Weird fiction, cat noises, and a Sacriphyx poster? Now this is the channel for me!
I came here from the difficult literature video and have really enjoyed listening to your thoughts so far. I haven't read the novels you mentioned here, but I'll have to keep an eye out for some of them!

Glad to have another Sacriphyx fan watching! Now if only they'd release a new album...

Great video! I've read neither An Evil Guest nor There Is No Antimemetics Division, but I have read Wish I Was Here, which was massively helpful in contextualizing your critique, and made me think I'd thought something similar before - which must mean something, I'm sure :) Thanks!

Thank you for watching! I'm sure if you enjoyed Wish I Were Here you might find something to appreciate in An Evil Guest. I think Wolfe is quickly becoming one of my favourite writers of weird genre fiction as I dive into his works outside The Book of the New Sun.

@@HabitualBlood I struck out spectacularly with Shadow of the Torturer a couple of years back, but should the spirit move me thither, I'll give it a whirl :)

It's such a pity you can't read...maybe one day, though.

    Speculative fiction.

To paraphrase Gerald Murnane, I would have thought all fiction speculative.

Man I wish Australians were real.

It really is a shame that this is the best AI approximation of how an Australian might look and talk.
