This is exactly what I needed to see. I live in Atlanta, and I'd like to start getting into gravel and maybe very easy single track MTB. I was deliberating between this and the Redwood, as I want something versatile that I could ride to all the nearby trails here. Knowing that the Ambition X can handle an easy ride on easy single track, and be a little faster getting to those tracks basically made the choice for me. Thank you!
It's great to see you back in the saddle. The trails in the video are beautiful and easy (at least it seems like it), ideal for a front xc mtb. I can't wait to see the new house and Thuong riding a mountain bike and you guys making videos on those trails. Of course the gravel is not cushioned, be careful not to hurt yourself with depressions and roots. Greetings from Sardinia - Italy
I love my gravel bike for mixing my road/gravel rides with single-track trails just like that. I do like running tubeless, it helps soften the trail a bit, and you can avoid those pinch flats. We have a trail system like that in Portage, MI that I like to ride to. Your trail looked great. Gonna be nice and sunny today, so get out and ride!
I enjoyed the video, especially hearing your narration--what’s going through your head as you ride. I also enjoyed how you were just taking it pretty easy, not trying to show off like so many other vids. Usually, I don’t watch mountain biking videos. For me, I prefer “hybrid cycling,” something I do to relax, to think, to see the sights, and to work on my fitness at a moderate level (I'm also quite a bit older than you). I like biking in urban environments, not big municipalities, but small to medium sized towns that have beautiful, paved bike paths in lush parks not unlike the wooded area you were in--so you can ride in and out of the busy city easily enough. But because you took us on a “beginner’s trail,” I could focus on the things you were saying instead of how you were handling the bike. I paid attention to things like being careful when on a new trail, following the lines of experienced riders, road quality, sun glasses, bike suspension, and other tips related to being in such an environment. These pointers have general application to all recreational cyclists, I think.
Hell yeah man! I ride my 700c at the Raven Trail in Northern WI, and people look at me like I'm insane 😅. The trails are rough, it's a woods park. Roots, rocks, sand, some crazy hills and drops. I even take it to the tech course and hit the see-saws and other techy woods stuff. It's a blast, lot more rigid ride, lot more attention to detail.
These flowy, midwest trails are my absolute favorite to ride on. I eventually gave up the drops though and put alt bars on (I'm rocking VO Crazy Bars now) and basically pretend it's a rigid mountain bike. I'm excited to see Thuong's reaction when she gets there!
Very nice trails! Encompassing and away from traffic. I like the finish on the bike, it is very classy. On another note, I just so happen to live on a street called Bald Mountain.

3:30 beautiful little prairie/savannah.
Yes there were a lot of beautiful spots on these trails :)

Hope to see you in Michigan someday!
That would be cool. We’re hoping to move there this summer
Just wow! Most thrilling ride and best landscape ever ! I bet your lovely Thuong will love it too.
I'm excited for her to experience it :)
What tire thickness are you rolling with ? Great video.
40, thanks!
Great video. What GPS computer do you use?
Wahoo Bolt
I love to see videos of gravel bikes on off road terrain. You have earned a like 👍

Yes, most trails here are very easy, but also well developed and many different trail systems :) I'm excited for her to try them

Tubeless definitely seems like the way to go

Glad you enjoyed it!
Your trail looks like a great ride. I look forward to seeing video of you & Thoung on it. Keep up the good work.
Can’t wait to show her
Looked like a fun trail and what a day for weather. The best!
I also recently picked up a Poseidon X Ambition for commuting and bike packing, loving how versatile it is
It’s a great bike
How do you like that wahoo element bolt? Would you go back to garmin or something else ?
I've been really happy with the bolt, not sure how modern garmin compares but years ago their UI was horrible
That bike is actually super dope. Looking to get a poseidon for myself, either this or the redwood.
It's one of the best bikes for that price range I think
When shopping, how did you decide between the X Ambition and the Redwood? What was the deciding factor...
Is it just me or are the hoods way less comfortable than say flat bars, you get more positions but more pressure on ulnar nerve and less control
If you're riding mostly trails, then flatbar is probably the way to go

What other exercises and stretching routine do you do in addition or to help your biking ? Great to see a video on that 😊
I’ll do gym weight training and squats when I want to build strength. Don’t stretch much honestly

It's crazy for me now to be able to ride for hours without seeing any vehicles coming from riding in Vietnam 😂 That is a cool street name though
You may want to upgrade your mechanical disc brakes to (1) *_Growtac Equal_* or hydro-mechnicals, e.g. (2) _JuinTech GT-F_ or (3) _TRP HyRd_
Thanks for the suggestion, definitely would be a nice upgrade especially if riding more trails

Great trails. Enjoy 😊. You should get a tubless setup. You will not get pinch flats, that's for sure, even with low pressures. 🚴🚴🚴
Yes, tubeless would be nice
Was this video taken during summer?
Yes
that doesn't look too bad. I did part of Island Lake on my gravel bike, and it was bit sketchy. To me anyway. No pinch flats w/ tubeless ;)
Thanks for a nice tour around your hometown especially around the nice grassy forest, maybe I’ll check out Michigan sometime, great bike ride too, 😎😎😎
It's a shame you didn't get to ride those trails more while you were working on the new house. You'll be back there soon I hope!
I really wanted to ride them more, especially on a mtb 😃 next time
Awesome ride
Wow ,i really like this exploring videos.. just like the old days... ❤❤
I use a cyclo-cross bike with gravel tyres on a tubeless setup. I lower the pressures and the ride will get more comfortable 👍
CX bike used to be my main bike when I lived here. But now I think there are more gravel races and less CX unfortunately
As long as you have clearance for wider tyres, any bike is good for gravel. :)
@@TwoWheelCruise
Yes I have
You don’t like to make your new bike dirty? 😂 just clean it after going off road. Feels good to clean your bike.
Not for the first week at least 😂
It looks like a nice place. Somewhere I can imagine it being possible to shut out the insanity of the outside world and enjoy the simple life.
It's my favorite place to escape :)
👍

Japan and Vietnam and Thailand and Singapore much more interesting than Michigan😢
Depends on your perspective, I'm sure Michigan will be more interesting for Thuong since it is much different from what she is used to
As other people have said, your wife's video's are better
Agreed, she talks less and has better content, even the food is more interesting than Cruz 😂😂😂
Then I wonder, why the views suddenly rised and increasing, when he was back while before they were decreasing... 😏
She might start filming more VLOG style videos on her channel
@@TwoWheelCruise god we hope so
