It's about temptation guys💜 each younger is paired with an older except for Jin who stands in front of the painting titled The Rebellion of the Fallen Angels, JK represents Icharus as you see him floating under the painting and feathers are in the air. On each side of Jin is a door, one black one white,V does represent a fallen angel, the apple represents sin.. in the end Jin gives into the temptation and he kisses the statue of the good Abraxis, who is said to represent both good and evil... It's taken from the book Demian by Herman Hesse
I once heard an obscure interview with BTS, where Jimin said, "we showed them who we are on Blood, Sweat and Tears. If they didn't get it then, we can't help it."
The fantastic mv from bts!! Has to do with temptation! More in depth but the point. Rm the temptation of drugs in which he temps jk into taking. Jimin with the Apple ( sin) which he’s blindfolded to help him reject the temptation but in the end when the blindfold is removed you see the green streaks meaning he fell to temptation. All members were tempted or tempted others. With the exception of suga who offered Jimin the blindfold. V was the fallen angel.
You guys. You have to watch the dance practice for this video. When they all jump, it sounds like 2 feet hitting the floor instead of 14. They are so in synch. They rehearse watching frame by frame to be so in synch

❣️BTS era HYYH [Chinese characters that say Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa translated meaning "The Most Beautiful (Happiest) Time In Life"] started with their song I Need U, released in the beginning of 2015, when BTS, as well as their HYYH storyline of youth, or anyone who could relate, was dealing with all the trials & tribulations, angst, frustrations, hardships, choices, decisions, etc. during their adolescence until Wings era, which main introduction song was “Blood, Sweat! & Tears”. An absolute must for you to see is: ❣️Blood Sweat & Tears: What Does it All Mean? by the channel don't worry I'm not afraid!! (It also has parallels to the novel 'Demian' by Hermann Hesse, which is also most helpful to read if looking for explanations or answers) where BTS was coming out of adolescence and going into adulthood once again having to go through more struggles, choices, & decisions once again. The HYYH era officially ended with the final concert from BTS Wings Tour in Seoul. Which then brought them to the Love Yourself era. And so it continued, along and parallel to BTS members growth as well. BTS songs all along the way, have been so meaningful & inspirational for so many. Speaking up for the disenfranchised. Ppl (youth) who weren’t always able to speak up for themselves. Helped many with encouragement to keep on going, follow one’s dreams, never give up, & keep on going. Indeed it even helped many to literally survive! This is one of the many reasons BTS had such diehard, loyal fans in army since the very beginning! The song “N.O” (no offense”), released end of 2013, BTS third released song, is one of just those songs that speaks up for all the pressure one deals with especially in S.Korean society to fit in the mold of what society expects, as well as even ones parent want as opposed to following one’s own dreams. Very rare for artists to speak up like this against some of the injustices at the time, since they could get blacklisted. The president at the time was quite corrupt, but was ousted, impeached, at the end of 2017. The new president afterwards even awarded BTS merit of honor medal, they were youngest to receive it, for all the support in so many ways they offered for ppl, as well as getting the world to discover& become aware of S.Korea in so many ways. 📌Side Note: There will be plenty of BTS songs that have even more deeper hidden meaning that I also recommend you watch a meaning or explained vid for after wards as well! Many of which that appear lighthearted & fun with upbeat sound as well as even choreography, (that has many moves that in actuality quite ingeniously go along with the lyrics) but indeed these songs have some of the deepest meaning many speaking up against societal problems that need to change. 🙏👍❤️🔥🔥😍
So happy you’re discovering more about BTS. 55 year old ARMY since 2018. This is just one example of why they’re the best and why many other idols idolize them. For example example, Yeosang, Wooyoung and Jungho of Ateez all look up to a member of BTS as inspiration. I can think of several other people too. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
You can spend hours dissecting all the symbolism in this mv. The painting depicted the war between angels and demons. There was a white angel statue and a black devil one. The painting was between a white door and a black one. The statue with the black wings is Icarus, if you know the myth connected to him you know he died from his own hubris. And yes, V represents the fallen angel that is tempting Jin. There were apples on the table representing the temptation of Adam and Eve. And I have only scratched the surface of the symbolism.
Highly recommend, If you're interested in finding out the so many meanings, a must to react to is: ❣BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS: WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN by the channel Don't worry I'm not afraid. 👍🙏💜❤😍🙌✨ It's the most detailed explanation, referring to everything including excerpts from novel by Hermann Hesse 'Demian', translations & quotes from Neitzsche which is on the wall. As well as explaining Art works & scultures. Just so many details one might overlook otherwise It's basically about youth/adolescence, turning into adulthood, with new feelings, sensations, & temptations, and the choices & paths one chooses! Even the choreography reflects on the meanings of the song!!!
Sou Patrícia Carneiro, tenho 45 anos, a psicóloga e sou army. 🇧🇷💜
BTS' lyrics and MV's are mostly about the human experience and all its facets, they are full of symbolism and references from literature, psychology, art, etc. So, when we watch an MV or listen to a BTS song, we can see that there are several layers. That's what happens in this case. Therefore, I strongly suggest that you watch the following explanatory video (or any other video you prefer that also explains) so that you better understand the message of this song: Blood Sweat & Tears: What Does it All Mean? th-cam.com/video/5tlgAUE6yjg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=116Aokszkamq4laN 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This is my high-level personal take, integrating my ideas with stuff from other folks who sounded sensible to me--many will interpret it their own different way. Even with this long-ass comment, we're leaving a lot out: Young men growing up, going out into the world and encountering temptation. Lots of imagery of Icarus and Lucifer, those classical examples of overreach. The sunset meal resembles the last supper, but the only food on the table is the apple, symbol of forbidden knowledge. Black and white, light and dark options are shown on all sides. They keep rejecting the option to remain blinded and ignorant by pushing the hands away from covering their eyes. JHope speaks of opting for what he knows is a toxic relationship, while ignoring and erasing the expression of religion, at the same time Suga and Jimin are doing what--bondage games?--up in the attic. RM and JK are in the bedroom sampling all kinds of substances (the green drink absinthe is a known hallucinogen), and possibly each other (JK panting on the bed). Jin releases a balloon symbolizing childhood, and can't call it back. And V is hosting it all (it's his house, not a museum--that's why he's in a bathrobe) and embodying the person who lost his wings. The video is based on the novel Demian by Hermann Hesse, and is very heavily influenced by the psychoanalyst Carl Jung, mentor and therapist to Hesse. The content is about shedding your childhood innocence and entering into maturity by embracing all the world offers, and learning to choose between bad and good. The black-winged figure is Abraxis, the fount of knowledge of good and evil, who Jin comes to fully accept with the kiss. And accepting that means everything shatters, including the certainties of religion (the Madonna exploding) and even breaking out of your own little eggshell (the cracking of Jin's porcelain complexion), so that you can mature into your fully actualized self. The quote in German over the mirror is from Nietzsche, and translates roughly as "One must have chaos within to be able to give birth to a dancing star." You can't reach your full potential until you can embrace all of the world, including the dark bits. The song is from their album Wings, an exploration of growing up and a real departure for them musically. BTS went on to create another two sets of albums--the Love Yourself songs that addressed the need to be a self-loving, fully-actualized person before you can really fully love anyone else, and the Map of the Soul albums based on Jung's theories, about integrating into a whole person. And those videos are great too. Check out RM's Persona, Suga's Shadow, and JHope's Ego. My personal favorite is the Love Yourself: Tear album--the one where you realize that love won't last if you are wearing a mask to delude yourself and your partner about who you really are. Singularity, Fake Love, the Truth Untold, 134340 (that's Pluto's non-planetary body designation--it's Pluto's breakup song), Paradise, Love Maze, Airplane Pt2, Anpanman, So What, Outro Tear, and ARMY's comfort song Magic Shop--absolute gold, every one. So if you want to keep doing BTS, there's lots of material to work with.
