    That isn't a fuel gage on the right. I was hoping you could tell us what it actually is.

      Totally correct, we did miss that on the video - the fuel gauge is actually in the bottom center. The guage on the right is actually a fuel economy / usage monitor. It works in tandem with the switch below the screen which allows you to switch between max power or fuel efficiency modes for the engine. When you are in fuel efficiency mode the meter measures how fuel efficient your machine is running (gallons/hr), and in power mode it meters the estimated engine output power percentage.

    I enjoyed your video and it was very straight-forward and informative. I'm considering buying one of these Kubota mowers here in Central Texas. I currently own a John Deere Z645 zero turn mower but at times it seems to be very under-powered in high and/or thick vegetation. I'm hoping the Kubota will allow me to mow areas I sometimes mow using a three-point rotary cutter and tractor.

      Should be a nice increase in horsepower, about 20% over the Z645. Although you may want to consider a ZG or ZD series model if you're looking to mow through really thick areas, as they are driveshaft/gearbox driven and may last longer than a main belt drive for your application.
      The ZD series are also Diesel powered with tons of torque so that sounds like it may work better for you. We do have a video on them if you're curious to check it out: th-cam.com/video/myJ0j1wrdJY/w-d-xo.html

      @@crystaltractorThanks for the info! I'm looking at your video now. I've never researched the Kubota mowers before so this is all new to me.

    Can those control arms be reversed for big guys? It looks like there is a bend in them and if reversed and/or switched sides, they would provide more stomach room?

      The 700 series control arms have two height adjustment positions (about one-inch difference) as well as a bit of pivot room built into the mounts. It is also possible to mirror them like you're suggesting and that would gain quite a bit more room, but it also might make it harder to operate because you'd be having to push out uncomfortably far when traveling forward.
      We'd actually reccomend checking out a Gravely model to maybe be better suited to your needs. Gravely control arms (excluding ZT X & XL models) have a unique design where they can be used in the vertical or horizontal position. We've actually had a couple customers make their decision on one for that specific reason.
      If you're interested we have a Gravely 660 video here that shows that feature at about 5 minutes in:

    The problem is the brake spin doesn't come up when depressed. You have to take your foot and pull it up to crank.

      Sounds like your pedal may be bent, or just needs some lubrication at the hinge

    No one ever shows how to engage the blades or change the blade height.

    • @crystaltractor
      @crystaltractor  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We did gloss over that a bit... If you watch at 3:52 you can see where Grant goes over the transport lock feature on the deck, mentioning the dial on the right that had it set at the 1" position. With that dial you can set the deck height from 1" to 5" simply by pushing the foot pedal down, turning the dial to the height setting you want, and releasing the pedal. Engaging the blades is pretty standard as well. There is an electronic PTO engagement switch there on the same side (the yellow button). You just pull it up to start the blades, and push it back down to disengage. Hope this helps!
