I'm so glad that you said the comment about people who grunt or make straining noises while screwing in screws or tightening bolts!!! My dad did that!! I used to help him, as he was a Jack of all trades, I learned many valuable skills that I still employ. But one of the things that I remember were those noises!! I never thought much about it, but your mentioning of it made me laugh!!! Thanks for the memories!!
I have old Hampton Bay ceiling fan and I see your’s moves a lot like mine! How much should it move back and forth in anyone’s advice? I have one in a bedroom that doesn’t move much at all and they are all the same size and brand. Thanks!
omg the dreaded ceiling fan wobble... I know it well... i like how your screwdriver has a light on it... pretty slick... you made me laugh talking about the "grunters" when they lift something or do something with sound effects.... good job on the fan fix.... so more thumping disco beat when the fan is running..... LOL
Now we can’t sleep at night. It’s too quiet haha 😂😂😂 just kidding. It’s hard for me not to laugh at one guy that works for me. He is a true grunter. 😂😂. I always enjoy your comments. You make me laugh
I have squeaks and wobbles. Thanks for half the solution to one fan and probably all the solution to all the other fans. Lol Got a squeak suggestion? Well, some misalignments cause the squeak I'm sure...😏
Hold the light and move the fan while it’s running and see if the squeak stops in any certain position. It might need some lube where the ball joint sits into the cradle at the wiring box. 👍😁
You had me cringing when you used a screwdriver up by electricity. I know that you know what your doing but I do the same thing when my son does something. I need a whole new fixture. This is so old and I really would love to have a new one. Right now I don't know when I will see my son to ask him if I buy one when he will have time to install it. I couldn't tell too much but how is the hair going? I have two sons that could use that stuff. One who had tons of hair is starting at the back. The other well lets just say he really needs something. It doesn't seem to bother them though. If it were my older son he would be trying things every day. He has beautiful hair. Have a great day, I enjoyed your video, as always. ♥ Shirl
If you lived near me, I’d install a fan for ya. My hair is still growing. Thanks for asking. I will be making a update vid soon. 😁👍 I always enjoy your comments 😁👍
Great video thanks brother. Great how to video. Looks like it might be a little loose at the box mount. Glad you got it working right. The fun of being a home owner you get to be a all around handy man. Keep up the great work see you in the next video thanks again brother
I thought the same thing about it being loose in the box. I checked that. It was tight. That blade got the heck knocked out of it 😂 I can’t believe they tried to balance it with weights. 😂😁👍
Man I’m glad this video helped ya. It’s way cheaper than buying a new fan. 😁👍 thank you for the feedback and as always thanks for watching. If you like funny videos. We just did the death nut challenge 2.0. It’s a sequel to the first one. Have a great Sunday afternoon
you dont explain why new brackets work when the old ones were just fine. Why change out the brackets - cant you just tighten the blade bracket that got bumped? this is a good 'how to change hardware video' - doesnt explain why it takes out the wobble. how did the two blades get so far apart if things didnt get broken? detail oriented person needs more details before spending money...
One of the brackets was bent. When I showed the blades so far apart. It was because of a bent bracket. It’s caused by many things as described in the video. But the most common is probably a broom handle. Or when someone tries to stop the fan with their hand.

@@VansWorld ... happy to spend time at your channel!! Im happy to be TH-cam friends!!!
Me too. I’ve met some great people as a TH-cam creator. Your on top of the list 👍😁
Are some ceiling fans supposed to have that much play when you move them? Mine in the kitchen does. Thanks for the advice!

@@VansWorld to anyone following along, be sure to use an old incandescent bulb, wait for it to warm up, and then try this. 😏🤣
😂😂😂
I have problem with my 2 new chandelier with the Van I buy
Wait what happened to the other brackets in the other shades
Great video pal!

Hi
My favorite handy man
Donna, you so sweet. Lol.
Watched your video after months of listening to that loud clunking sound, $16 later and silence. Thank you!

😁
you can get rid of the rest of the wobble by tightening the ceiling bracket
Thanks for the great tip. 👍😁
Thank you!
It's a Harbor Breeze Cheshire. Not a Hampton Bay Landmark!
I think you missed the point. I fixed the fan 👍😁
@@VansWorld yeah but those blade brackets aren't original to a cheshire
@@thechannelofrandomvideos789 he had to change them as one of them were broken
i have the same fan but i replaced it to a hunter fan because my cat jumped on the blade and made the bracket loose so it fell
It’s very weird to see a Cheshire with those blade brackets, us fan collectors call ceiling fans with different parts, “Franken-Fans”
I have that same ceiling fan but it has the original blade irons and I would have bent the blade back into shape and if it broke oh well
Good thing you replaced it went 🧨 on ya! 😂
lol no doubt lol
'52' Harbor Breeze Cheshire ( in white Finish)
Something oddly satisfying about seeing a Cheshire without those ugly circular brackets :)
I like the circular blade irons of Cheshire because that’s my favorite part of them
ew haha. I don't like the fans in general. Let's face it, I don't like Harbor Breeze in general.
It’s not mine so I don’t care
That is a 52 inch harbor breeze Cheshire 1 not chaire because someone spelled it wrong
😁👍 thank you for the correction. And thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Have a great week 😁👍
@@VansWorld u too!
I have that fan but I got a new one
I collect ceiling fans and I can fix this
Lol! My mother does those noises. I go really. She does it turning corners in her car. Lol!
Wow😊

Harbor Breeze Cheshire
You can just bend it back, that’s what I do 🤷🏼♂️
Nope. It was bent pretty bad.
@@VansWorld even those ones I bend back into place. Well doesn’t matter it’s fixed and works now lol!

You could have just replaced the bent blade

there was no fixing the old one it was bent backwards at what i would say 25⁰, you try to bend it back it would snap in 2, then youd be REALLY SCREWED
