    Summary
    These 3 banks #uob #ocbc #dbs see a similar NET INTEREST MARGIN (NIM) which is core to revenue.
    Will there be an impact coming from Digital banks coming on in 2022?
    UOB is focused on south east asia. 27% comes from SEA
    OCBC has 14% from malaysia and 20% coming from greater china. It owns 87% of great eastern holdings. It has the highest non interest income of the 3 banks
    DBS has 63% revenue from Singapore which is the highest of the 3 banks. It also has 5 other key markets and seem to be growing their India operations.
    In this tutorial, you'd get my answer as to which bank seems the most innovative =)
    And which bank has the highest growth in wealth management business!
    But as always, if unsure which bank shares, investing into STI ETF is a simple approach to get exposure to all 3 banks.

      Most newbies fail simply because they don't understand how the market works in general or in particular how the market relates to stock/forex or currency pair they entering. If a retail trades doesn't grasp what the market makers are doing and when they are doing it, the greatest strategy in the world will fall. For new traders the markets are like entering an F1 race before you've passed your drivers license test. One more advantage is the possibility to benefit from repetition. Without this type of strategy, you probably won't know what worked or why it worked and even if you did, it would be hard to repeat therefore for you need a perfect mentor to teach you perfectly to enable you invest and trade accurately on your own, which i highly recommend you Mr Hercules He guides me with the exact time frame to trade and now I just received my first withdrawals of $30k in my bank account today I'm very happy, my advice is for you to contact him he will guide you perfectly well, and thank me later, I guess this is a good way to show my heartfelt appreciation for literally breaking the chain of my financial debit when I needed it most, you can contact him on his email 📧

    My pick is OCBC cos over the past 40 years, OCBC has been the most conservative which is best when facing recession.
    OCBC also have less exposure to China. Wing Hang Bank is HK local bank.
    OCBC has a bigger contribution from insurance biz. Great Eastern is the cash cow.
    OCBC is little or no exposure from India, which is a difficult market to crack.

    Starting cpf investing soon. just wondering if going into uob / ascendas reits. i have friends who are just aiming to beat the 2.5% in OA by relying on dividends. based on p/e ratio i can see ascendas is better. but based on the track record i believe uob is better. i think not really relying on dividends. there are many materials out there and they are so confusing. on a side note ascendas is paying dividends on the 9th if i recall correctly.

    Nice analysis! Wondering if the digital banks will not impact these 3 major banks by a lot, then does that mean we would not see Singtel grow even with the Singtel-Grab digital bank licence?

    How will the distress India bank affect DBS profitability with the hundreds of Sing dollar losses every year for the past so many years? How will the compensation to the Indian bank shareholders affect DBS valuation? How will the compensation to the missing Fixed D in the distressed Indian bank that DBS now have to cough out affect DBS P&L? Will all these uncertainties bring DBS to its knees like how Airtel brought Singtel to its knees to report its first ever loss?

    • @joshconsultancy
      @joshconsultancy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi M178, the Indian bank is worth very small. Just like any distress asset, it is cheap because it’s hard to turn around. Cya around more ya

    • @milo178
      @milo178 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Precisely my point. The losses by the Indian Bank is hundreds of millions Sing dollar every year consistently. And the value of the Indian Bank is small. Kind of counter intuitive. And how would the losses by the Indian Bank affect DBS PE ratio?

    • @joshconsultancy
      @joshconsultancy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@milo178 my guess it fits the overall strategy to build market share in that part of india and buy user base. Hope it works =)
