A state should have to produce its power. Not build it in another state.

@@tunkelp trust me we all agree. We understand trading in times of need but shipping 95% somewhere else is ridiculous.

What are you talking about? This is how we make America Great.

@@BikiniDuckCreations I think you have the wrong administration there…

@@americanbeefranch When it comes to making America great, who cares about what administration is in power? This is about America as a country and for long term growth. A windmill is good for 30+ years, we still have units from the 1970's running today. That is a whole lot of almost free electricity that can be used to power the nation.
If your ranch really is in the middle of a wind power site, you are going to be able to make bank from renting out space to data centers and battery storage providers.
You live in the middle of nowhere, up until today all you could supply the nation is grass, and beef. Well now you can also supply electricity. So welcome to the future.

@@BikiniDuckCreations that’s great. Food is important and more so than power. Besides like I stated a solar project would make much more sense over wind in my area.

This is why we have local production taxes on things like this; so these projects can benefit the whole nation. Also, why are you complaining? Cash out. If your property is right in the middle of such a huge development, you can rent out your land to a battery farm, or to a data center. Renewable is here to stay and is paying big $$$ for locations like yours. Make it work for you. Look at your peers in Iowa and Texas.

@@BikiniDuckCreations with tax credits from the feds it practically has no benefit. Especially in a state who has a record of budget surplus. On top of that if they picked a project that Idaho could use the power from I would be more inclined to not oppose it. Wind energy isn’t the best option for Idaho

Cash out? What do you mean? I don't think you listened to him saying he does not want wind turbines and other things blocking his view of the country. Your comment shows you're ignorant of the area because nobody is going to build a battery farm or data center in that area. Click your heals and wish it to happen?

@@Hogslice Very first link that comes up when I google it: th-cam.com/video/BAfKgf2tXkg/w-d-xo.html
There are lots of companies that would love to be nextdoor to a wind farm and take advantage of the cheap electricity. Look at Texas and Iowa. That market is booming.
This is what Making America Great looks like. Places in the middle of nowhere that could not provide anything to the nation in the past, are now able to generate electricity.

@@BikiniDuckCreations You are forgetting that the energy for these wind turbines is being sold out of state. Nothing will be provided for in-state use. And just because you googled something doesn't mean companies will do it.
