Here's how to beat the last level in Super Mario 3D World as Mario without using any power ups. Also, another thing to note is that yes I am big, but pretty much each time you die you start out big by default.

No idea why TH-cam is recommending this video for everyone lately, maybe 3D World being a part of Super Mario Maker 2 is probably it, but it would be cool for this to reach over a Million views. Also, I am going to pin and comment on the "Mushroom" again in this video since it seems that no one read the video description. Every time you enter a level regardless if you're small and have no powerups, you always start out big. If there were an option to start out as small Mario, I would've gone for a no damage run a long time ago, but I still technically went through this without relying on the use of a powerup.

***** man... this was a beautiful run, this inspires me to get good at doing levels like this! (btw any tips for levels like this, like how you expertly used the ground pound in the air for the "slower falling")
I know I'm a bit late on this, but pretty much practice is everything. It is possible to go through the stage without doing the ground pound like I did, but practicing the timing is everything.
+Rodriguezjr I went through waiting for a moment while stepping between the blue and pink cubes, and quickly jumped on the highest pink one and jumped over the pit without ground pounding. I didn't know it was possible.
This video is now my first ever TH-cam video that has reached over 1 Million views! I only wish, I could go back and do a no damage run of this, but hopefully maybe one day that Nintendo could port this game on Switch and I could try again.

I finally beat it yesterday, surrounded by my 3 kids, feeling like I've finally achieved greatness after playing Mario Games for the last 30 years! Never felt so good after beating a game! Mario 3D World is up there with SMB3 and SMW as the greatest Mario games of all time

The level is actually quite easy depending the character (Mario is the hardest, Peach is the easiest)
As someone who knows what it feels like to suffer through this level, watching you beat it is sooo therapeutic.
They really should have put 3D world on switch instead of NSMBU

I have literally been stuck on this level for 5 years. I have beat every other level with each character, collected every star and flag. I just cannot seem to do this one. I just wanted to see what I was up against past the part I'm having trouble with, and now I just feel like abandoning all hope 🤯😱. That was incredible. @@limethelime9029 the part with all the rings that had to be jumped over I noticed would be much easier if you could ignore them, but it certainly wouldn't be very helpful in the block timing section.

@@romangonzalezadrianmaurici6302, well If you’ve played Darker Side, think how hard that was for you. This is much, much harder than Darker Side. Even the start can be deadly. The speed section and the space blocks especially. I’d say this is even harder than “The Perfect Run” honestly.

@@mechamicro its actually not that simple. U see. Wii u game pads are not sold individually. U can only buy them with the full Wii u system. That was one of the major critiques about the system. I've been going to various used game stores in my area for YEARS asking if they had any GAMEPADS ONLY for sale. They say it's very rare that they get any without the Wii u system. And don't even bother looking online. No one is dumb enough to sell just the game pad without the system.
Basically it's no longer worth it to me. With fire emblem and astral chain releasing this summer I'm going to finally buy a Nintendo switch. Thanks for the advice

Jacob Revor I found the mario 3d land secret level way harder.
i found the 3d land to be just a little bit easier. not much though. i really struggled bouncing off the 2 flying goombas just right to make it to the next platform that has that flying snake thing with the spikes on it. I really struggled also with taking on the 2 koopas inside the tunnel. every time i would always get hit at least once. staying on the platform with the arrows trying to dodge the fire was also very difficult in that level. you wanted to step on that right arrow but you were always constantly jumping over the fire and it was hard to get it to move.
Jacob Revor that flying goomba bit killed me so many times. That is the main reason I found it so much harder. I did the 3d world level on my second go but I lost about 70 lives on the 3d land one.
ha ha i would have died a lot less if it was not for the flying goomba that part looks so easy but its actually really freaking hard
Here's a tip for all of you guys. It took me forever (Thousands of lives on my own) to figure this out. Play with two Wii controllers and nunchucks at the same time. No matter who you pick for your first character, always pick peach for the second one, no matter what. Switch between the two characters with the two controllers. Start off with Mario up until the end of the first part of the beep blocks. Pop peach's bubble, switch controllers, throw Mario off of the edge, and continue on with her until the end of the beep blocks. Switch. Play as Mario up until halfway through the jumping spikes. Switch on the really thin platforms. Play as peach until the end of the piranha plants. Switch. Play as Mario for the underwater part. Switch. Play as peach for the final speed section. While using this method, I completed almost all of champions road no problem. But what always f***ed me up was the last part of the final speed section. I also got the infinite lives, replayed all of the other levels two more times with two different characters each time, and 100%'d the game! The last part of champions road is easier said than done, but i finally made it and completed it. Also, before starting the level, grab a cat bell for the top of the flag pole at the end, and don't even think about using it in the level until the very end. Use this guide! It'll save you a lot of time, and I had to figure it all out on my own! You're welcome!
Also, while playing as peach, use her floating ability to your advantage (Particularly the beep blocks), and use the long jumps as Mario!

Looking back at this game 9 years later I am like dang those graphics were already great at the time and it keeps getting better today so far and whenever a Mario games is released, I feel like : the game achieved greatness with surprising features, graphics and no other mario could outpass it. But Nintendo is never running out of mindblowing ideas. On the other hand this music used on this level is lovely I feel like it has some disney vibes. Plus it embrace perfectly the colorfull 'end' of the game.

i love the wii u. (it was my second actual console of mine) but we have to recognize it flopped and its games are better off being in switch instead of fading into obscurity along the console. the wii u was great just. wrongly marketed they made it look more of like a "wii add-on" more than a console itself.

This level was like the perfect run where before going into it i as like “how hard could it be” and 1 game over later I was like “oh that’s how hard it can be”
That chargin chuck section is the best use of making something look harder than it is, all of the characters could actually run past that 3 block without falling, and that's not even at top speed

Attention all people who bought this for switch!:
I have just completed this course! It took me around 3 days, I found the boost pads at the end were the hardest! I think it’s because there are no check points so by the time you get to the end you haven’t had time to practise the last segment
If anyone is stuck please don’t give up! And remember to ground pound if the lasers get close to you!
Once you’ve beaten it the feeling of satisfaction is amazing!

YEP!! Every level shows any sound in the world map, related to its course. BUT in Champion's Road it's a heartbeat, just like it's saying to you: PREPARE YOURSELF: DEATH LIES AHEAD!
It's not a heartbeat, it's like a little countdown for you if you are going to change the character.

This morning I beat this level for the first time. Got this game when I was about 6 in 2013. Finally as a teen beat this level after over 100 deaths, and three days of trying. Pretty big milestone.

Here is my strategy
-Long jump to avoid octogombas
-Jump to avoid fire bros
-Don’t jump on charging chucks
-Long jump on beep blocks 3 times
-Go to the red beep blocks
-Long jump on beep block again
-Be careful to time jumps on the stairs of beep blocks
-defeat all 3 magikoopas
-time the jumps to avoid all spikes and crouch under the fuzzys
-wall jump on the the ant troopers correctly
-jump on the piranha creepers
-swim through all the spikes
Go for the MIDDLE coin key and go for the others keys when the ring burners are CURRENTLY DISABLED.
I jumped on the last charging chuck and entered the box at 466s
I like more this version of the Mario Galaxy Theme because it starts in D instead of C#, what makes it more energetic (which fits perfectly in this level) ✨️👌
Love how the Mario fandom (and even Nintendo themselves) have almost unanimously agreed that Gusty Garden Galaxy is the main theme of the Super Mario Galaxy duology
@@dhans9662 I mean, even in the first game it's basically treated that way, with multiple renditions, including in the credits (I don't think any other level themes appear in Galaxy 1's credits, it's just the Overture and the last part of Gusty Garden).
Man, what a pro, especially the last part. While It only took me a couple of hours to beat this level, I did it with Peach, who made some of the platform parts way easier, and 2 Cat Suits, but you just did it with Mario and with nothing!

It has left such a legacy in the Mario universe and I bet in our hearts... that game got me inti video games and I'd go the journey again if I had to ❤️
after 5 dozen attempts i finally beat this stage this morning, i was just about to give up. nice xmas present to myself
Thank you for doing this video, I never would have seen the true end of this game if it weren't for this video......I've been playing Mario games for 35+ years and I'm nowhere near good enough at this game to do this. I'll have to fire up my Wii U to see where I left off.....I know I beat the base part of the game and did some of the extra levels but I'm pretty sure I got to the point where I needed 3 stars on every level to progress and I haven't gone back and done that. May do it on the Switch, just bought this game yesterday and I may aim for 100% even though the last couple stages look to be well above my playing level lol

I was curious what your strategy was going to be for the stairs. I never imagined you could just move fast enough to make it. When I did this with Mario I resorted to doing the spin jump to stall for long enough to land on solid ground again. Great job with this run!
I've always seen 3D World as a spiritual successor to Mario Galaxy(It's straight after Galaxy in my timeline) and the Galaxy theming towards the end showcases that.

This level is such a PAIN in my ass. Trying to get all the stamps and 100% the game.
I'm glad I watched this video though. Showed a good technique for getting pass the changing color blocks. Whoda thought ground pound gives you the extra time.
