I've seen Julia Roberts in person. I was an extra in the movie "Duplicity," starring Roberts and Clive Owen. I was standing fifteen feet away from Roberts at one point (inside Lord & Taylor in NYC), while the asst. director of the movie complimented me for being one of the three best extras on set (out of hundreds). I am 6' 6" tall, and Roberts is maybe between 5' 7" and 5' 8". And she smiled at me while I received the compliment.
Among the tallest actresses, Uma Thurman dont seem like wearing massive heels because she knows she's really tall at 5'11.5. But I noticed that those actresses in 5'10 range like Nicole Kidman, Liv Tyler, Tilda Swinton etc., always want to look taller than everybody.
Some women just enjoy wearing high heels it makes dresses look more elegant. I remember an interview of her after she divorced Tom Cruise she said she was happy to be able to wear high heels again .
Joking no doubt. Nicole Kidman didn't exactly spend the 1990s slouching barefoot in a ditch when posing for pics with Cruise. She wore heels and stood erect.
I want to be tall! 😭 but I'm 5'3". At work there was a woman who was 6'5" and by her body language anyone could tell she was insecure. I always wished I had her height.

What confuses me, is how so many times says: ”They are very tall, but also very attractive”, or ”even though she’s very tall, she is considered very beautiful!” It’s like she suggests that being tall is not a good thing for a woman. And 70 or 60 years ago it propably wasn’t, but the world changes!

It would be fine but because Hollywood likes for the actors to not have huge height differences a shorter actress would’ve have stood on a box or something (they make it work really well, such as if a male actor is shorter then a female actors and for the film they ont want it to be evident). It would be perfectly fine for a short person to be his counter but I guess what the person in the vid is saying is that hey don’t need to do anything with Nicole’s height. The video creator just poorly worded it

This video makes more sense than your "short actresses" video. 5'10" is certainly taller than average for women. Of course it's often hard to tell how big someone is without a good frame of reference, and Hollywood is all about creating illusions, so how tall someone looks in a movie or TV show isn't necessarily a good way to judge.
Omg, how could you possibly overlook Catriona Balfe, who is the lead, Claire Fraser, in the Outlander series. She's so beautiful and popular, and she's 5' 10".
What about Tilda Swinton? At 1,79m + Oscar / BAFA winning for best actress in 2nd role 2008... She sure has here place here!

For every beautyfull person out there that's watching this video bc they felt bad about their height: you're perfect as you are. I'm a 13 year old person that's 5'10 and was/is pretty insecure about my height. But than i was placed in a class with a confident, beautifull girl that was a Lot taller than me. She became a rollmodel for me. Someone i respected for just living her life without thinking about fitting in. ❤️Sending you love and remember, you are an incredible person. Many sources all over the place say Charlize is actually 5'9 to 5'9 1/2 so they probably thought she just barely missed the cut, since they started off with 5'10 actress only! If they would have did a TOP 20, she probably more than likely had been #19!
I remember getting an old (now) magazine with her on the cover because she wearing an amazing dress. Read the article inside and it said she was 5'10", which is my height, (I think, may need to measure again). I think it was around the time that Monster came out. I went to see it by myself to see if she gained weight the same way I did. She did. In the article it also listed her weight at 135 lbs, which is what I weighed too. But I'm not blonde. And since when is 5'10" "astoundingly tall"??

I'm 6'0", my dad is 6"4", mother 5'10" and we are from the Netherlands and yes there are a lot of tall Dutch men and women. Of course, there are shorter people but on the whole the Dutch are tall.

Many of the ladies in my family are tall. Im 5'7". My mama was 5'8" and one of her sisters is 5'10". My youngest daughter is 5'11". The men in my family are no slouch either.
