freaking awesome video. It's impressive that you can fit that much stuff on a 20mm shank

Did you ever try adding chromatic brush or arctic fox tail into the Lady Amherst section of the forward hackle? The teaser video that OPST released with Jerry tying shows a MUCH heavier hackle in that section. Nice tie! Going to be messing with this a lot

I love the chromatic brushes. I haven't used fox in this fly, but use it in a ton of others. You can use this video as a base, but go hog wild and explore other materials that you like. Options are limitless.

@@theportlandflyshop Thanks! Just trying to analyze the little info thats out there on this fly! I think it’s the coolest looking squid/intruder I’ve seen. Jerry’s proportions and translucent effects he gets on this and the dirty hoh are hard to replicate haha. It looked like there might be some sort of fox in the original OPST video in that section of the loop

@JAL94 there easily could have. I talked to Jerry at length before I did this video and took his recipe at that time, but, he evolves his patterns regularly. What this start as are not the same as they end up. He's always evolving

Sick fly. You guys should show the Klamath style micro intruders that are sold in the shop.

Here's a question from a semi-new tier: What do you do with all your not terrible but slightly mis-proportioned flies? Toss em? On one hand I'm hesitant to toss something fishable, on the other hand flies are stacking up....

Well, to be honest, I have gallon zip lock bag that's stuffed to the brim of reject flies. Once it gets to where I can't get anymore in, I razor blade the material off and keep the shanks/eyes/cones/etc and tie more flies. I usually only bring flies I'm happy with. If I don't like them, I wont use them anyway, then they just rust in the box

Hello, I am writing to you from Argentina.
I have a question, what are the dimensions of "Jerry Composite Loop Card"?.
    Thank you.
