    I love how this is written as a song by people who vaguely remember the past.

      The whole *_Firestorm_* album is written that way - as folks songs which might have been collected by a songcatcher moving from one village to another among the survivors with a tape recorder or wire recorder (built by examining the remains of an ancient device and deducing how it would have worked).

    This would make a great side quest in Fallout. Or at least a radio station song.

      I'm pretty sure there's a fallout 4 Vault that did something similar to this. Huge Excavator or something parked in front of a rich guy's personal Shelter

      The entire "Firestorm" album should be played by some Fallout radio station, definitely.

      I know, right? This totally sounds like it's about an Enclave vault and some "tribals" who who outsmarted them. And yet, this song was released about 8 years before Fallout 1.

      Set off a false alarm and wait for them to pile in, then block the exits. They'll be fine in there, for years. We can let them out after we've reformed the government and the economy without their "expert" help.

    Digwell doesn’t sound like a nice place to stay considering the “blight” is probably radiation poisoning. But maybe they are resistant to it being that they have lived on the surface that long.

    • @SongsfromtheStars

      Well, the whole album is about surviving a nuclear apocalypse...so most of it isn't a nice place to stay.

    • @arcadiaberger9204
      @arcadiaberger9204 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      That's why so many people each year "of the Blight have died", as well as crops and beasts being rendered inedible all having to be buried in the Digwell Mound.

      The survivors are adapting. I'd be more concerned about the growing unstable mountain of rotting corpses and garbage nearby.

      @@d.b.624 it's likely that "Digwell Mound" is a burial mound, not a literal mountain of corpses. A la the mound-building Adina

      Yes - they BASED themselves in the Digwell Bunker, and the survivors on the surface BASED a whole holiday on piling up their worst refuse over it.

    The next time there's a TEOTWAWKI film, I want some wealthy, well-connected and really obnoxious character to be on his/her phone saying, "It's time to call up the guest list for the Digwell Shelter."
