loved the place me and my mates use to come from north wales we would jump the train and go and watch all these great bands the clash was the best band i ever seen there penetration was my first gig loved it
USED TO GO EVERY SAT AGE 14/15 THE DAMNED, THE CLASH,THE REZILLOS, GEN X, MAGAZINE,999,BUZZCOCKS, ADVERTS,IAN DURY, ELVIS COSTELLO,X- RAY SPEX ,BIG IN JAPAN,THE FALL,JOHN COOPER CLARKE ETC, ETC.. GREAT ATMOSPHERE, BRILLIANT LAUGH, ILL NEVER FORGET IT!! MAX,WEST KIRBY, WIRRAL :)
we always went down to the matinee shows at erics.was great that they did that for the under 18's,we still talk about those days together,afternoons in reeces café,then over to frank hessys to drool at the guitars,then round to erics,saw some great bands in there,happy happy days : )
