Thank you for this as I am looking to buy a Ninja foodi and ditch the microwave for making porridge & now I've seen how good yours looks I feel it would be a great investment!

Great video! I’ve made mine exactly like yours and mine sticks to the bottom of the pan!! And the water sign appears each time! Any suggestions! I also chopped a cooking apple and put cinnamon in mine too!

I could not hear anything you said while releasing the pressure but never mind this. This is exactly what I was after, btw, I’ve never heard of the Nigerian pressure cooker. Normally we cooked porridge, on the stove with milk and water, if I did 50/50 milk and water in the pressure cooker, would that work alright or would it boil over somehow because of the milk?

I tried this and it burned. What did I do wrong? 🤔

Is it safe to half this recipe for 1 serving as it seems like you have wasted half of the oats you cooked here?
80g of Oats with 250ml of Water

I followed all you instructions but Ninja foodi would not pressure cook my porridge. When I opened the pot there was hardly any water left.

Hi Ezi can you add 2 cups of milk instead of water and is it 2 cups liquid to every one cup porridge.

my understanding is milk will burn so add after, make a little thicker and add milk after

I use homemade almond milk instead of water, and it works fine.

Sorry to be negative, but why is it a brown colour, i make two days worth of porridge every second day in my electric pressure cooker. it is aways a white ish colour never brown. it has a porridge button. which is 15 mins long from boil, i usualy do on pre timmer the night before and i use pot in a pot method, ban-marie method, that is water is in pressure cooker and the pot with the porridge mix is in the water. The only time it was ever brown was when i did like your method. and it tasted burnt to me, but maybe you like that flavour. when my mother made poridge she had a special two pot thing one with the water in it, and the next pot in the water had the oats in that cooked on the hob ! that way it cannot burn and no continuouse stirring, as i a pot on hob has to be constantly stirred or it will go brown !!! ps second days is microwaved for 1.20 mins

@@cookwithezi5027I am Very sorry but I have always understood that porridge is made from only oats, hence the term " porridge oats" but as you say it must be different in other parts of world maybe!

followed instructions, but add water come up before it got upto pressure

    • @JG-kz4if

The same happened to me. "Add Water" message before it got to pressure. Why put 4 minutes in the title, its basically a lie or clickbait. After 11 minutes, I got the Add Water message, added just below another cup and stirred at 17/18 minutes it said to add water again. All this time before my oats are cooked in 4 minutes lmao. Even if everything went perfect it is still not 4 minutes to make oats. I appreciate people doing receipe videos, unfortunately this didn't work for me and I dislike these dishonest titles as seeing titles like this help to contribute to me buying a Ninja Foodi, hopefully this comment helps someone. Sorry for the rant, but I just did this receipe and not I'm best pleased with the results.
