Teslas are super quick and have a lot of cool features. But there’s something about the sound and feel of Rwd V8 that’s irreplaceable. You feel more connected to the car. And they’ll always be more badass lol. Imagine Mad Max but with a Tesla. It just wouldn’t be the same. Plus when they stop making hellcats, yours might just be one of the last supercharged V8s.
Try these methods to see if it fixes your controller. :) 1. Bluetooth is known for connection issues. Try using the cable if you can. wired is more reliable. 2. Go to Device Manager > Find your controller > Right click, click properties > Find the checkbox “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”. Make sure that the option is unchecked. 3. Try using a different port for the adapter.
I can say one thing about ur channel. The Content is prolly some of the most unique and best this side of TH-cam. When u eat with friends it's like the viewer is also sitting at the table. Very welcoming tone and presence.
I understand the coolness of the Plaid, but to lose the Hellcat... I dunno bro. I voted yes on your Insta-poll, but I'm not sure I could lose the Hellcat.
Check out a performance 3, much closer to a normal interface than the plaid but still has alot of fun speed, and has track mode so can make it 100% rear wheel burnouts all day. And alot of third party stuff now including sound packs if you really miss that V8 sound.
I had the same controller problem...I just plugged the controller in via USB, and problem solved. I also never need to change batteries, which is a plus.
I have that same issue with Xbox controllers. It seems to help by going into device manager and select the controller and anything to do with Bluetooth then open their Preferences and disable their ability to go to sleep. About the car, I'd say go for the trade up for multiple reasons. I still think ICE cars are better for track/playing around in but the Hellcat isn't manual anyways and isn't known for its handling. If your priority is straight line speed, the Tesla has it whooped as you already know and it offers a lot of daily life improvements. Just do your research about EVs in general. They aren't a straight upgrade and they have their own shortcomings.
Tesla are fun to accelerate but that's about it. The rest of owning it is a pain and the shine wears off fast. It also costs 20K to replace the battery when it dies so don't keep it too long.
The Hellcat will go up in value as ICE go away. The Tesla will plummet in value as more EV's come out. Don't do it. It's a very bad deal for you financially. The Hellcat will pay off huge in the long run

You've got an engine transferring its torque into a transmission which is transferring its torque into a driveshaft which transfers its torque into a differential which transfers its torque into wheels. The Tesla generates torque in motors attached directly to the wheels. It's instantaneous acceleration with no lag and no appreciable loss besides the contact between wheel and road.
Yeah. The hellcat will probibly not loose it's value unless somthing bad happens. Then with the tesla over time the battery's will wear out. And you have to get them replaced. And Tesla's quality is terrible apparently
One thing to think about-- if (more like when) you have a multi-day power loss in your area, you're gonna need a generator backup to charge that e-vic along with power your home, something to think about. I wouldn't fathom getting one especially when the winters here last half the year and regularly get well into negative temps, e-vics just can't handle the serious cold and conditions otherwise. I also highly recommend Pappasito's Cantina when you get a chance, great local Mex/ Tex-Mex chain in TX, there's one off of I-10 W in San Antonio.
Have had no issues with temps at minus 15-20C, plus all the Tesla that ship to cold climates come with their special insulation and heating for the battery and electronics. I barely lose any charge over a week at minus degrees. Don't believe the weird negative hype.
@@Daergarz The local Tesla owners i've talked to here have explicitly stated they lose battery charge 50% faster in this climate and they don't handle the road conditions well at all, I don't believe the e-vic hype.
Tesla doesn't have a great track record with build quality. That said, if I didn't live in a rural winter hellscape, I'd probably consider one, too. Just for that 0-60.
I'd rather buy just about any other EV than a Tesla, I really don't care about the 0.5 of a second that the plaid gets 0-60 I'd rather buy a car with better historical quality and service

Even the cooling system on their 45k model has a more sophisticated and stronger cooling system than a 180k Porsche Taiwan turbo S. Battery cars will absolutely work in any temperature but with reduced range unless you keep it pretty conditioned. I've seen batteries work in places so cold diesel turns to gel.
@@odisy64 that's why diesel trucks come with block heaters... There's plenty of documented issues with Teslas suspension, and a couple total failures. They got sued last month for thier suspension because two people died in a crash and according to the ntsb it was due to suspension failure... Not to mention last month they issued a recall for faulty heat pumps... All EVs struggle in the cold, but I don't know how we even got on that topic. There's plenty of failures from every brand in the cold.

Suspension problem happen to all cars, just look up any companies recall notices. I don't know what specific case you are talking about, their have been multiple scenarios where 2 passengers where killed in a tesla crash but I've never heard over a Suspension issue, it takes over a year for the NHTS to conclude an investigation like that, I don't believe the NTSB investigates things like this. The heat pump issue was related to vent doors being frozen in place allowing cold air from the outside to enter without being heated first, it was not do to heat pump failure, the battery would work without it anyways. The cold brings many issues but stalling a battery is not one of them even if range is reduced.
The only time I've seen the xbox controller get fucky was when the battery was low and it automatically disconnected. The batteries that came with mine were shite.

I'd look into upgrading the dodge some first then see how you feel about it. If you dont know anyone locally with a modded hellcat reach out to a few local shops that work on them. If they dont have one to take you on a test ride, they should be able to get you a ride with a customers car. You already have a truck so an electric car wouldn't be a bad choice, or upgrading the current hellcat. You still have a back up. Could always do plaid and trade the raptor for a trx..
Since 800HP wasn't enough, maybe go take Goldbergs 1300HP for a ride to see how that feels. Besides you can fill your tank and hit the road unlike waiting 8+ hours for a charge.
The real problem is. If you get a tesla there will be a 4 to 6 week install of charging port in your house. Not to mention if you move. Also the constant fear of where to charge esp if you drive like I think you drive

On that xbox controller problem, do you use the xbox dongle for windows or some 3rd party system? I have the one from Microsoft and there's no such problem that it would connect/disconnect constantly. Other thing is that if you are using a dongle, are you sure it is properly seated in and gets enough power.

Love the fun factor of a tesla. However beware of some serious build quality stuff. Give the car a good once over and check for panel gaps and the like. From what I have seen tesla build quality is on par with Detroit in the 1970s.
My friend had an S and Y. Had a terrible ownership experience in the end and decided electric cars had too many drawbacks. Plus they just feel cheap for what you're paying.

Take the Tesla to a location that doesn’t have cell service, and tell us you want a Tesla. EV’s are ok if you never travel. Go 300 miles and you better know where every rapid charger is or pack lots of lunches, blankets and drinks.
Few things about the Tesla. Think about it, when you turn on a light switch on is there a delay? It’s also awd which means it hooks up a lot better then the HellCat. That all being said did you look at your range after driving it like that? You would also have to look at getting a charger set up at your house and probably have an electrician set up a 240V outlet for it. Don’t forget the great power outage of last year. Had you had an EV you would have been screwed.
I agree, but he can't drive the Hellcat during the big freeze of last year either (I was in Texas when there was freezing rain and as a Northern New Englander I was astounded by the number of cars off the road at first). Also, I think he still has the Raptor, so not like he'd be out out a gas rig.

Why drop an extra 30k plus installation cost just for 200 more horsepower. He has the super stock which comes with 807. Just do a pulley, bigger injectors, full exhaust system and a tune for more whp than the hellephant engine.
I ordered an Xbox Elite 2 controller and the USB dongle for Windows 10, and I got the controller before getting the USB. Long story short, while I was using Bluetooth, it kept disconnecting my controller while I was trying to play GTA V. Just get the USB dongle man. It made my life so much easier.

I've only had good Bluetooth luck with external adapters. "On-board" Bluetooth never seems to function "correctly"(PC).

U need to modify the setting for ur controller to run BT constantly. It's pulsating. In PC settings. Look it up

I use a windows wireless controller adapter instead of Bluetooth. It still bugs out but seems more reliable than that.

I recommend using a wired connection for the Xbox controller it's just more reliable and you don't need batteries.

Why drop an extra 30k plus installation cost just for 200 more horsepower. He has the super stock which comes with 807. Just do a pulley, bigger injectors, full exhaust system and a tune for more whp than the hellephant engine.
I ordered an Xbox Elite 2 controller and the USB dongle for Windows 10, and I got the controller before getting the USB. Long story short, while I was using Bluetooth, it kept disconnecting my controller while I was trying to play GTA V. Just get the USB dongle man. It made my life so much easier.
I mean, think about it as a commuter. That Tesla is buried in menus, and other stuff. Plus at least you have aomething familiar in the hellcat.
