Well, it helps that they were already the most popular band in the world at that time. Imagine if one of the most popular current bands was revealed to be aliens, hard to imagine all the adoration they already have would just disappear, which would make it pretty hard for a government to try to exploit them as they probably would otherwise.
Krazy Stargazer definitely a best case scenario, I'm just saying that it's far more likely to happen for aliens that were already famous than ones they just randomly crash landed or something like that.
I think that it's quite beautiful how this movie displayed humanity not only at its very worst--the pure evil of abducting people, wiping their minds and making them your slaves until you want to cast them aside--but also humanity at its very best--working together to do everything in its power to help and make things right.
The clearing of the samples used in this record, must have driven the admin of the lables crazy...Their ability to splice sooo many samples and mash them together in order to compile one song...I have taken a look at their technique, seriously knowing the exact 2 bars of a song, stretching them out, adding a bassline, EQing the samples and then adding them to a tracklist...It takes magical ears to pick those up and knowing what the psychological impact it can leave on a listener when looping those samples Daft Punk are GOATS

Really liked the character of the young CEO of the musical label. Guy showed real passion for the music and helped the abducted musicians to go back home. It's a movie made by a Japanese studio and a French band who sing in English. However, it's message is universal, and is one that doesn't need dialogue. It shows the corruption of the greedy who tarnish and use music for personal gain, and contrasts it with how those who show genuine passion for their own work or the work of others can unite in such meaningful ways. Daft Punk and Toei made something really unique, timeless, and powerful.

i have to pay my respect once again THIS IS TOO GOOD i can't believe it still 😭😭it's an era that's ending right there. they changed music forever and that's a fact, i remember first finding out about their music back in 2012-2013 when i was 6/7 years old by my sisters and i literally fell in love with it, right now i'm STILL kinda tearing up tbh, these legends music will live on forever. ❤ the only thing i can be happy about is the fact that they broke up in good terms and that they left us with tons of good singles/albums and memories 🥺 i wish i could be face to face with their robot face right now...

I remember watching this on Toonami as a kid (about 8 years old), 20 years ago and I can’t believe this is it. Never got to see them in concert either and that had always been a goal 😭😭. But it’s been a great ride, I always have their music.

I was sad about the news, but then there is that beautiful flute at 2:52 and I gave up, I was in tears. At that moment I understood why I loved so much Daft Punk when I was a teenager, they were able to create a mood. That CD that I played entirely maybe 500 times in my Macintosh G3 with Quicktime.

I may never get to see you face to face, but your music brought so much to my life when I was younger, growing up I was only aloud to listen to "contemporary Christian music" but one night in elementary school I spent the night at his house, we watched this and music has been in the forefront of my life sense. Favorite daft punk song
brought some tears showing positivity instead of the usual negativity.
I loved how they accepted them and helped them return to their planet.
Still by far my favorite album of daft punk. The others are nice but this one just raised above the others. The flow and beats were just so much better in this.
Listening to this after learning about how they put together the samples makes me appreciate this song even more

@Lumine Moon The Earth in the video seems more advanced since this movie was made i think in the early 2000s and assuming it takes place in the early 2000s there are some things i find very impressive like the big technological structure that they use to restore the band's memories.
