Do you think the activity of breaking other countries laws (as in the “current political climate”…what does that mean Joe??) is acceptable? While we should never do anything to promote, enable, or excuse illegal activity (including illegal immigration), turning a blind eye to this type of crime as Joe suggests creates an environment of lawlessness. It is not loving to grant those who are lawless, violent or unwilling to work free access to others resources. What other crimes should we turn a blind eye to "given the current political climate ". Are you familiar with the difference in a foreigner and sojourners?
Does not God intend for citizens to obey their governing authorities and does not God’s Word says He frowns on illegal immigrants - just like He says He frowns on children ruling the roost. Again, in Romans 13:4 God intends for Governments to bear the sword relative to enacting justice. They are to be an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. This means Government is sanctioned, bound, and responsible to punish those who break the law. There must be an extraction of due recompense for crimes committed, including illegal immigration in order for a government to be characteristically just with and to all of its citizens. And this is Catholic teaching
