Well I'm glad I found this video. I had it in my cart ready to purchase thinking I had everything I needed to know before I bought this. Not going to work for me . Sadly there's not room in my van to pull the blue tab on the side out. My space is exactly 15 inches wide. Not going to have room to pull the blue tab open to actually use the toilet. This really is sad because I really like this concept. Now I must redo my research and find another one.
I'm sorry that the GottaGo is too big for your setup. I'll definitely share this with the team to check if we can offer the GottaGo in different sizes. 🙂
@@JoolcaWe have the same issue. Is there a way to reengineer so the pull out comes out of the front? I expect many others will have the same space problem.
Oh sorry, at the moment, we're only collecting feedback and recommendations. Designing a new version of the toilet would take some time, but your input is valuable and will be considered in future updates.
Wow, bravo to you guys too for not charging $1k for a toilet. This will be my choice when I'm ready to buy one! In the process of making plans to switch up my camping setup!
Just got mine in the mail today. I haven't camped with it, but it looks like it will work great. Glad I didn't read some of these stupid comments before purchasing. I've had a cassette toilet with water and it it fills up fast when you pee all day in it and is disgusting to empty that after a couple days and that is why I was looking into a composting toilet. I bought an attachment for a 5 gal bucket, it worked ok, but it just didn't fit together like a puzzle and left too many flimsy ways things could go wrong. Going camping soon and will give this a try and report back, but it looks like it will work great so far.
@@Joolca Received my Gotta Go and have set it up. One comment for others ... the latches and all parts made to move are a bit stiff. I imagine they will loosen up a bit as they are used. So far, so good!!
When are you shipping your first run? I signed up for this toilet the minute I saw it! The benefits of a dry flush without the expensive cassette and I don't have to see my poop again.
A very interesting product. We have been using PortaPotti loos for years and swear by them but this looks like it might be a good replacement. We have been using the HoT Tap for a long time and that is excellent so if this is a product of similar quality, it will be worth trying out. It would certainly be interesting to review this against the Porta Potti. For 2 people we find to large Porta Potti lasts only about 4 days before it has to be emptied, if this extends that time than it would be very useful.
The solids opening lever pulls out about 120mm (we recommend allow more room, around 180mm for your hands). The holder lever (for the pooker stick and spray bottle) comes out 100mm
Can you tell me the weight limits to be able to sit on the toilet and the lid. I'm curious if I can use this as a stool. I'm very short and the van i want is very tall (I'll have over 3ft of room above me). Also my partner is a heavy set man so I'm afraid if he sits ontop of the lid or the actual toilet that could cause issues.
Hi! The GottaGo toilet has a load capacity of 150kg (330lbs). It should be fine to stand on the side, but I wouldn’t recommend standing in the middle since that area doesn’t have support (due to the toilet’s hole). Sitting on it is perfectly fine, but for added support, you can use a flat sheet of wood that doesn’t bend. 🙂
I’m very interested in this. I’ve been shopping for a dry separation toilet and this one seems to be an excellent option. I’d like to know if we can use a medium with the bag system between uses? Thanks
Glad you found the GottaGo! Here you go! Chemical Cassette: 2.9 gal approx. 19 uses Eco Cassette: 2.5 gal approx. 23 uses Urine Container: 1.2 gal approx. 12-15 uses

@@Joolca There's no reason not to use a bag even when using compost shavings. You guys should highlight that as well. It just makes disposal so much easier.
Oh no, that's the number of times you can use it before it gets filled. There's an indicator that tells you when the toilet is full so you can dispose of the contents and be ready for the next use. 🙂
So it’s not a complete system??? We have to choose at checkout what configuration we want??? And then potentially Buy extras to get the full complete system??? Is that correct???
It is a full system. The base cost of the toilet includes one of either the chemical cassette or the bag/compost cassette. You don’t have to spend extra. You just have the option of buying additional cassettes if you know you won’t be able to empty regularly. Or one of each style.
Yea the fact that it doesn’t even have a flush system not to sure about this one joolca they have ones with a whole flushing and pump that you can put clean water in the bowl. For way cheaper.
Thanks for the feedback! Here's why we've decided to go with a flush-free toilet: support.joolca.com/hc/en-us/articles/9062353565711-Does-the-Joolca-GottaGo-toilet-flush🙂

Just use warm water and detergent to rinse and clean the container/cassette thoroughly. Allow to dry before putting it back into your GottaGo. 🙂

Do you add shavings to the bag if using a bag. Or only if using as a compost container
It's best to add shavings inside the cassette when not using a bag. By the way, the bag uses the same cassette for compost. 🙂
