Sober Ellis is the best Ellis, for sure! These are way more fun now that he's all there.
Bump
Loving sober Jason!
Ellis is feisty as hell this episode. Hilarious! "If any sharks are watching, come at me."
Ellismate bump
this pod is everything, I never miss a episode
Same
“Hey hey” Already laughing before the intro music even starts. 😂😂😂 Gonna be a good one! 😁
There are a couple dozen people (again) on this train looking at me perplexed as I’m cracking up out loud to the stories (and Ellis’ commentary)! Thanks for a great episode and Tom, the best of luck and keep crushing!
Who needs the nine club when we’ve got Tony and Jace!?
@@JayBoogie666 Well, personally I'm checking out the Nine Club here and there as well, they're not mutually exclusive, but I like the quite different guests HvW have and different kind of history I learn here, but also like the often more technical and perhaps more street skating history stuff you get on the 9, plus they also have perhaps more current affairs tackled.
So love Jason's outros lol.. Its exactly how I talk to my friends.. Great Show and Good Luck Tom you got this in the next two events see ya in the Olympics
Jason is a national treasure even though he’s not from here 😂 he’s a gem of a human
Waking up to this episode made my day!
“Yeah….I don’t know what I’m doing.”😂 I want to be concerned but that timing was great
I was at the Belco Bowl Jam; Tom was amazing. Great chat boys!
As a 50 year old who could never and still can't skate for shit, but idolized Tony as a kid, seeing kids like Tom do his thing.....epic!
These guests and this pod are life! Skate or Die!!
Another great podcast much love and respect to both of y'all . Great to see y'all still spreading the positivity to everyone.
The details of hearing about ramp construction and skills for driving screws and nails (not into your skull). Priceless.
When Tom was talking about his dad it reminded me of my dad (who was a pharmacist and not in the best of shape) convinced me as a kid he knew how to Ollie but he was lying and would just do hippie jumps lol like just jumping off the board and landing on it again and now that i look back on that even that is impressive for a dude who was never on a board. That’s funny the things this podcast reminds me of
congrats to Tom for winning Tampa Vert! all the respect to Jimmy and Moto and Edy, Tom's just as good and creative as all of these guys! I could not understand he wouldn't get to Paris 2024
Love the pod Jason and Birdman! You guys have great chemistry. Best skate podcast imo! This podcast is eventually gonna get a ton of views and subs and I’m here for it! Cheers
Much appreciated!
let's go!!! epic start lol stoked to hear Tom is on Birdhouse!!! congrats
Tom shaar is a mellow fellow I met him at jackalope va beach and thanked him for keeping vert alive.
Best way to start your Monday ! Love this pod ❤🛹
I just saw a tom board with the element logo and I was trying to think is their anyone else on that team. I was happy to see he is going to Birdhouse. Also excited to hear he is pushing for a Olympics bid again.
love this episode!! could listen to you two and tom talk forever
🥰
Skated HVR when Tom was there one year; class act on and off the board!!
There was a contest at the Malibu Skatepark, P.J.’s back in 2001 and Tom was like 3 and skated the halfpipe on his hands and knees. I was there!
And Jason, Eric Dressen is King of the Salad Grind. Respectfully.😜
This episode touched on something high in the stratosphere of skateboarding-what do you do to progress after you've done something that smashes the ceiling. How do you top yourself either through creativity or bravery or both or something else? The notion is incomprehensible at 900s on vert ramps, but relatable because we each have our own ceilings.
That's why Jason being the 2nd person ever to jump/ride a mega ramp is colossal. Figuring out the timing on a mega ramp without ending your career boggles the mind. I'm also thinking I should make a Las-Vegas-Jimmy-Wilkins-style bet off of Tom in the Olympics. Come away from it all rich.
Will donate a portion of my gambling winnings to the Skatepark Project.
Hawk and Ellis together is a pretty good mix 👊🏼
❤️
This pod is so good! We need a John hill episode!
Jason at the end is hilarious we love it 😂😂
Vert is at the top of the skateboarding food chain, always has been ❤ Go big and hual ass ! Hope to see Tom at Tampa Pro , haven't had a vert contest in over ten years there. Time to pry the lid off the coffin 😂
Yes, Another Badass Start Today!
💯💪🏽💯
Skatelite is a death trap. Take that off there and have fun. Removing that stuff from our local and paying for a birtch surface was the best thing we did.
K bye ✌🏻 😂🤣🤣 you guys are the best thank you for continuing the podcasts for us!
9:01 you can literally see this man’s sick bod and 6 pack thru his shirt 🔥
So weird to hear my local park Belco mentioned on this podcast haha it’s located in Canberra btw the capital of Australia 👍
favorite podcast
lots of good laughs throughout this one. USA!
"Backoff Birdman!!!"😂😂😂
Great podcast!
lmao the intro got me good
the drop in fall that broke dads ankle, i fell like that after i missed the coping trying to frontside slash and all my weight went to the back. my board shot out pretty hard and i fell the same way backwards and not a scratch. i guess it was more of a slip out. i just let my weight shift to much
Hey guys just want to say.I really appreciate the shout out to all of us assholes representing!!
Thanks man!
Thanks so much y’all!
I fuckin love Ellis, that dude can call me an asshole all he wants. great episode, tom is so rad, cant wait for all his future video parts!
😊
Vert needs to be Olympic 💯
When life gives you lemons, you Tonya Harding

You need tony alva on here, whats he up to these days....i need some american wasteland nostalgia
Should we start?
Hey hey it’s Tony Hawk
Today... we have a special... special............ special guest !!!
Special.........
Wipe your mouth
Awe no heart for me? 😢
GET TOM IN THE OLYMPICS 🇺🇸
Tony and crew need to try and reach out to Lupe Fiasco for that skating rap connection. Would be awesome!
@hawkvswolf I have tickets for 04.04. Will there be a meet & greet? Thanks.
Okay- I think I can get a new trick. Gonna try it out- invert mall grab.
best episode so far. :D
Great episode! Just wondering why you guys don’t have the reason why God made pools on your podcast Omar Hassan? Talk about epic OG, is there a reason?
39:01 Ellis the ventriloquist
I know Jason has some insane bob gnar stories but will never tell. One day we’ll understand
Great!!!
Hey guys, I'm an old cat, 48 to be exact. Can we agree to old dudes using old names for tricks as long as you young cats know what we're talking about? I feel that'll simplify conversations a bit. Aight then thanks guys!
Adapt to the times dude
Can't do it. Life long non-conformist.
I’m a “young cat” (33 lol) and I completely agree with this sentiment! The old trick names pay homage to the creators of the tricks. For instance I now say “a boneless one” instead of boneless. And a frontside grind is a fs 5-0 grind on a ramp. Know your history, folks. Thanks for the content Birdman and Jason ( been following you for a decade from your XM show Jason). Keep pushing homies!
Tom is fucking BEAST!!! 🤘🔥🤘☠🔥👍
🔥
Vert in Paris?!
Did jason do the mega before Danny 😮
You should have footage of skating
Yea they did also call krooks pointer grinds or peterka grinds
Flatland sharks are real! Jay Henry had a ramp with a troll living in one wall in early 80’s
Nice one boys! Would love to hear Tony give someone the ultimate Aussie compliment, "mad CUNextTuesday" 😂😂
Tom is so handsome lol
I want to hear what Jason really thinks of Danny Way, because their relationship sounds rough as hell
I know Jason likes us, even if he calls us assholes haha
Haha! We don’t like you… we love you ❤️
Jason can call me an asshole anytime!
Pointer grinds are indeed crooked grinds in some areas. I remember some early 90's transworld mags that even printed it (on street though).
379 view. Insta liked😊🎉❤
Please guys, bring Steve Olson on. Stories for days.
Hahahahahaha
Fucks sake Ellis "belco" is the premier event these days
I was shocked that Ellis as a skateboarder from Australia has never heard of Belco. The bowl was legendary in Australian skate circles way before the comp got big. And yes I realise he hasn’t lived here for a long time!
😬 You guys better hope nothing bad happens now at the olympics or they’re gonna hold you responsible. 🤣
I appreciate the arse holes comment, I'd subscribe again but, I can't be arsed to make a new profile.
Huh?
eh
I was gonna like and subscribe until I was called an asshole. ;-)
😘❤️
