    I work in the pipefitting industry and I wear these boots daily. Best boots I've had by far! I'm coming into 9 months in them(wore Dr. Martens before these) and I'm in love! They feel like my Double H's I wear outside of work, and those are the most comfortable boots I've owned! I own horses thanks to my wife, so wearing western boots have been my life for a while now, and these boots are super comfortable! I just bought another pair for doing chores!

    I consider no stitching on the bottom to be a strong point. Cause ATF fluid, antifreeze, oil and gas will soak through the stitches and into the leather like nothing is there. Not a fan of comp toes though.

    I just bought these for my job bucking hay and general hard work involving being constantly on my feet.. and I have to say.. most comfortable boots I have ever had on my feet in my life, there’s no break in period for me as I am only a size 8 (wide) and these boots totally accommodate my foot with the included insoles. I strongly recommend these for anyone who is on their feet outside all day long.

    Every carolina boot I have worn is super padded so it's not necessarily uncomfortable, but the leather is so strong and durable it's a nightmare to break in. My favorite boot still remains the Redwing burnside.

    • @eaglewarrior8707
      @eaglewarrior8707 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Weird. I found the Red Wing Engineer 2268's easy to break in.

      They’re incredible, and I’m not biased on this. Based off performance from what I’ve seen they’ll last you longer then boots like Red Wing, or cat.

    I've never worn pull on boots before, but I'm really interested bc I'm tired of getting 8-12 months out of a set of works. Do they fit differently than lace ups?

      Depends on the size of your calves in my opinion, if you’ve got tree trunks they are great, but if you’ve got skinny legs there’s not much ankle support in my opinion.

    Hi , I have a question, I received a pair of Brown Vintage Corcoran jump Boots, they have a sort of lacquer from the maker to protect them I guess. How do you remove Leather lacquer ?
    Thanks and great videos

      Man I have a pair of Thorogoods and they destroyed my feet, I had high hopes for them but they just never quite broke in right, that’s so interesting that these boots were narrow for you! I found them to be just wide enough and the TG’s to be too narrow! But hey man, everyone’s feet are different

    What’s the weight difference between this boot and and the Men's Thorogood 8" Composite Toe Waterproof Wedge Sole Boot 804-4210(my current boot)? Is it lighter or heavier or about the same. I’m a steam fitter and I’m moving running around all day. I’m on rubber roofs, trenches, concrete floors, ladders, operating machines and welding. Would this be a good boot or would it slow me down. I don’t want to go much heavier then the Thorogoods I have now.

      Hey Dan. I don't own these boots, but I've worn many western style (cowboy) work books. Pull on boots, in my opinion, are the way to go for work boots. They're pull on style makes it easy to get into the boot, recudes the chances of getting caught up in something, and in my crane rigging experience, if your foot gets caught in anything, it's easier to get the boot off and not be dragged (true story). They're typically more comfortable and offer a wider toe box if you get square toe. Hope this helps.

    what will be advantage of wearing the western boots compare to regular 6 inches work boots? more durable or more comfortable?

    • @zachone172
      @zachone172 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally find slip on boots comfortable and it’s nice at the end of the day to literally just kick them off. It’s definitely a feel you have to get used to if you switch from laces because they just feel different when walking. Both boots can be comfortable, it just depends on the kind of boot you prefer honestly.

    The soles on these boots are garbage. Have had 2 pairs and only wore them for a week each and the sole separated from the E.V.A. on the heel on both pairs. Had to glue them so it wouldn't continue to separate. Yes it is comfortable but the soles are garbage.
