There is something with some movies from the late 80s-early 90s that makes you just wanna watch them over and over again. Nowadays hardly any movies can reach that status
I feel that way. They give me a warm kind of feeling. I wish I could forget everything about Home Alone 1 and 2 and watch them. I’m jealous of those who haven’t watched these two movies yet. It’s still good when you watch it again but it’s a different feeling when you watch it for the first time.
I like Home Alone. Especially the church scene. It’s so peaceful, relaxing, and in a way, shows what Christmas is really all about. The beautiful music helps, too.

Now as I am older, I appreciate what Home Alone brought to us, and I now know it is superior to Home Alone 2. Has a much more Christmasy feeling to it, too. The church scene and the scene prior when "Somewhere in my Memory" starts playing being my favorite scene in the whole movie.

I love how at the end Kevin gives the homeless woman who saved his life a plastic turtle dove and then went back to the warm, posh plaza hotel and ordered room service. She went dumpster diving for her Christmas dinner.
Another fun fact, a creepy Easter egg in the movie is Mr. Hector. It starts when Kevin gets a clown to play with in the pool. This is a scary Easter eggs because Mr. Hector was played by Tim Curry and Tim Curry played Pennywise the clown in the original IT movie. Which came a few years prior to filming Home Alone 2
in the scene when Marv gets shot in the nose from the staple was played in reverse if you look close in the movie there is a thin black string on the staple
The reason he recognises his name on the back of his back pack is because of the first one. When he pretended to be an officer her knew the family name
Love both of them love this time of the year because I was just a young boy when these came out now having children of my own I watch it with them we watch all the Christmas movies but home alone and home alone 2 is by far my favourite movies
