As Hyrum was explaining the interrelation of that one little screw with that one little spring with the drop off and the playing feel, I think my eyes were already glazing over a little before 17:38 when Hyrum told us Josh was giving him the universal look of incomprehension on behalf of us viewers. It's interesting how many fiddly calibrations add up to a noticeable difference in the playing experience.

I definitely understood certain issues associated with getting an acoustic piano much better. Fascinating but I am not sure if it encouraged me to get an acoustic piano. Thank you.

It’s amusing that a $180K+ instrument would require adjustments straight out of the factory. There doesn’t seem to be a need to “adjust” S class Mercedes when it comes new. Tuning I understand, why adjustments are needed?

S&S has been super inconsistent in the last several decades. Other companies have better quality control from the factory. But also, for a high level instrument, every year or two regulation makes a noticeable improvement.

I am thinking about getting a tuning wrench, (someone is screaming "No, Don't do it") we have had -12C for the first time here in Gibsons B.C. and my much needed lower f is dramatically out of tune. Would you recommend doing it yourself, I have sat through enough tunings. My recently tuned new 5 year old model B, has left me surprised and a little disappointed. Tuners are in short supply here on the Coast. Thank you for these great videos. Anyone?
