Thank you, Becky. You’ve been extremely helpful showing us have courage to play with our embroidery machine and experiment a little bit. Thank you again.
Happy birthday to your son!!!!! Love that your granddaughter has your same mind to sew/embroider! 🥰 She was very brave to an embroidery on a card! So cool! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!🤩😘
I had a stove fire with smoke damage. So whether I want to or not, I've been forced to go through everything in my house to clean, declutter, and organize. You Bat Cave cleanout can out just in time! Thanks for the tips!
I love it, and you are tempting me with the whole machine embroidery, I’m scared of discovering another expensive rabbit hole. But I think in this case I will start shopping for buttons. 😂 but love your company while I starch fabric to join you in this quilt along!
Becky, thank you for going thru how to create a shape in the Designer section of our machines. I am not familiar with it. So I tried making the "berry" and had a sew-out of just the outside part of the berry and couldn't get the 1/4" size. So went back in and noticed I could pick a filled shape. Picked the filled circle and was able to get it to .25" and then stitched it out. PERFECT! I am so thankful for your channel and all the work you do for us! YAY! ♥
Great lesson this morning. When you're just doing a fill, you don't need to use the line area at all - I think that's why you got the satin stitch around your fill. Ask me how I know?
Becky, I think you need to lower your embroidery foot just a bit. Having it too high off the surface of the fabric can cause thread problems. Also, using your mouse pointer is helpful for moving things around. Callies card is so sweet!
Hi Becky, Where did you get that disc, you were reading from about the different stabilizers, needles and other info on. I saw DIME on it.? As always, LOVE your channel, you are just so full of information!!!! Thanks....Alberta from Southern, MD.....☃☃☃
I don't sew buttons by hand (4 letter word!) I have a button foot for my machine. Check and see if you may get one for Darla. If you have candle wicking stitches on Darla you could also size one of the round ones, stitch singly and be done with it. Likely you could also then size it to 0.25 and be done with it. If those with TOL Pfaff (Icon or Icon2) there are lots of videos on TH-cam for our stitch creator. You might try some of the 80/12 embroidery or top stitch needles. I've used that size most often on my Pfaff. If you'd bring your bobbin thread to the top, then start stitching you design, then you wouldn't end up with the tiny knots on the back of your design. You also could have used heavy weight tear away stabilizer. I personally don't like to have a lot of extra stuff in my final product so do use tear away when possible. Most tear away doesn't disintegrate in the wash, only stitch and wash will. If you use 2 pieces of regular tear away you'll still keep the integrety of your stitches. OESD does put out a wash and tear but I'd not use it for your berries.
Becky The quilted Cow in Springfield Missouri is not worth your time. The one Branson West is fun. I'm going to try to be in your class at Shawn's. One of the best shops in south Missouri is The Rusty Moon, Willow Springs. They are a Brother dealer. Super nice people. That could be on your way to Arkansas. I teach bag classes there. I'll talk to them about you. Would love it if you did a class there. I hope you will see this message.
Watching on the replay. This is pure genius! I have 2 embroidery machines and I have already sewn a crap ton of buttons onto a snowman quilt. :( Lesson learned! Thank you for reminding us to think outside of the box!
Leave the berries alone. It is one little six inch block in a great big quilt of how many blocks. Nobody will ever notice. This is a hand made quilt. It isn't meant to be perfect.
Thank you, Becky. You’ve been extremely helpful showing us have courage to play with our embroidery machine and experiment a little bit. Thank you again.
When the block is on the quilt the 2 berries will look perfect!

I love this. Hope I can remember this if I want to add buttons to a project.

Embroidery is SO wonderful! Once you begin, it's so enjoyable!
Callie will be leading my daughter 😂😂😂
Such fun.
Thank you today opened my eyes. I would add a few embroidery stitches on the buttons with a metallic thread. My opinion only. 🤭
Hi Becky,
Never mind, I found it on your affiliate page. Thanks, Alberta from Southern, MD...😊😊

Good morning!
You are a great inspiration.
