What do you make of Enoch's 364 day calendar? Seems as though it is a bizarre simulation illusion specifically created for Enoch since he ascends to heaven at the age of 365 according to Genesis 5:23. And 365 is the real amount of days in a solar year. Perhaps the Angel Uriel was playing upon the psychological expectations of Enoch.
When we talk about Enoch's ten week prophecy we will talk more about the calendar. Not enough info to know exactly about it. What you said about 365 years makes sense to me. The way I think of it is that the calendar is lacking as a testimony that Jesus Christ has to be added to us like days have to be added to the Calendar to keep it in line with the sun, and Christ has to make us in line with God? I only really use the Enoch Calendar when talking about the ten weeks prophecy because it fits in line with the restoration of the gospel.
@@restoredephraimpublication1540 Enoch's 364 day calendar makes things a lot more interesting. Because, it might imply that the book of Enoch really is ancient. The Torah says Enoch ascended at the age of 365. If someone read that, why would they then write a book about Enoch having a vision of a 364 day calendar? Enoch's book truly might be ancient. I think it is written in a ancient tone.
@@restoredephraimpublication1540 Concerning the calendar(s), the calendar of Israel changes A LOT in the Bible. There's maybe 5 different calendars that the people of God use in the Bible. Noah's calendar was in fact a 360 day calendar, which implies a harmony of lunar and solar calendars (lunar = 354, solar = 365). When we calculate the calendar days of the flood in Noah's story, it would necessitate 30 day months all year round.
Nice, I didn't think of that. I agree that the Book of Enoch is of ancient date, if you listen to my earlier Enoch chapter commentaries there is evidence that the prophet Lehi's dream of the tree of life was inspired by reading the Book of Enoch in the Brass Plates, find commentary videos for Book of Enoch 22-25.
I would say to be careful with the ten week prophecy. It is a cool passage in Enoch's book, probably even my favorite passage, however I would warn you to be careful with it. I mean, the 364 day calendar vision is not true in the literal sense. It was only a vision meant for Enoch, for him to be more surprised with his ascension happening at his 365th year, and not his 364th year. So too for us, we will only find out the truth in the end. Until the end, we live an illusion of the angels' making, like Enoch did.
Thank you for doing these commentaries.
You're welcome! I'm glad that you like them.

@@Taylor-lm5op Yeah, I am aware of the multiple calendars.
