1987 Mack RW713 Super-Liner - Truck of the Month - February 2024

Freedom from maintenance costs, that was the purpose of this limited production series. Mack offered RW or MH models with an extensive warranty offering freedom from maintenaced costs, hence, the image of Lady Liberty adorning the side panels of these models. The special 3 year/300,000 mile warranty covered everything except tires, fluids, and filters. Production was limited to a total of 200 units, of which a total of 159 were actually built, 129 RW and 22 MH models.
Joe Plaksa of New Tripoli, PA is a regular sight on the roads in eastern Pennsylvania. The rugged good looks of the Super-Liner certainly stand out amongst its modern counterparts. As you can see, this RW is used daily. I caught Joe after a delivery before he got the chance to wipe away the days road spray.
