👍🏽 Straight to work...no yapping! I did something similar over my bar. Bought the lights from IKEA. From a handy-girl to a handy-man...safety glasses are our friend.😎
In the middle of building a homemade one myself. A little different style. yours is awesome. I was amazed at how you hollowed this out to save on weight. That must be a great b lade on that dewalt. You know what??? Everyone is a you tube safety inspector now.
can you tell me how you connected all the bulbs together and figured out the wattage to know how many bulbs you can have then how you proceeded to wire it up to the gfi
You can buy kits on amazon and ebay, search for : Vintage Pendant Light Kit Cord with Dimming Switch and Triple E26/E27 Industrial Light Socket Lamp Holder
There's no rocket science in there: wires are connected in parallel. You don't even have to worrry about the wattage: they're LED bulbs, low power lightning.
Nice job! Only question is.. why not have wire punch through ceiling plate near chain attachment point so it doesn’t have to be seen running across ceiling plate?( that would drive me crazy!)
Great job! Gotta question... On the upper slab portion...what is the purpose of the side to side cutouts w/ the wood strip glued in place? (Totally understand the lengthwise cutout for the flat stock.)
Beautiful project! How much actual time was invested? I have a big batch of Barn wood beams available to purchase. Thinking of ideas to build valuable home decor. Any idea what your fixture would sell for? Thx
Wear some eye protection with those saws. I had an old beam and in it was a piece of wire. This video reminded me of a cartoon. A tree made into a toothpick. Nice job
I don't know that I would have gone with the lights having that wrapped look, but now that I'm seeing it, I really like it. This is a nice piece! Subscribed.
Kraftmade awesome I have a bunch of Milwaukee batteries including a 9 amp and was thinking about getting one. Wanted to know if it was strong enough and not crazy heavy for yard work
Amazing jog man. Not my style light, but still ... but hey, take the car out next time. This dust goes everywhere and for more safety :) Good luck !!! Keep going !!!
Well, glad you used the ladder to string the lights. Would've been too hard to have your girl on a ladder while you tried to hang it. Way too safe. Socks and 2 people on a flimsy table. Way better. Cool project though.

Beautiful fixture. Can you describe how you did the wiring for the 8 lights into the ceiling please?
the way you toss stuff to the side when you’re done using them is so funny to me 😂 it turned out beautiful, great video!
Great job! Kudos for doing this with basic tools
Beautifully done!

Thanks Chris! I hope yours turns out great!
Nice job! One recommendation though... safety glasses. It's too late when it's too late. 👍
:) Thanks for the love!
And keep both hands on the router when it's running...

Yes I too would like to know this as well.

Оригинально и очень креативно. Супер👍
Молодец!!! Очень классно получилось!!!!
Great project. Love how you hollowed the beam.
+Matthew Friedrichs thanks!! Yeah hollowing the beam honestly cut weight by 10-15 pounds
Nice job! Only question is.. why not have wire punch through ceiling plate near chain attachment point so it doesn’t have to be seen running across ceiling plate?( that would drive me crazy!)
Looks really nice! Aside from that I have to agree, you should use eye protection always!
That's awesome dude, please watch your safety though, love your work and thanks for sharing
Good job. Make sure to oil the bit when drilling metal, though. Keeps them from dulling rapidly.
That came out really nice. I love the rustic look.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks maker!
Can someone explain how he connected the wires together in the end?
You would just need to pigtail the wires together to your main electrical feed. Any standard electrician should be able to help you out.
Great job! Gotta question... On the upper slab portion...what is the purpose of the side to side cutouts w/ the wood strip glued in place? (Totally understand the lengthwise cutout for the flat stock.)
I can't remember honestly.... It must not have been important!
Awesome project!

I probably have 25 hours into this. Idk how much it would sell for. In my experience people never want to pay you for whats it worth.
very nice !! thank you for sharing
Were you able to connect all the wires into one fixture?
Yes
Woow amazing
Awesome job guy!

Liz Quilty, He ran the cable threw one the chains
Do you think your roof is designed to hold that kind of static point (not distributed) or otherwise concentrated load?
Yes, plus the chandelier weighs much less than most realize. It only weighs about 40 pounds
Nice job! I’m a little bit jealous 🤪
Thanks Lonus!

Tip of the hat 🎩 Sir. I'll have to take a stab at this myself at one point in the next few years.
Do it! I'd love to see it!
If I have a own house at somepoint i'll try to do this myself
Sweet, I hope some day you can!
You shouldn't vacuum metal burrs, it could cause an electrical short circuit, nice job do!!! 👍🏻
While drilling a hole lubricate it spraying WD40 can be an option
Bom dia como é o nome da máquina que vc usa para serrar a madeira tipo uma motoserra?

What’s your opinion on the Milwaukee weed wacker. I’ve been thinking of getting one for awhile? Nice video!!
Thanks man! I love it, it is powerful and perfect for my backyard. Plus I don't have to pull a cord 30 times just to get it started!
Kraftmade awesome I have a bunch of Milwaukee batteries including a 9 amp and was thinking about getting one. Wanted to know if it was strong enough and not crazy heavy for yard work
