you could also say that 10^a is always even as 10x10x10… always ends in 0 so is even and likewise 5^b is alwyas odd as 5x5x5… ends in 5 so is odd, hence 10^a cannot = 5^b and an even number cannot be an odd number

Would it also be considered correct if I included b≠0 in my assumption and then said 5^b = 10^a is only true when a and b = 0, but this is a contradiction?
