. Still kinda does but after listening to the whole album I have come to really enjoy it. Country isn't my thing either but Hardy has made music with Jeremy McKinnon & now Caleb & I'm here for it.

Caleb wrote Below during covid when everyone was at their lowest and he’s been writing The Surface during the best time of his life and it shows. He really set the tone with Riptide, each release feels like a piece of the story of this album. I don’t know if Red Bull has some influence or if Caleb is just a genius but this album run has been the absolute best by far; and the album isn’t even fully out yet!

These guys make my life so much easier today I still smoke and drink bit I aint relapsed after 4 years of messing up I've been sober and engaged since 17, still aint done what I'd like but these guys make everyone believe they can be what they set out be.
