As you have been told, BABYMETAL approached Bloodywood, but they had already written the song with BABYMETAL in mind (both bands are fans of the other).
    - The anime was made by an Indian animation company for the MV - credits are in the description.
    - BABYMETAL have not done any songs for anime (you must have been told this in the past, it is always said whenever anybody says anything they do "sounds like an anime opening").
    - All 3 BABYMETAL girls are involved - the 'robotic' section of female vocals during the second minute was Moa and Momo.
    - Bloodywood sing in Hindi, rap in English. BABYMETAL sing in Japanese and Su sings her last few lines in Hindi.
    - The Indian instrument is a santoor, the strings are struck with wooden mallets (think of it like an Indian dulcimer perhaps).
Karan from Bloodywood has posted a video explaining the songwriting and production processes.

    • Babymetal reached out to Bloodywood for this collaboration.
    • According to Karan, there are 5 vocalists in this production. So, two of the girls?
    • The crossover interest on this track has been amazing! Many people have been introduced to one of the bands through the other.
    • There are three languages spoken in this video: Raoul raps in English, Jayant sings/growls in Hindi and SuMetal primarily sings in Japanese. She also sings a couple of lines in Hindi!
    • The video shows the guys struggling to defeat a bad guy and the girls come in to help. They team up to overcome their struggles throughout the video, combining and merging forces to defeat the Big Boss at the end.

    • The blegh at the end is a bit of a running inside joke amongst more hardcore Bloodywood fans.

Really nice to see yall come back to The Fox Hole as we say. When it comes to the reasons for a lot of these collabs, I think it would be best to think of them first as artistic and cultural innovations, commercialisation second. So this collab most likely came together with the intent of platforming both contemporary Japanese and Indian artists and cultures in an industry where we normally don’t see these things. The decision to make this an anime music video could have come about for a variety of creative and practical purposes. On the one hand, this was probably put together while Babymetal were on tour, so doing an animation was practical. On the other, it’s an Indian themed anime, which is something new and Babymetal are all about doing new things.
Lastly, just to eliminate confusion as to who Babymetal is in relation to these types of collabs; it’s officially just the 3 members and their team of writers, mainly Kobametal, their executive producer who is a die hard metalhead. I know coming from a traditional metal background, this may raise some eyebrows; but keeping in mind that Babymetal are a product of a different culture, they have their own unique artistic craft and story worthy of standing on it’s own merits. They certainly have an over arching “feeling” that ties their music together. It’s definitely a passion project turned into an empire.

Babymetal was kind of meant to be a gateway band to metal and introducing the many different sub-genres to the listeners.
If you look at the history of Babymetal, you'll see in many of the songs of the first 2 albums, they had songs inspired by other metal bands (often mainstays of a metal sub-genre).
The third album 1/3 of the songs was collabs. The first album had lesser known special versions of certain songs, at least 2. The first song released after the first album was also a collab, the guitar parts of Road of Resistance were created by the guitarists of Dragonforce, the second album as mentioned very much inspired, but not had any features.
The forth album had no collabs again, based on what they've done since, I wouldn't be surprised if the fifth album will be a lot of collabs again.
I can tell you, for Bloodywood it's much more than doubling of the audience, pretty much everyone who knows Bloodywood already know Babymetal, at least heard of them and their fan base is much bigger. The collab with Electric Callboy had a much bigger hit and you can see it in the views and streaming listens. Even though for many the Bloodywood collab is considered a better song ? I don't know, but if I had to speculate hard: Babymetal might be trying to reach people in India currently not into metal. Because metal as a genre is really small India.
Babymetal for some reason, probably because they want to stand on their own power, have never done an anime song. Unless you count the opening song of Unikitty.
The Bloodywood guys just really certain anime. The anime studio is actually from India. The MV is clearly hinting it's all about combining Indian and Japaneses cultures.
I think I've seen a fan edited video by a Babymetal fan ones who combined one of the members playing on a recorded (from something else not Babymetal related) with metal music.

Bloodywood reached out to BabyMetal, and you can hear other BabyMetal members, but i suppose only a fan can recognise their vocals .
Not done for anime . anime was done for mv . BabyMetal has never done any anime songs . It's definitely a benefit for a band to have a collaboration or feature with BabyMetal guaranteed millions of views usually within a day .
BabyMetal over 3 million subscribers on TH-cam, believe the 6th highest metal genre band on TH-cam and even the bottom 10 BabyMetal listened to songs on Spotify are in the millions ( highest 200 million) 👍 .
It's funny how anime is always mentioned with BabyMetal, and they have done none ( apart from opening of Hello Kitty )
Band Maid anime hardly mentioned, and they have done anime 😁 really good review of this song ( not reaction 😂)

So who had Samurai Ganesha on their bingo card for 2024? I loved the Harry Potter, DBZ, and Batman references... and that suspiciously looks like a Naruto run..The success of the recent collabs with Babymetal is that they are based on the poppy clean vocals of Su with more heavier gutteral of whatever male singers they are working with.... Whether its Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, F. Hero, Electric Callboy, or Bloodywood, and its a great mix taking advantage of the strengths of both singers....I can't wait to see this live on stage with both Bloodywood and Babymetal...😅😅😅 At this point I want a Babymetal anime and an action rpg with this song in a boss battle.....😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘

Its also worth noting thst Su-Metal just reached another miledtone. Being selected as 2024 Female metal vocalist by metalawards. Securing over 100,000 votes and almost 40% of the global poll.
That is a huge accomplishment but considering how much they have been on the move this year. Someone was bound to notice that eventually.
They still haven't come off their last tour yet. All the way back from Jan 2024. As when do they sleep or are they just beasts. Devouring victims along the way to regain their full strength.
I think that might be a possibility. Anyways what a great breakdown as shows what a f*** masterpiece this really is. If one thing you can say about Babymetal here.
They respect every artist they work with. Having full artistic collaborative control and working off of that. No wonder everyone wants to work with them. There is no ego in this band here.
This is just metal gold and the result is pure genius. BloodyWood had even said it wanted to wait until they found the perfect partner to do their first collaboration project. The results speak for themselves here!! Babymetal are absolutely legit at this stage. 🤘🦊🔥

When it comes to the reasons for the collabs, neither Babymetal nor the other acts really needed to do them; all of the acts were doing fine on their ownanyway. They do it mainly because it's cool and interesting, and it seems to be working; the financial aspect is more of a bonus. I'm sure if Babymetal starts getting tired of being labelled a collab act or something similar, they will do something different for a while like they did with the Kawaii label, but I can't see them stopping them for good now. Also, there are 3 types of colabs, with different levels of contribution in all of them. Only Ratatata is a true 50/50 collab. 'Brand New Day' is primarily a Babymetal song with Polyphia on it, and 'Eternal Flames' is Basically a Tak Matsumoto Group song with Su on it. I still think a Metallica collab will happen one day when Babymetal are deemed to have earned the right, the timing is important.
BTW, are you ever going to react to heavier Babymetal songs like Babymetal Death, Rondo of Nightmare or Sis Anger? you only seem to react to newer single releases.

If you watch the interviews Rocksound did at Download festival the one question they asked all the bands who would you like to collab or tour with most said Babymetal! Polyphia have already written another song for them. When you think Babymetal took BMTH opening for them in Japan and now look how big they are!

I understand going blind on new music, but that doesn't mean that should not do basic googling, or look at the description of a video to answer your own questions as you go.
The first comment/reaction is "I don't know if this is part of a larger anime serie... ". All the credits are in the description.
The lack of knowledge doesn't really excuse clueless comments, when the information is easy to get to.
Sorry for the pissed off comment. Likely your format doesn't work for me.
Starting analysis after 1 minute of video, without having been through it first, is really strange.
Usually artists assume their works are looked at as a whole, specially for something which is less than 4 minutes long.

    • @adkrockandmetal
      @adkrockandmetal  หลายเดือนก่อน

@@LucBourlier in that case we could do a full analysis but wouldn't play the video at all. We used to watch the video and then give our analysis at the end but then what happened was we jumping all over the song and people didn't like that. We felt by doing a minute as you go you get the musical journey thay we experienced whilst going through the song and we sometimes answer our own questions by the end of the breakdown. It's more a breakdown of a listeners journey than a technical analysis.
