    This is 100% hands down the best video on guard retention I’ve found so far, and that’s after watching hundreds of TH-cam videos and buying a few instructionals.
    In 30 minutes, you hit on critical concepts that are missing from SO MANY people’s games AND you gave us excellent progressive resistance/timing drills so we can get better at this.
    Thank you my friend. The fact that this kind of knowledge is made available for free on the internet is incredible, and I am super grateful.

      Thank you very much! Super glad you could take so much away from the class! Let me know if any questions pop up.

    Awesome video. One of the best intros to guard retention I’ve seen.

    The details are amazing. I watched a lot of other instructors on BJJ fanatics and other online instructionals, and they leave out these details, so it doesn't work. Thank you Dennis.

    You have the best tutorial on guard retention I've seen so far. Many out there, but your explanation of the theory n practical aspects of application are easy to understand and apply , just follow the step by steps ..
    Thanks.

    This is a great accompaniment to Priits sideways grilled chicken, Geez I love Dennis's videos,been working on his leglock vid and inverting vid for a few months, I need a Dennis bjj fanatics vid!

      Thank you very much James! How is it going with inversions and leg locks? I’ll see what I can do regarding a fanatics video. 😊

      @@COREFightingSystem had some early success inverting into saddle,but training partners and grip fighting my feet as I invert and try to shoot into the saddle,I'm guessing I have to be able to shoot legs into far leg invert?

    • @COREFightingSystem

      @@jamesguy4688 the most important thing is Kuzushi (unbalancing). You need to unbalance your opponent before you invert. That makes hand fighting way harder. It's also a good if you can switch between attacking the saddle and 50/50 off the inversion since the counter measures are different. Hope that helps 💪

    Thank you for the great seminar. True serendipity...I have been trying yo figure out this reguard and it also beautifully transitions into some fun invert attacks too. So excited for this to be my next year long goal. Much appreciated.
    I look forward to learning anything else from you. Amazing.

      Thank you very much Joel! Yeah it’s a great idea to hit inversions off of the pummel. Let me know how it’s going!

    Is this the debut of the grilled chicken or side chicken or whatever crazy name Priit has for it? This is great!

    Very nice and extremely useful, as always :) Since you said "not much changes in the Gi", I - of course - have to ask: What does change in the Gi?

      Thanks, as always 🙏🏻😊.
      Oftentimes the problem is high legging onto the near shoulder if people go for pant grips and you can’t break them off of the pummel. So instead you Pummel on the far shoulder most of the time. Can you follow me?

    • @citystone1324
      @citystone1324 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@COREFightingSystem So, you pummel into the far shoulder most of the time in the gi, meaning the shoulder that we used the"back pummel" for in most of your demonstrations?

    • @COREFightingSystem
      @COREFightingSystem ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@citystone1324 In case of the high pummel I tend to pummel to the same shoulder as the low pummel in the Gi because it's not always possible to break the pant grip. The back pummel stays relatively the same.
