I don’t know. Thanksgiving Orphans deserves to be a close second, but the last five minutes of WKRP’s Turkey’s Away put it over the top. The Hindenburg-like description of the turkeys at the Pinedale Shopping Mall put it over the top. “The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement.” 😂 Both episodes however deserve their place as the two best holiday episodes in the history of American television. The slow build up of both episodes were well crafted and well written. You didn’t know where they were going to go, but when they got there, it was well worth the ride.
I wasn't old enough when the series was on tv. I am on season 10 right now. This show would not be on TV today. Sam Malone's character would get the entire series canceled.
3:30 I like when everyone toasted someone who wasn't there and Sam said Coach and they all went yes and all touched their glasses.
I loved this episode. It was hilarious and you could tell the cast loved filming it.. ❤
One of my favorite TV scenes ever!
What a great classic show indeed!!!
One of the funniest scenes in the entire series.
Back in the day this show was awesome.
The best! Diane in the pilgrim outfit....too funny.

2:19: One of my top 10 all time favorite lines of TV.
it's 2023 and this brings a smile to my face 30 years later lol
3:45 Coach :)
Such legends
Vera: Charming friends, Norm. Get your coat.
Norm: Yes, dear.
They cut that out.
I know and I was looking forward to it.
LOL, the scene is classic, from November of 1986.
I Used To Watch Cheers A Lot When I Was 10 Years Old.
Brilliant scene
Kelsey Grammer with a preview of coming Shakespearean overreactions when Frasier bellows the word "Thermometer!"😂🤣😏🌡☕☕👨⚕️📻📺B.W.
2:45 LOL
This is one reason why my mom probably cooks the turkey now on Wednesday night
Much funnier to me than the famous WKRP turkey drop.

Never knew Shelley could scream like that. O.O
Cracks me up every time!
Nostalgia.. 🤣🤣
Love this 😂😂❤
I remember this when it first aired. My mom was like ...NEVER!
Claven had woody in a headlock lol
Trivia the woman who played Norm's wife was George Wendts real life wife.
The VOICE was Norms real life wife, but the actress on screen was someone else. She'd also appeared in an earlier episode of cheers.
No the body is Bernadette Birkett, George Wendts wife

Coach 🍷
Even a ruined meal makes for a great Thanksgiving day. Because you’ve gotten together. And that’s really what it’s about.
I wonder when Sam said coach if that was in the script or if Ted Danson adlibbed it.
I always loved it when Cheers mentioned Coach after his passing. The show was never quite the same after Nick Colasanto died.
@@TravelinBand747 Man, have you got that right. I missed him forever.

What? Gravy skin is the best part of gravy. It's like cooked gravy without the water, where only flavour resides.
Only if you stir it. Otherwise... well, there's no accounting for taste.
A Food Fight on Thanksgiving on the T.V. show Cheers. disgusting but funny.🤣🦃
Coach was definitely there with them. ❤
This was the only time Vera appeared onscreen, and she was actually played by George's real wife Bernadette Birkett.
Wish we could throw stuff around haha

Why and how ? For being sexist
Not if it was on cable.
Lol

Anybody guess how diane was going to finish her sentence..i say " silly sophmoric display "
This was the biggest and best show on TV until seinfeld came along
I liked it much better then Seinfeld
At one point I think Seinfeld was on after Cheers in the lineup
You're right. Seinfeld had more hilarity... until it didn't anymore.
i didn't know woody was on cheers.
The coach
So they are actually friends, and not just bar and bar patrons?
Kelsey Grammer's politics made me hate his shows.
Nobody cares
I feel the same way about the anti-Trump cast of the 'Avengers' franchise. I'll never watch a minute of it.
@@LocalCoot I bet they are regretting that!
Don't let politics have such a hold on you
