SM needs to give MORE live stages to aespa cuz i really see the determination and the sight of willingness for singing live and enjoying the stages in the girls. Like i can accept the fact of fans saying aespa never sings live but saying that they aren't capable to do so kinda offends me tbh cuz at the end it's literally not the girls' fault and they're talented af💀yall should really check out their japan showcase and coachella if you still doubt their capability of singing live. :))
When ppl say they have horrible stage presence…I mean if you were forced to lip sync almost every single time you go on stage, you will eventually get fed up. Let the girls sing so they can improve themselves. I’m not even a fan of them and I feel bad for them
@@watzit4620 aespa literally did many live stage after and before that Aespa has black mamba stage live Coachella Jimmy kimel life’s too short Good morning America, they sang LTS, black mamba live SMETOWM next level, black mamba and savage Has the LA showcase The Japan showcase Korean showcases You are just an ignorant and decide to believe they only have sing live in Coachella 💀god people like you are the one everybody hates
the wonderland opinion???whaaat ateez did not drop a masterpiece like "fever pt.2"for this slander 😭. as well as inception, answer, don't stop, fireworks & deja vuuuu
Whoever said #10 has not had their ears blessed by ATEEZ's newest album especially Cyberpunk. Even with Deja Vu, they have very strong title tracks and good b-sides.
Agree. Their new Album is no skip for me and I honestly enjoy listening to the album from beginning to end because the music flows so cohesively (I’m not one to overly care about album cohesiveness but when it is I enjoy).
usually ateez's music is not my cup of tea but i really liked answer especially turbulence!!! do they have any song with the same vibes as turbulence? i'd love to listen ☺️
i’m not saying that other hybe artists got it easy for debuting after txt, but man on man the hate train for txt during 2019 was a whole different level. got to the point where they got mad about the fact that apparently txt was ‘too perfect’ and every hate tweet about them had over thousands of likes when they literally just debuted and was still 16-18 years of age.
Not to forget how hypocritical it was to blame TXT for a privilege so many other groups had for years. Like do you guys all think that Bp, Twice, Itzy, Red Velvet, Exo etc. started from the bottom? No. Their debuts were anticipated because they came from the big 3 and they were associated with big names in the industry. Of course, TXT had an easier start than groups of small companies and every single group that debuts under the big 4 will continue to have an easier start but that’s just how it is.
heavy on the first one. the amount of hate TXT got during the time of their debut was insane. I mean yes I did get to know about them through BTS, but that doesn't mean I liked them because of BTS. there is a difference between knowing through X and getting popular because of X. yes in the beginning, many of the moas were armys as well but those armys who used to and still say they became famous JUST because of bts are annoying as fuck. TXT has one of the best discographies in kpop. you don't find yourself liking the music of group just because they're from the same company as the ones you stan, you like them because their music is good. from their debut till now, TXT has never disappointed with their music. I love their music as theirs not as "BTS'S BROTHER GROUP'S"..
ONEUS is famous but people still don't pay them attention, the same happens with AB6IX, CIX, CRAVITY. Like when they are talking about 4th gen bgs they never include these groups even though they are also famous. I think that was what op was meaning. And yes, Same Scent won its 4th win and overall ONEUS has 5 wins🏆
YES YES AND YES!! the problem isn't that they don't have a big fandom, they do, but the general public is lazy at including them to 4th gen bgs talks bc '' nobody knows them '' when some already had a 1st win (biggest exemple would be cix' movie star, they are one of the fastest group who had their 1st win, still aren't talked abt that much proof : everytime I see them being talked abt, I get excited! the same goes for oneus cravity ab6ix etc etc). I know there are people that don't know them, it's fine, but don't tell us to not talk abt groups that YOU don't know (like calling them nugu smh).
And yes, same scent (and the whole album tbh) is INCREDIBLE!!!! and oneus be killing it on every shows! I'm just so proud of them, like being a group that never gets any win, to now, a group that gets a lot of wins!
@@hater-des-ploucs actually during previous releases oneus competition against some groups after kingdom they always have good sales and there music chart good in Korean charts so now this week there are not much big artists have comeback so they managed to have that many wins
about the lyrics talking about homophobia and racism… it’d be great if there were any (there’s very few, for example jhope’s equal sign talks about it) but the thing about such an important issues is that they are very sensitive topics in korea and they would get too much of a backlash, so company’s will never agree to it. even when explaining the songs meanings, artists often talk about them very generally because they know they can’t get into details without getting in trouble with public.
this. the only kpop song i know that touches on homophobia a bit is song jieun's "don't look at me like that", and as stunning and emotional as it is, it's also relatively unknown
i agree,, i know almost nothing about korean society but from the fact that virtually no company has allowed artists to put out songs like this its pretty obvious that most koreans are likely not very receptive about these issues.. until the society changes kpop will never expand into these topics
@sunreads I mean, the fact that there's probably about 10-15% of K-pop girls and guys are most likely L G or B themselves but don't want to be out publicly because it could either ruin their lives and careers, or it could bring the wrong kinds of attention instead of focusing on just their abilities as a singer they would then always be called "that gay/bisexual" idol.
Im sick of people saying ATEEZ are flops, like I tried to get a ticket recently to their shows in Korea and like 40,000 seats sold out in 1 day! They are getting so appreciated and it makes me happy 😊
For #5, Mayfly's rap unit's(Ateez's Hongjoong, BTOB's Minhyuk and Stray Kids' 3RACHA) song was about racism and that we're all equal no matter what colour we are.
Yes! Lol I was actually looking for a comment that mentioned this. Here's the thing tough, when they performed it... They did so for the world. Which is kinda why they did it. Which is kinda what I was going to bring up about SKZ in particular. They write A LOT of music about serious subjects, it's important to them. However, they were also very open about WHY they have yet to confront certain subjects. Apparently, if it's a song that is going to go onto their Korean comeback album, they need to be careful. It IS Korea after all. Homophobia in particular, is something that there's a double standard on. In other words, go ahead and enjoy your skinship and your bromaces. After all you are in a boy group and they are your day to day companions. It's a normal thing, no problem.... JUST DONT ACTUALLY BE GAY!! 🤯 Honestly, it would probably take all the major groups out there agreeing to write a "serious subject" track on that topic, and releasing them on their new comebacks all together. Just to avoid the possibility of being targeted by those who would want to make it go away. One group releasing a track like that... The first one? I bet you anything they would find themselves is a bad situation. So yeah, this is something that needs to be taken very seriously. That said... I know for a fact there are many who want to. As for now though. As a STAY I can only speak for their music. But they have a considerable amount of music pertaining, quite deeply in fact, to everything from mental illness, to the corruption of governments and the problems of society. To be fair though, the OP is likely not fan of Stray Kids. Lol So I can't expect her to know that. Generally speaking, when it comes to Stray Kids. Your either love them, or you hate them. There is incredibly little in-between. On top of which, kpop pretends as if b-sides don't even exist unless you stan that group. I mean, that's the majority of everyone's music... How silly. Lol So, just for fun. A song recommendation. With an important message. 😁 Of course... "Stray Kids- "Voices" Special Performance Video" 🖤
@@DaddiesLittlePsycho I love Voices performance video. SKZ have been doing songs and speaking up on issues since pre debut. I respect them so much. They have spoken about taboo subjects in SK such as suicide, bullying, mental health and so much more. Many groups make songs about mental health but the fact that SKZ write it themselves and truly mean it means so much. They keep all their songs(expect airplane) gender neutral so everyone can relate to it, many of their love songs don't only refer to the romantic kind but can also be platonic love so more people can connect to what they release etc. They're so inspirational.
I just commented about this seconds ago because I was worried this wasn't discussed nor brought up in the comments, but I'm relieved we have the same sentiment
ONEUS is actually a pretty balanced group imo like they're not that big but they're also not that small at all, their comebacks are pretty consistent, their sales are good too and they have a solid fanbase
agree ! as a new tomoon i'm so proud of their recent successes that have gotten them this good tier of recognition :) ofc you always want your groups to be more and more successful but the pace at which they're making progress now is great ! also- i love your username loll💀Newton sunbaenim why'd you make physics so hard
Honestly, I was really surprised by the amount of wins Oneus had this comeback. I think that the timing was really right, and that they are gaining more and more exposure (multiple of their clips went viral, like the one where Hwanwoong unbuttons the shirt). They had a decent boom of popularity after kingdom but it kinda died down after that. I think they average 25 millions views per comeback which is pretty good in itself but kpop is an industry where people love to compare and bring up numbers so unless you're making BTS numbers fans always feel like it's not enough. I still think that they deserve a lot more, especially since they've been consistently putting out very good music. They're in the same lane as PK, where they're a decently popular group but have yet to get people really talking about them (very few TH-camrs actually cover them, the ones I can remember on the top of my head are Planet Minjae and Everglow up).
I completely agree, I was surprised by the number of ones they had this time but I'm super happy for them! I think some people who were a fan of Luna were probably not as big a fan of BIO so they might have come back with Same Scent, since it's not such a loud song if that makes sense. I also agree with the PK thing. Barely anyone even makes compilation videos for them, so it's difficult for people to get into the fandom. However PK are only in their second year, so I think their popularity will increase like it did for Oneus.
@@fae91 I seemed to notice that people were less fond of some of their more ‘noisy’ titles tracks. Bring it On and No Diggity are the most common disliked songs of Oneus from what I’ve seen. Maybe rbw understood that and tries to give them title tracks similar to Luna.
@@lia_anh I LOVE No Diggity and I think BIO is okay.. I'm so happy that Oneus got so many wins this CB.. They really deserve it.. I only started stanning in Luna era but I have loved their music since I heard Lit the first time.. Wins also have a lot to do with timing.. I don't think Oneus would have gotten those 4 wins if BP had a CB at the same time.. It's sad that a lot of the big groups who doesn't even go to music show can win week after week.. They really need to change the rules about that 🥺
for the treasure one, they’re extremely popular and if yg gives them a lot of comebacks instead of every year/ two years, they would be at the top top. I briefly stanned them, but for me to continue to stan the group they need to constantly release new music or at least some content 🤷🏻♀️
Oh shoot they are pretty good. YG boy groups are usually really good but if they aren’t Big Bang then YG is like meh ._. Sadly I won’t stan them because they don’t have much music out but if they create more bops and YG give them screen time then I could stan
See I can ageee on that and the same goes for blackpink as well and winner and ikon these the only groups I Stan under yg ohh and treasure he gives them combacks almost every year which I will never under why would he do tha to treasure treasure is your 4th gen new boy group u suppose to push them and out them out but he kinda sows Jikjin blew up and so did dadari their comeback soon and I can’t wait too see how it’s finna be anyways Stan treasure
6:23 this literally screamed Nmmix for me because they can sing, dance, and somewhat rap but their music just isn't good and then people get mad when I say I'm not gonna stan them the whole point of K-Pop for me is good music like sure they can cover other songs really good but can they make songs that are really good
Literally all the songs on ATEEZ's new album were amazing...what in the hell is that person smoking, I dont even stan them but that album is amazing and I added every song to my playlist. Also...yes a part 2 and maybe 3 for this...hehe
I'm glad that aespa's performances have been mostly live lately (japan promotions, coachella, showcases, smtown). BUT, I will forever blame SM for creating this stigma against aespa. They do sing live but SM plays the backtrack awfully loud and more than one time, played over a recorded live vocals over their performances. Like, it sucks and it seems the girls have been wanting to remember them as good singers and that they do in fact can sing live.
only a fool will question their live singing. they are singers who are properly trained for a certain amount of time. they are the best vocal group in 4th gen.
People love to hate aespa When aespa sold 1 million copies : SM faked that When IVE sold 1 million copies : Monster rookies!!!!! Poor aespa My girls deserved better
Well can't deny the fact they have Rookie Grandslam in their name. For Ive even tho they r doing really well among their peers , Rookie Grandslam is not possible cuz they have already lost one roty at sma which is one of the criteria for RG.
Aespa are one of my favorite 4th gen groups, I don't love to hate them, I love to not hate them, I hate to hate them, wait... Okay I've just confused myself.
when bts sang live at their own concert and their main vocalist had a voice crack, antis and even so called "fans" started slandering said member calling him things like "untalented, bad vocalist, fake idol" etc. and some fans even used it against said member saying he doesn't deserve to be the main vocalist and another member should be. people were literally calling him a bad singer because of some stupid mistakes everyone makes 💀💀 and it wasn't only bts, it was most groups that sang live. AND these mistakes are still being used against bts to this day. we've seen the general public totally tear apart idols and groups for doing nothing, like eating a strawberry, so imagine if a vocalist were to make a mistake during their song. I always think about this when I see/hear fans wanting their favs to sing live. I think companies are scared of their groups/idols getting slandered, and they'd rather have their new groups come off as perfect than making mistakes.
opinion 10 made me cackle lmao ateez objectively has one of the greatest discographies in kpop (4th gen at least definitely up there with txt, skz and enhypen)
ATEEZ have so many god-tier songs after Wonderland.....Answer, Inception, Take Me Home, Deja Vu, The Real, Turbulence, Cyberpunk, The Ring, New World.... the list goes on honestly
Another thing is that Kpop boy groups have longetivity. Most girlgroup's success are from general public while boygroups have more dedicated fans or both like bts. That's why 4th gen girlgroups are more succesful than 4th gen bg. Another thing is that girlgroups are easily loved by both genders. Be it music, fashion, or just straight up simping.
anon who sent in the 10th opinion about ateez, are you okay 💀? that is such a big lie objectively speaking, ateez's music quality has only gotten better and better with each release and the recent album is a very good example of that, there's no way you can say they haven't had a good release in the past 2 years when we got gems like answer, turbulence, thanxx, deja vu, fireworks, inception and literally all the bsides of all the fever albums
whoever wrote opinion 10 has to be tripping lol ateez was the group that fully pulled me into kpop and tbvh wonderland isn't even on their top 5 songs list for me personally... and their bsides are probably some of the best bsides i hear around!!
don't get me wrong, I absolutelyyy love IVE but the fact that IVE doesn't get hate for lipsyncing many times but aespa does (ik they clearly have lipsyned more than IVE have had) is one more example of double standards in k-pop and the fact that it happens to almost every SM group is really annoying. Considering what i have seen so far, aespa really do be having more stable singing as a group than IVE considering how aespa songs are more based on vocals filled with high or sometimes lower notes. Liz and yujin are really really stable tho like considering how they are given most subtle parts in the song.
But like...liz got 2 lines in after like then she vanished into thin air while leeseo and wy got more...and leeseo literally cracked in their latest university performance. That's suspicious
aespa has sang LIVE more than 50 times out of their 65 performances this year. they don't sing live UNLESS people pay to see them perform like in their Los Angeles, South Korea, and Japan showcases, SM town Suwon, SM Town Japan (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4), GMA Summer concert series performances, Tokyo Girls Collection event. Their songs are especially very HARD to sing so SM so smart for making them sing live only in selected events. I don't ever want them to end up like Yuju and Hyolyn who suffered vocal regression after overworking their voice. Tho this is not the case for Hyolyn anymore since she successfully got back her voice after a long hiatus.
honestly OP's opinion is completely stupid, and just proves the point the fact that kpop stans has hypocrisy and double standards towards aespa when it comes to live performance but DONT even pay attention to their actual live materials
Actually I agree with the opinions+ aespa or any other grp should not get hate for lip syncing cuz performing while singing is hard and sometimes lip syncing is the best way to give fans a great performance. But SM do need to get over making them sound PERFECT in every stage.
Singing live while dancing is their job tho, and it's not like aespa's dances are difficult either. Nobody expects them to sing a song live 100% but at least some live vocals every once in a while should be the bare minimum, they are singers after all and they trained for this. The few times they did sing live they proved that they could in fact sing live and they were pretty stable too so it's really just SM that needs to get their shit together and get hated on tbh, not the girls but I get that people generally complain about their lack of live vocals.
On one hand, I wish they trusted their idols abilities and allowed them to sing live even if they are bound to make vocal mistakes (especially if it's a vocal based group, like, why did they make Mamamoo lipsync?). On the other hand, I don't mind lip syncinc at all but will always will give more credit to groups that sing live (or with prerecorded vocals even)
Just shame SM they been doing it since 1st Gen and I remember Shinhwa literally joked around on stage and having a horrible lip sync without microphones because they got fed up with it. I feel like Aespa should do that since they are getting fed up and maybe SM would finally let them sing live.
JYP just wanted GOT7's music to sound like what he would release 😮💨 I love that the further GOT7 go into their career, they didn't care much about what the gp wanted and made music for their fans.. They knew what we liked and that is the more RnB inspired music, it just works for them 💚
I agree with the first one, I was a casual listener of TXT in 2019 and the hate they got was so unnecessary. I can't even search the group and the members everywhere without seeing negative comments about them, I got more curious on why they get so many hates so I did search more about them and most of the reasons I saw were invalid or it doesn't make sense. Some people were also spreading fake rumors about them b*lly*ing each other and that their friendship was fake, they got accused of plagiarism when it wasn't even their fault. I'm glad that some ARMYs defended the boys because their fandom was still small at that time and they just debuted, but some (baby) ARMYs were jealous and hated TXT because don't want them to replace BTS so they send hate comments about them. People think TXT had it easy because of the privilege they got but they don't know how hard it is being a trainee and to debut in a big company especially after the biggest band in the world, they were put under so much pressure because they're the first group to debut under BigHit after BTS. Bang PD mentioned that TXT have the burden of meeting expectations they have set, rookies have a chance to grow and shine when they're still rookies but TXT started on a higher level so it was harder to showcase growth. Despite being under BTS' shadow after a long time TXT managed to create their own identity as "TOMORROW X TOGETHER" and not just someone's little brother, they are known for having a great discography and unique concepts. Their fandom has gotten bigger since Blue Hour era and they're doing great so far, they will continue to grow as an artists and become successful in the future!
Opinion 3 definitely was interesting and I think I agree. I also remember reading an article that only 11 3rd gen girlgroups are still active. Tose are Blackpink, Twice, Red velvet, Mamamoo, Laboum, Oh My Girl, WJSN, Dreamcatcher, Weki Meki, Momoland and Hi Cute. I dont know about numbers for boy groups but i feel like its noticebly more
@@xliya6293You can put Blackpink on that list of "disbanded" now. Now they can go off and actually do their own promotions. We don't know what Rose is going to do yet, but Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo have all started their own companies and are actually doing okay right now. I hope that Dreamcatcher never breaks up because they are really perfect together. All 7 of them went through hell and back to get to the level they are on now. It took one failed group that 5 of the 7 were in oriiginally from 2013-2015, and then a disbandment from that company and group, and finally finding their place at Happyface Ent. who were more than happy to take them on. But things went wrong in the early days of Dreamcatcher. Then something happened, two members had a few very viral kisses, and they went viral for that. Then they started having a more broad fanbase come in.
Opinion 16 is soo hella true. Like I have seen people ignoring them, for some people when we talk about 4th gen it's only TXT, STRAY KIDS, ITZY, AESPA, ENHYPEN and now ATEEZ also like what about Treasure? They also exist stop sleeping on them. Also Treasure got famous this year but for a specific Time like when Darari was released and was trending everyone talked about it but now as the Trend as gone people has again forgot a group named TREASURE is also existing. They are not underrated but hella underappreciated. They have one of the best songs in 4th gen!! You guys should really stop sleeping on them
honeslty sm needs to give aespa alot more live stages bc of the way they performed in coachella. they were enjoying performing so much and they were all charismatic. ik alot of ppl say they dont have strong stage presence but tbh if you had to lip sync to the same song for an entire year with barely anything new to it i would be tired of it too. sm even altered some of their encore stages like my girls can sing they have proven it on coachella stage LET THEM SING LIVE
SM needs to start letting all of their artists sing live again, for almost three years now live singing for all SM artitsts as become so rare, basically all of their stages are lipsynched with only a few exceptions. It's like SM is so obsessed with "having the best vocalists" (which they do!) that they're scared to have them sound less than perfect.
@@ShineBright506 it probably has to do with preserving their vocals. Singing their songs with all the high notes and stuff would probably damage their vocals in the long run.
03:40 OnlyOneOf and Holland are making solo songs normalizing homosexual relationships, Moonbyul have a song about a lesbian couple and don't use pronoms in her songs and Dreamcatcher make a song about the envoirament issue. There aren't a lot of kpop idols but the few they made it don't have the recognition
The lip syncing is prominent in all stages now, not just aespa or any specific group. The more intense the choreography is the less chance a group will sing live as it is very difficult to sign steadily and in tune while moving about so much. Its why in musicals etc, the person signing is usually still with others singing around them. A lot of times now the only live singing is done over a backing track so you might actually hear part of them sing but it can be just a sentence or a high note. But I think this has come from music shows as music shows are also autotuning the performances as well. They want the sound to be perfect so they are 'fixing' live vocals. Very rarely do you hear a performance that doesn't sound exactly like the original recording now. I personally like hearing the raw vocals but I understand with the amount of hate a voice crack or a slight off tune note can now cause on social media why artists are performing live less and less. But if I went to their concert I would expect it to be fully live.
I feel like on Opinion #5, it depends really. FOR SURE there has to be songs that cover heavy topics (like racism, homophobia, abuse, etc.) like out of the entire industry like I'm sure there has to be, it's just that they don't get promoted enough, but other then that I agree for sure
opinion 15 has me in shock because im the ultimate music hoarder, my playlist has more than a thousand songs on it that ive all been looping for more than a year and im attached to all of them
opinion 12: I AGREE SO MUCH. i would never go as far as unstanning a group because of a member leaving but it definitely does make my experience with the group worse, especially if the member that left was my bias
honestly (and i might get hate for this) when idols lipsynch, they should get called out for it, singing/rapping while dancing is their JOB. if an office worker never did actual work and only copy pasted work they'd get fired. i get having a backing track for when they need a break but the WHOLE SONG being lipsynched is where i draw the line. it just seems lazy to me, like its what they do for a living and if they cant ACTUALLY do it, they shouldnt be an idol.
i understand that, but some groups just aren’t like allowed to sing live even though we know they can sing live, like aespa and nct, so i just look at it as not caring abt something i can’t control
i agree with opinion 5. there should be more songs speaking out on racism and homophobia. i also agree with your response, even if we wish for kpop groups/soloists to, they won’t listen, ESPECIALLY ON RACISM. the way they keep mocking/being racist to other races and culturally appropriating other cultures, it’s CLEARY OBVIOUS they DO NOT CARE.
Maybe, just maybe south Korean aren't being educated at all in racism. They may not aware they are being one. Also if one want to listen to lyrics on racism and homophobia i think kpop songs is the wrong place to look. Better expect nothing.
Do you guys even know how much pressure would TXT have gone through because they have to so good for your expectations because you guys only treat them as BTS juniors nooo TXT is TXT and BTS is BTS
About the homophobia and racism one. It’s up to them to make music about what they want, it’s not by force to become social justice warriors just because you want them to. Also, people listen to music as an escape for all these things. I know I wouldn’t want to listen to music that’s constantly reminding me of all the things I have to face irl, so what good is it adding it to the music when there’s already a lot of music centered around that? Stop bringing politics into this, it’s just kpop.
no one was saying they have to do that, it was just a suggestion obviously, i just thought it would be nice to see it from a kpop artist, it would reassure me that they care, but im not saying they have to do that
In my opinion, i don't mind lip-syncing. It's not a big deal since we all know aespa's potential, also, they only sing when they do stages/ they meet with MYS so it's kinda cool yk. but the sad part it's that if they don't learn how to sing live usually, i'm scared that their vocals would become bad. SM LIVE VOCALS NOW 👹
A kpop song about racism for u to check out is a kingdom song called color by skz ateez and btob rappers togheter. I might be mistaken but I think hongjoong whrotecmost if not all lyrics but he chose the subject. Its about equality and homophobia and rasism hope u like it
I think TXT is only gp which got most of the unnessary hates from antis. After TXT debuted, the other gps debuted under Hybe got suoport, alot of fans ,positive feedbacks ,appreciated and so on. This made feel bad for TXT.
For number 1.I wasn’t a huge fan of TXT at first and their songs weren’t my style but they gotten really better lately and I’m happy for that. They might not be my #1 favorite group but I’m proud and hope they keep improving. For Got7 I actually really like their new songs and felt like they improved so much, most of the time I only like some of their B songs but not really singles but during the Fly/Home Run era they gotten better and now they are out of JYP and have more freedom I’m totally here for them. Edit: I’m still adding more to my comment. So I love Ateez and stan them for 4th Gen just like Stray kids because to me they are really good and talented. With Treasure they are good and I feel like YG doesn’t care because Ikon was doing well and same with Winner but now they aren’t as popular or promoted. It’s like if they aren’t Big Bang level then YG doesn’t really promote them and that’s sad because YG are very talented as a whole. When CL made songs for 2NE1 it was different and the songs didn’t sound too much like Teddy’s music. Blackpink could be really amazing if they had more freedom because Rose as a soloist was my favorite and lovesick girls is probably the only BP single I actually like because I can relate to it but it also doesn’t sound like every single same song like Teddy is doing. With Ikon & Winner I saw them as big groups similar to Bigbang because Bobby, B.I. (Before he left) & Mino are very talented individuals and of course it makes sense Treasure would be talented as well because boy groups in YG tend to be a bit better but due to less promotions ppl would forget them or not stan them ._. Like YG could still promote Blackpink and a boy group because they did that with 2NE1 and Big Bang before
i think its also a problem for aespa that they get so many long high notes. the lip sync, just keeping their mouths open, doesn't match the power of the vocals, so it stands out more and people talk about it. doesn't help that they maintain a stoic face for their concept and look bored when combined with the lip sync. sm is not doing a great job of selling their talents :/
Everyone has their own taste but I cannot imagine not liking a SINGLE Ateez song since Wonderland..... not bside or TT. CRAZY to me 😳 but to each their own I guess lmao 😬
I do agree with TREASURE one.... They are the most balanced 4th gen boy band, they deserve more... And let them have more like many compares Treasure having more benifit and concern from the company as compare to other yg artist... Look I may agree with the statement this does not give us any right to hate the boys.. You'll literally sleeping on these boys talent... They are the only 4th gen boy group I never get bored of. And stanning them before the Jikjin era is another flex😌... Eagerly waiting for their comeback.. Teume Fighting!! 💙 Can I get pinned please 🗿
About them not making songs about racism or homophobia, that just feels like a weird thing to have a bone to pick with kpop singers . Most music artists aren’t making music about those topics specifically so it just seems a bit weird that kpop artist are held to a standard that doesn’t necessarily make sense. I can only name a very few artist in general that make any music directly about social issues so yeah that’s just not common things people write songs about.
the weki meki one is so true and it's ridiculous bc fantagio does a good job with astro and is even good about giving all the members schedules, not just eunwoo, but like.... astro promotes weki meki more than fantagio does lol but fantagio has a bad history with girl groups (hello venus). and it's not just fantagio, honestly. seems like there's a lot of companies out there that have no idea what to do with girl groups and it's really sad. it could be worse, i guess. weki meki could have zero promotion AND bad songs, but at least they have good music.
In regards to ONEUS, they only had one win before this comeback they're in right now and they've been around for 4 years, so I think thats a pretty spot on opinion.
I think Treasure is very big considering they're a 4th gen boygroup with barely any comebacks. Like I'm personally not a major fan of their discography, but my main issue is the infrequent comebacks. I think people just kinda forget they exist because sometimes it's been like a year since we've heard anything from them. I know this is YG's strategy, but I think 4th gen stans (such as myself) just have shorter attention spans and don't wanna wait around anymore. On top of that I already stan two YG groups (Blackpink and iKON) and it is EXTREMELY tiring having to wait for comebacks constantly, even if they're usually really good and I don't wanna put myself through that with too many groups
Idk about bp or ikon, treasure released 3 tt in 2020, 1 korean comeback and japanese debut in 2021, currently 2 korean comebacks and 1 japanese full album. I think they have standard amount of comebacks?
opinion 14 SLAYED. kpop stans only really care about talent nowadays to such a point where they'll threaten idols and fans for being "untalented". it seems like they either want to make harmless things into problems, or try to justify the fact that they only stan idols for their looks. kpop is a music genre, not a talent show. stop pressuring idols to be perfect.
@@yoshified_ okay link us the oh so called precorded performances then...? there are several comments telling you they have sang live MULTIPLE times and you're still acting obvlivious about it lol just bc you don't hear voice cracks and flat tones doesn't mean is NOT live...
ik they’ve sang live before, im talking abt on music shows, i literally said that in the video, i don’t have to link anything, you can search up any of their music show performances and you’ll hear that they’re ALL pre recorded, and if not, you’re just in denial
I'm so worried the TXT thing will happen with the new KQ group, KQ Fellaz 2. People went off the rails that they even got the same pre-debut naming scheme. Like with BTS, Ateez came from a small company and managed to make it big. It's a testament to their success that their juniors are going to start off with more name recognition but a lot of people are just acting like they're stealing from Ateez by existing. It's ridiculous because obviously Ateez has a lot of fondness toward their juniors and has been supporting them.
there are several comments telling you that AESPA have sang live MULTIPLE times and you're still acting obvlivious about it lol just bc you don't hear voice cracks and flat tones doesn't mean is NOT live... and fuck music shows they literally make idols perform the songs FIVE times to get the perfect shots at like 6 in the morning so of course companies like SM who care abour their idols' vocal health wouldn't let them ruin them doing that shit
how many times are you gonna comment the same exact thing, i saw the previous comment, you didn’t have to comment it again, and i’m not saying their voices have to be cracking left and right, obviously, but it’s just so obvious that’s it’s pre recorded, they’re jumping, they’re doing the black mamba killing point, like you should be able to hear some type of movement when they do those moves, and you don’t, it’s just flat, how do you hear that and think, yeah that’s live, like what, music shows is the main way for kpop companies to promote their groups so wym fuck music shows, if sm actually cared abt their fucking idols, never mind their vocal health, they wouldn’t let all these people drag them for not singing live, they would let them sing live, ofc they don’t have to sing live in every single stage, but them not singing live at all during the promotions of their albums is not okay, like what did they train for? to only sing live at events like coachella etc… which aren’t an everyday thing

I agree on 5th. Kpop industry is not deep at all and sometimes I wish it has more sense, especially in the lyrics. Most of the times music being released not as art, not as a way to tell a message to an audience, but just to earn money.
as an atiny the opinion about ateez not having a good song after wonderland triggered me lmao💀💀 I get that some ppl have specific music tastes, but ateez has at least one or two songs that everyone can enjoy and listen to. And I’m not being biased saying this bc I’m a fan. I just feel like you have to give their songs a chance, same goes for any other artist.
Whoever said the one about groups not needing to be outstanding in any particular department is SPOT ON. Sometimes the beat's arrangement and composition is just bad or not at all fitting for the song and that's what really kills my enjoyment of a song is if the performer slaps but the beat just... Isn't there.
I feel that the "fake visual" opinion might be refering to idols going under plastic surgery??? Maybe, but I don't want to assume that because are we really pretending that plastic surgery on kpop started with the gen 3?💀
With 3 I think it also has to do with the music, when most 4th gen boy groups debuted they had the same loud "noisy" songs (not in a bad way, I use that to describe songs that have a lot going on) and had very similar MVs too and because of that I feel like lots of people don't give them a chance (plenty of groups that debuted with that sound have other songs with different concepts or have changed) 4th gen girl groups had more variety and, internationally, girl groups have always been more popular.
You CLEARLY haven't seen any of aespa stages in japan so yeh...no comment. No comment for the ive ones either since people are going to hate me for that but they have constantly been appearing on vietnamese kpop confession pages for bad vocals while singing live :(
Idk how to feel about the 3rd one, I mean I don't get how some (bc not even all) 3rd gen groups still being popular makes 4th gen ones not be as prominent. I see the top 4th gen groups perfectly fine and growing each time, some of them are even able to win over senior groups in some aspects. The only thing 4th gen bg's lack (a kinda concerning one tbh) is domestic popularity, and after that maybe TH-cam views (except Skz and Treasure, they are fine). But this is also linked to the fact that they get no hits, so no views from casual listeners (and as we know, kpop fans usually only listen to what's popular in the charts, so if bgs are not popular in kcharts = stans will think their music is bad = they don't check it out)
the reason aespa gets so much hate for lipsyncing is because at this point SM artists have a reputation for it, or so i’ve heard. there are of course many performances from SM that ARE live, but like u said, music show stages aren’t most of the time . i dont think it’s aespa’s fault at all i guess it’s just disappointing to some fans
Opinion #5 we have a lot of songs with lyrics for important things, but the people only heard the songs for the big4 company groups, so any want yo hear the small groups
People come for aespa because SM is known for having good vocalist but we don’t hear them sing live a lot. If I have to search for live singing, they’re not singing live enough…. Not to mention they make it so obvious when they’re lip syncing . The facial expressions don’t match the song. Then you have those people who can’t tell live singing from lipsyncing ; can’t stand all the comments saying they’re live singing when they are obviously not.
i am gonna disagree with you ,ever since coachella they have been singing live and who cares about music shows lol ,most idols are lip syncing there and only have one or two live stages. Aespa have sang live during coachella ,during their L.A showcases and in general their american promos ,including GMA AND jimmy kimmel. they have sang live for their korean fanmeeting ,they have sang live for their smtown concerts ,they have sang live for their japanese showcases . if it was last year i would agree with you but they have sang live many times this year. The only songs they havent sing live yet is girls and illusion ,prob they will sing next year .
the lipsyncing one - most of kpop groups lipsync, Blackpink does more often than singing live and there is nothing bad about it tho i personally would prefer if lipsyncing wasnt a thing in music industry as it makes the appeal more fake and takes all the joy from listening to the vocals - and again, its my opinion
about unstanning a group if a member leaves i’ll give you a good reason why you might wanna stick around… unless it’s because of a scandal or unreconcilable conflict the member(s) might rejoin the group, sunmi rejoined wonder girls and jiyoung and nicole are rejoining kara for their november comeback but i totally agree it does make the experience worse but not enough for me to unstan the group unless i gradually start losing interest
The only reason JIKJIN and Darari blowed up was not because they were on a hiatus??? Those songs are absolute bops that's why they got attention. Now that Treasure is getting another comeback I hope YGE does a better job at promoting the boys.
@@yoshified_ idk as a Teume there's wasn't much hype before the JIKJIN cb. Only now treasure is getting a lil more attention. YGE literally does so less promotion for treasure.
Honestly, I understand unstanning a group if they just don’t feel the same and it makes you sad. This is especially true for groups that have have the same members for at more than 4 years. By that time, the groups identity is set and the dynamics of the team are never the same after. I don’t automatically instantly a group but sometimes it’s hard to stay engaged when the lack of one member makes you sad or there’s an obvious hole in the team. I didn’t even Stan monsta x , I found myself less interested since wonho left the group. So sad. The only exception is if the member leaves within the 1st year of debuting( before the group identity is cemented) aka apink, lesserafim etc…

I’m not even a fan of them and I feel bad for them

i’m not saying that other hybe artists got it easy for debuting after txt, but man on man the hate train for txt during 2019 was a whole different level. got to the point where they got mad about the fact that apparently txt was ‘too perfect’ and every hate tweet about them had over thousands of likes when they literally just debuted and was still 16-18 years of age.
I'm just so proud of them, like being a group that never gets any win, to now, a group that gets a lot of wins!

about the lyrics talking about homophobia and racism… it’d be great if there were any (there’s very few, for example jhope’s equal sign talks about it) but the thing about such an important issues is that they are very sensitive topics in korea and they would get too much of a backlash, so company’s will never agree to it. even when explaining the songs meanings, artists often talk about them very generally because they know they can’t get into details without getting in trouble with public.
this. the only kpop song i know that touches on homophobia a bit is song jieun's "don't look at me like that", and as stunning and emotional as it is, it's also relatively unknown
i agree,, i know almost nothing about korean society but from the fact that virtually no company has allowed artists to put out songs like this its pretty obvious that most koreans are likely not very receptive about these issues.. until the society changes kpop will never expand into these topics
there are covers of some songs directed at lgbtq but I don't know of any written as kpop songs
@@Ribaiisu there are lgbtq songs but the lyrics are a little subtle (ex: oh my god gidle, Heart Attack loona, Shutdown moonbyul)
For #5, Mayfly's rap unit's(Ateez's Hongjoong, BTOB's Minhyuk and Stray Kids' 3RACHA) song was about racism and that we're all equal no matter what colour we are.
thats awesome!
Honestly, it would probably take all the major groups out there agreeing to write a "serious subject" track on that topic, and releasing them on their new comebacks all together.
How silly. Lol
So, just for fun.

The fact that ATEEZ hasn't released a bad song yet says a lot about how KQ is creating their music. I'm personally super excited for KQ Fellaz 2.
Another thing is that Kpop boy groups have longetivity. Most girlgroup's success are from general public while boygroups have more dedicated fans or both like bts. Considering what i have seen so far, aespa really do be having more stable singing as a group than IVE considering how aespa songs are more based on vocals filled with high or sometimes lower notes.

Actually I agree with the opinions+ aespa or any other grp should not get hate for lip syncing cuz performing while singing is hard and sometimes lip syncing is the best way to give fans a great performance. But SM do need to get over making them sound PERFECT in every stage.
that's what im saying, i love aespa and i would love to hear their vocals live at least some of the time they perform
@@sherbear6625 they been singing live more than any other groups. 😂
JYP just wanted GOT7's music to sound like what he would release 😮💨
I love that the further GOT7 go into their career, they didn't care much about what the gp wanted and made music for their fans.. They knew what we liked and that is the more RnB inspired music, it just works for them 💚
EXACTLY
I dont know about numbers for boy groups but i feel like its noticebly more
laboum haven't disbanded!!
@@candyhyojung1860 oh thank you for the info. I remember reading something like it but apparently it was a rumor or fake news. Again, thank you!
You guys should really stop sleeping on them
2:20 The only girl group of 3rd gen that I can think of that isn't in any big3 is Mamamoo but I can see they are losing popularity
honeslty sm needs to give aespa alot more live stages bc of the way they performed in coachella. they were enjoying performing so much and they were all charismatic. ik alot of ppl say they dont have strong stage presence but tbh if you had to lip sync to the same song for an entire year with barely anything new to it i would be tired of it too. sm even altered some of their encore stages like my girls can sing they have proven it on coachella stage LET THEM SING LIVE
they only sing live at paid events lol
@@axcc0267 do u know why?
SM needs to start letting all of their artists sing live again, for almost three years now live singing for all SM artitsts as become so rare, basically all of their stages are lipsynched with only a few exceptions. It's like SM is so obsessed with "having the best vocalists" (which they do!) that they're scared to have them sound less than perfect.
@@ShineBright506 it probably has to do with preserving their vocals. Singing their songs with all the high notes and stuff would probably damage their vocals in the long run.
Stan Treasure and stream Same scent 👹
This is the kind of statements I like.
Stan TREASURE and ONEUS♡.
@@rainboworldstan yessss hi tomoon!
@Choerry's Lab (today is my bday) OYY CHOERRY!
I asked myself today how I can still jam to MANIAC everytime without getting tired of it lol 😆 I dunno just some songs just never get old for me.
I'd love a part 2, this was fun 👍🏼
FOR SURE there has to be songs that cover heavy topics (like racism, homophobia, abuse, etc.) like out of the entire industry like I'm sure there has to be, it's just that they don't get promoted enough, but other then that I agree for sure
the only webtoon i liked out of the 3 is dark moon but the other two ( star seekers and 7 fate) was seriously not it.
opinion 15 has me in shock because im the ultimate music hoarder, my playlist has more than a thousand songs on it that ive all been looping for more than a year and im attached to all of them
opinion 12: I AGREE SO MUCH. i would never go as far as unstanning a group because of a member leaving but it definitely does make my experience with the group worse, especially if the member that left was my bias
honestly (and i might get hate for this) when idols lipsynch, they should get called out for it, singing/rapping while dancing is their JOB. if an office worker never did actual work and only copy pasted work they'd get fired. i get having a backing track for when they need a break but the WHOLE SONG being lipsynched is where i draw the line. it just seems lazy to me, like its what they do for a living and if they cant ACTUALLY do it, they shouldnt be an idol.
i understand that, but some groups just aren’t like allowed to sing live even though we know they can sing live, like aespa and nct, so i just look at it as not caring abt something i can’t control
@@yoshified_ i get that but its just not something i can personally ignore, its one of the main reasons i dont watch live performances.
i agree with opinion 5. there should be more songs speaking out on racism and homophobia. i also agree with your response, even if we wish for kpop groups/soloists to, they won’t listen, ESPECIALLY ON RACISM. the way they keep mocking/being racist to other races and culturally appropriating other cultures, it’s CLEARY OBVIOUS they DO NOT CARE.
ikr
Stop bringing politics into this, it’s just kpop.
no one was saying they have to do that, it was just a suggestion obviously, i just thought it would be nice to see it from a kpop artist, it would reassure me that they care, but im not saying they have to do that
Hard agree for opinion 2, Weki Meki is sorely underrated and I definitely think their management and promotions are a huge reason why
Its about equality and homophobia and rasism hope u like it
PURRR I SLIPPED MY WAY INTO YOSHIFIED'S VIDEO LETS GOOO
I think TXT is only gp which got most of the unnessary hates from antis. After TXT debuted, the other gps debuted under Hybe got suoport, alot of fans ,positive feedbacks ,appreciated and so on. This made feel bad for TXT.
TREASURE comback on the 4. October 💎😭
Now I definitely need a part 2 and 3 hehehehe
Onlyoneof KB's Be free music in the background- 🥺
Can I get pinned please 🗿
Period I love treasure
About them not making songs about racism or homophobia, that just feels like a weird thing to have a bone to pick with kpop singers . Most music artists aren’t making music about those topics specifically so it just seems a bit weird that kpop artist are held to a standard that doesn’t necessarily make sense. I can only name a very few artist in general that make any music directly about social issues so yeah that’s just not common things people write songs about.
it wasn’t really a “bone to pick” it was more like a suggestion, no one’s saying they have to do it
Opinion 14: i'll name them. Good song but not that amazing in singing/dancing/rapping: Ive, New Jeans. The opposite: Nmixx
right like the talent does not matter at all if it's wasted on ugly songs!!
the weki meki one is so true and it's ridiculous bc fantagio does a good job with astro and is even good about giving all the members schedules, not just eunwoo, but like.... astro promotes weki meki more than fantagio does lol but fantagio has a bad history with girl groups (hello venus). and it's not just fantagio, honestly. seems like there's a lot of companies out there that have no idea what to do with girl groups and it's really sad. it could be worse, i guess. weki meki could have zero promotion AND bad songs, but at least they have good music.
we would love to see part 2 and 3 :D
In regards to ONEUS, they only had one win before this comeback they're in right now and they've been around for 4 years, so I think thats a pretty spot on opinion.
yes I would like to see a part 2/3 and the lip syncing one was so correct-
the ateez opinion that person came up w was so bad
I think they have standard amount of comebacks?
opinion 14 SLAYED. kpop stans only really care about talent nowadays to such a point where they'll threaten idols and fans for being "untalented". it seems like they either want to make harmless things into problems, or try to justify the fact that they only stan idols for their looks. kpop is a music genre, not a talent show. stop pressuring idols to be perfect.
thats the diffrence with kpop and normal music...its sucks
Aespa have sang live multiple times during shows in all eras consistently do ar removals not exist anymore????
definitely pre recorded vocals
@@yoshified_ okay link us the oh so called precorded performances then...? there are several comments telling you they have sang live MULTIPLE times and you're still acting obvlivious about it lol just bc you don't hear voice cracks and flat tones doesn't mean is NOT live...
ik they’ve sang live before, im talking abt on music shows, i literally said that in the video, i don’t have to link anything, you can search up any of their music show performances and you’ll hear that they’re ALL pre recorded, and if not, you’re just in denial
opinion #5 was so true. the groups that ACTUALLY care abt societal issues either do it for clout or are actually serious but dont get attention.
It's ridiculous because obviously Ateez has a lot of fondness toward their juniors and has been supporting them.
i’m fine with lip syncing as long as you somewhat cover it up and at least have good stage presence but aespa deada$$ looks like robots 😭
idk abt this one lmao
@@yoshified_ i mean like twice for example, yeah they lip sync a lot but they have the stage presence to back it up
Yep, glad Oneus is getting more popular these days. :D
opinion 3 blew my mind
there are several comments telling you that AESPA have sang live MULTIPLE times and you're still acting obvlivious about it lol just bc you don't hear voice cracks and flat tones doesn't mean is NOT live... and fuck music shows they literally make idols perform the songs FIVE times to get the perfect shots at like 6 in the morning so of course companies like SM who care abour their idols' vocal health wouldn't let them ruin them doing that shit
how many times are you gonna comment the same exact thing, i saw the previous comment, you didn’t have to comment it again, and i’m not saying their voices have to be cracking left and right, obviously, but it’s just so obvious that’s it’s pre recorded, they’re jumping, they’re doing the black mamba killing point, like you should be able to hear some type of movement when they do those moves, and you don’t, it’s just flat, how do you hear that and think, yeah that’s live, like what, music shows is the main way for kpop companies to promote their groups so wym fuck music shows, if sm actually cared abt their fucking idols, never mind their vocal health, they wouldn’t let all these people drag them for not singing live, they would let them sing live, ofc they don’t have to sing live in every single stage, but them not singing live at all during the promotions of their albums is not okay, like what did they train for? to only sing live at events like coachella etc… which aren’t an everyday thing
INCEPTION AND ANSWER R MY ALL TIME FAV 4TH GEN SONGS ICB SOMEONE SAID THEY NEVER RELEASED A GOOD SONG AFTER WONDERLAND?!?!?!?!?!! LMFAO THEY NEED TO BE SERIOUS😭😭imo Wonderland wasn't that good but idc abt anything as long as I have Inception n Answer in my lyf lol
Isn't there.
honestly i am the person that can loop the same song all day actually the whole week if i really like it i get bored of it after doing that though
About the 3rd gen girl vs boy grouped is crazy u got me thinking
omg part 2 i love these
I feel that the "fake visual" opinion might be refering to idols going under plastic surgery??? Maybe, but I don't want to assume that because are we really pretending that plastic surgery on kpop started with the gen 3?💀
With 3 I think it also has to do with the music, when most 4th gen boy groups debuted they had the same loud "noisy" songs (not in a bad way, I use that to describe songs that have a lot going on) and had very similar MVs too and because of that I feel like lots of people don't give them a chance (plenty of groups that debuted with that sound have other songs with different concepts or have changed)
4th gen girl groups had more variety and, internationally, girl groups have always been more popular.
But this is also linked to the fact that they get no hits, so no views from casual listeners (and as we know, kpop fans usually only listen to what's popular in the charts, so if bgs are not popular in kcharts = stans will think their music is bad = they don't check it out)
Part 2 and 3 would be amazing :)
the reason aespa gets so much hate for lipsyncing is because at this point SM artists have a reputation for it, or so i’ve heard. there are of course many performances from SM that ARE live, but like u said, music show stages aren’t most of the time . i dont think it’s aespa’s fault at all i guess it’s just disappointing to some fans
The only songs they havent sing live yet is girls and illusion ,prob they will sing next year .
the lipsyncing one - most of kpop groups lipsync, Blackpink does more often than singing live and there is nothing bad about it tho i personally would prefer if lipsyncing wasnt a thing in music industry as it makes the appeal more fake and takes all the joy from listening to the vocals - and again, its my opinion
about unstanning a group if a member leaves i’ll give you a good reason why you might wanna stick around… unless it’s because of a scandal or unreconcilable conflict the member(s) might rejoin the group, sunmi rejoined wonder girls and jiyoung and nicole are rejoining kara for their november comeback but i totally agree it does make the experience worse but not enough for me to unstan the group unless i gradually start losing interest
ateez have literally a no skip discography...
Aww dang it. Not one of my 3 were in this video😪
lol i liked the video and i hope you make more parts of it. keep it up!
The only reason JIKJIN and Darari blowed up was not because they were on a hiatus??? Those songs are absolute bops that's why they got attention. Now that Treasure is getting another comeback I hope YGE does a better job at promoting the boys.
well obviously, but them coming back from a hiatus definitely had something to do with the hype
@@yoshified_ idk as a Teume there's wasn't much hype before the JIKJIN cb. Only now treasure is getting a lil more attention. YGE literally does so less promotion for treasure.
Yeah the hypocrisy over aespa is so ridiculous
exactly
For 3 There is dreamcatcher and mamamoo but yes, it's good opinion
(And go listen to cyberpunk!!)
