It is 2024 and I am still listening to this young man's extraordinary talent. I am still baffled why he did not won this competition. By far, he outperformed everyone in the history of American Idol and any other song competition. No one, no one has ever sang with all their soul like he did! Much respect from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷!
The votes were so Intune with the judges saying that he had to born with his voice. Some would say that he had to be born gifted, which took little efforts, but Jessica and Philip voice were a learned behavior. They probably have been in a voice since they learned to talk. Did you hear his audition singing "jar of hearts"? They then said that he had set the bar high for the others; therefore his ovation always were proof of being born with that voice. So with "American Idol" does have rules. Josh were well above them, which they were to far in to "disqualify him." But they should have rewarded him with the same rewards as the "first place winner!!
He is okay, he just needed to get his foot, in and rewarded, and it happened. His singing will get him farther up the scale!! I am keeping up with him in "Indonesia" Doing Great!!
I just watched The Craig Lewis Band from AGT perform this song, and those boys are good, one of the best duos ever, but even they can't touch this performance, no one can!!!

Because he was reserved and voters couldn't fully embrace him because of that. He has great talent but never allowed himself to be completely open as a person. That's what matters on a show like this.

Wow this brought back memories of me watching season 11 religiously. Joshua's still one of my favorite soul singers from all talent shows I've watched. What happened was him doing pretty much the same thing every week and most of the audiences got bored, he's not gaining new fans, at least at a slower rate compared to Phillip Phillips. Phillip was made for American Idol, I'm glad he won.
The singing was beyond epic. Let’s also give a shout to that absolutely amazing band behind him as well. They really played like James’ band like nobody I’ve seen.

Phillip got the tween girls votes talent is just part of the equation. Joshua was clearly better but gay as heck so no win for him. Jessica was great but putting her next to the legend in that duo really showed the skill gap.

many years after this young man sang this song, this is still the best cover of any song i've seen on any show ever. the interpretation, runs, highs, lows, expression, everything was sheer utter perfection. if you are a vocalist then you realize how much of a masterpiece this was. it's untouchable.

Him and Jessica Sanchez were ROBBED and it still haunts me to this day. I had a literal melt down when Phillip Phillips name was called cause I was so upset. It should have been Jessica and Joshua in the finale cause I would have been fine with either one of them winning.
Phillip songs captured the voters heart.. that home song makes me cry every times.. I start reminiscing about home and everything.. it was perfect. But singing wise he was the best

Phillip got the tween girls votes talent is just part of the equation. Joshua was clearly better but gay as heck so no win for him. Jessica was great but putting her next to the legend in that duo really showed the skill gap.

Michael Naynay At this point, the competition was in the fans and tv watchers hands. It wasn't the judges decision and I believe they already used their one save. I agree he should've been in the finale, but his skin had nothing to do with his singing talent.

Not quite...James still is a redwood in a forest of willows just swaying to the tempo he has laid down. This young man has passion no doubt, but James had real life sorrow/blues which many cannot tap simply because they have"Mr lived that experience.
