The Talleys will ALWAYS be one of my all time favorites ever!!!! Loved them with Kirk and then Lauren, they sure raised a power house anointed singer! Their music is timeless and lives on continually blessing old and new listeners💯❤️🙏✝️🕊️
The Talley's is the first group I fell in love with back in the late 1980's . I'll never forget listening to wwxl 103.1 FM from Manchester Kentucky. I knew a DJ at the radio station named Steve Perkins and I say, " hey Steve, what group sings Where Ever I am,? He said, " that's The Talley's. I said that's my New favorite gospel group. Ever since then, I've never stopped listening to these guys. They will Always be my favorite group of all time. God bless you guys. I saw you a few years back in Somerset KY and spoke to you. P.S I still remember Debra's testimony on the Campbell Gospel Show. I played piano for the Bishops in 1989 & 1990. Love you all.
No one has left a mark on me quite like the Talley Trio. I cried all day the day they made their announcement of retirement. Their music has always made me feel safe, loved, and brought me closer to God. Our youth group used to use their music all the time. “The Debt”, “His Life For Mine”, and “He’s Alive” were always used in our Easter productions. Thank you Roger and Debra for your years of service. You deserve a happy retirement.
Just know, I am a singer but life circumstances prevented me from fulfilling my destiny - in doing what you do!! You all hav been one of my favorite groups thru the years. Im in Missouri and hav never been able to see u in person, but listen and watch thru youtube. Love Lauren and her voice as well. You have touched me in many ways, and many times hav been a catalyst to deep and life changing prayer!! Much luv, Debi
Hi Debra. Its nice to see you and Roger. Thank you for everything you poured into our ministry through the Steve Hurst School of Music. You are very special to us. Greg & Cheryle Bettis.
Roger and Debra Talley are two of my favorite people on the planet. In my book, Debra will always be the Queen of Southern Gospel Music, and when it comes to producing, artist development, arranging, and piano playing, you cannot beat Roger. I thank God for their years of ministry, and I know that one day, countless people (including me) will thank them for escorting them to throne room of Heaven through their music. God bless them.
Beautiful interview - the Talley’s have had such a wonderful ministry for many years. So glad they faithfully gave of themselves as they worked for the Kingdom. I know God will continue to use them until He calls them home. They are such a blessing!! 🙏❤️🙏
God bless and continue the anointing of the Talleys. I loved them for years before it dawned on me the impact that Roger's abilities have on their music. And, for my money, give me a rocking chair, a warm summer evening, a glass of iced tea, and a few albums of Debra Talley singing. Keep it going in retirement. DWR
@@normagordon1375 he didn't help make their career. It's kind of like Steve Riley been told that he helped make La guns or he helped make wasp just cuz he was there for a few years and he's banned. What about Kirk?....why havent you talked bout Kirk and his demanding voice better than yours? Did Kirk Die?......what happened to love your brother as yourself?
If not everything is victorious, they may well have thought that the most compassionate thing would be to not bring up Kirk at all, rather than expose his struggles publicly, in this format.
@@richardloewen7177, But he shouldn't have been blacklisted. He actually never acted on anything and I think if I'm correct he's contributed some stuff for EHSS.
@@richardloewen7177, Mentioning Kirk, his talents and contributions to the success of the trio could have been done without delving into his personal life.
I have never understood what people see in this band. They don't write their own songs or play instruments. There are another 300 bands in gospel music like that.
You must be trolling or confused. Roger Talley is one of the best piano players and arrangers and The Talleys have put out some of the very best hits in Southern Gospel history through their career. Not to mention Debra’s deep alto range, plus their daughter Lauren has one of the most unique voices in the business. Kirk, Roger’s brother, wrote many songs and was one of the greatest tenors is SGM. You must have them confused with someone else.
I stick to my original observations. There are another 300 bands like this in the Gospel world. Just my opinion and I am entitled to have one.@@gayel.wright8551

I love their talents, but I love their hearts!really
Love this family! Sill enjoy their ministry in music. Watch it with my mother in assisted living. Blesses us so much. Thank you, folks!!.
always wanted to see Debra in person she has one of the three voices I would trade for in a heartbeat
Beautiful servant ❤
Debra I understand about not knowing your voice I lost mine pretty much to asthma. thankfully God doesn't mind what it sounds like
Why was Kirk Talley not recognized or mentioned for writing most of the songs they sang their whole career?
He’s gay
Just the first few years
And this interview was about them not the whole group
@@bryanwhite5356, But his writing skills helped to propel them to notorioty so there should have been a little mention just as they mentioned Lauren.

Kirk?

He had a season of serious spiritual straying. (Hopefully deeply restored.)
