Wow, that was way out in left field. I used to listen to this song and always loved the video. You can see that Morrissey idolized James Dean to have gone all the way to Fairmount to shoot this.
It's an homage to Dean, a man Morrissey obviously adored and identified with. He wrote a biography of Dean as a younger man I believe. They were both closeted homosexuals (at the time Morrissey claimed to be asexual). Great choice for a solo Morrissey song, definitely my favourite of his.
It's funny how much you liked this song after not liking it so much before, because that was also my experience with Morrissey. In fact, I absolutely HATED Morrissey when I first heard it (November Spawned a Monster). Not sure he's figured out that he's listening to a song about a breakup that repeatedly ends with "It was a good lay" while his teenage daughter is right there. Back in the day we used to write that in the dust on cars.
You’ve got everything now by the smiths is a must. Has to be the Hatful Of Hollow version though
The kid doesn't give a shit it's hilarious!!!!!😂😂😂😂
Wow, that was way out in left field. I used to listen to this song and always loved the video. You can see that Morrissey idolized James Dean to have gone all the way to Fairmount to shoot this.
My first comment as well.. Great song! It sounds like the mom and myself have a lot of the same tastes!
I remember first listening The Smiths in 4th grade and I’m in 8th grade now and I still love The Smiths to this day.
I would like to see it in another way. she chooses a song to see your reaction.
I'm curious.
One of my favorite songs!!!!
Good parents! Keep that timeless music alive for the future generations!
Tell your wife to listen to the Only Three Lads podcast. It’s like sports talk for classic alternative music. We countdown our list and discuss music
Johnny marr who was guitarist in the smiths plays the guitar on billie eilishs no time to die bond theme
Good video, saw a Smiths tribute band at 14 and saw Moz live at 16. 👍
But a dude in my barracks bay in AIT (Army training to learn your job specialty) in '92 absolutely loved Morrissey and played it all the time. Eventually i went from hate, to singing along, to buying Morrissey CDs. And I'm more of a 90's Rock kind of guy, but I also listen to a lot of Morrissey, even now. I came home from AIT singing Every Day is Like Sunday all over the house, lol.
Viva Hate , Your Arsenal, Vauxhall and I, Southpaw Grammar ....great albums
I loved going to there. I was a big smiths Morrissey fan.
I listen to Morrissey everyday. Fan Since 1991.
I’m 17 and I’ve been obsessed with the smiths since about 13 Spotify acc sent me a notification saying I’m in the top 1% of all smiths listeners
Where did you score that sweet “Rick and Roll” shirt?
Always loved this one.
In Ant-Man and The Wasp Luis tells how his mom had a Jukebox that only featured Morrissey's songs... Just saying, Moms love him.
