Bro elongation of bar depends on dia of bar,steel grade and the stress applied....as per ASTM A-615 10% Elongation is enough for grade 60 but not for grade 40...
Fe 500 & 16mm diameter of steel bar.., procedure sab ka same hi hai but reading change hogi aur ush reading ko is code guidelines ke sath check karna hai ki hamara test sample as per is code ki guideline ko meet Karta hai ki Nahin, yadi as per is code guideline ke anusar sare parameter mil rahe Hain iska matlab hai hamara simple acceptable hai aur Nahin mil rahe Hain to hamara simple acceptable Nahin hai.. but procedure testing ka sabka same hai 👍👍

Take sample of 500 mm of HSD Steel Bar for testing. Testing is done as per IS:1608 (Part -1). IS:1786 is product standard
