I love this move. My tribe didn't get Recognize till 1995. We are the Jena Band of Choctaw. Mostly from Oklahoma after the Indian removal act of 1830 signed by President Andrew Jackson. His actions led to the trail of tears. But this movie was pretty unrelated.
My eldest daughter wants to see the monument in Ireland. For her end of school report. She wrote how your tribe helped the people in Ireland. She also put how they were repaying their blood debt by helping so many tribes during Covid. Personally I never have liked how President Andrew Jackson went against the ruling of the Supreme Court when he did the Indian Removal Act. The Supreme Court recognized all Native Tribes as Sovereign Nations.
My Dad laughed at Graham Green through the whole movie. He is a great actor. All that goes down and the elder gives him the message..And lastly, "They broke my TV." I believe he played the Wakan man perfectly himself.
What a wonderful Father..what a blessed little boy!!❤❤ Every little boy needs their Daddy.. I still cry because my beautiful grandson has lived 11 years without one..as his biological father chose the drug.life..😢..May God continue to watch over you and sweet Weston!!❤❤
I was visiting Wanblee all the way from the East Coast when this was being filmed. I was 16. I moved to Phillip two years later. That’s a long time ago now.
More than just a movie. A history lesson. Fantastic lesson.
My cousins's uncle showed all of us this movie. After telling us about the second Wounded Knee.

Trailer doesn't do this film justice. The movie really captures a feeling of desolation and desperation of life on the reservation. It's a great movie
