    I am not surprised at all that this happened. This place should be shut down! I worked here through a staffing agency in 2019 for a short time, my first day no one knew I was coming, they were extremely understaffed, I was told after being there for an hour, that I would have 10 rooms, each room has 2 patients. I asked about the patients (what can they do for themselves, can they walk, are they in a wheelchair, do they need full assistance etc.) I was told to go down the hall and get them washed up for breakfast. No training, no help and every single staff member was rude. The staff was constantly outside smoking, talking, or in other patients rooms gossiping. I left after less than a week. This place is horrible, and reeked of urine.

    I know it isn't always possible but as a daughter of someone who was in a nursing home for over 11 yrs it's best if you can visit as much as possible and different times so they won't know when to expect you. The nursing home my mom was in was a good one but I ask alot of questions to the staff.

      Exactly my mom is in one and. They take good care of her because my brother and I pop up all the time anytime we got time which is a minimum of 6 times a week .

    Until the owners are held responsible and pay the damages from their own pockets, nothing will change in nursing homes, which are just warehouses for the slowly dying. I told my doc I'd rather be dead than be in a nursing home. And I mean it.

    The average person would be stunned in knowing what they charge every month, sometimes for minimal care. Back in the 90's One of Buffalo, NY news papers did a three day article on nursing homes. The not for profit homes had the best care

    Nursing homes never get closed down, adm. Makes a plan to FIX their problems which can be many, complaints and immediate jeopardies. State surveyors come in usually once a yr. for an inspection, make their observations and so forth. The nursing home usually gets cleared once again. If you do your job everyday, inc. all staff, take care of these precious folks you are intrusted to, all surveys, complaints always happen but doesnt have to be so severe. Bottom line, DO YOUR JOB everyday.

    Hi my mother was abused and died in Canada; also my services have been compromised with police technology; at the same time with people on the phone line ; land line and cellular aware of our financial situation. I believe there is more than one wrongful death involving the same people that compromised my all my services and caused her so much abuse in every form. My elderly aunt in the USA may have been targeted as well. They have continued to block my services so that I could not communicate or make a report and prevent this entire situation. In Canada and police radio equipment is being used also abuse with technology that is hurtful was used on myself and my elderly mother and we were constantly abused over one man in question. I cant get help, this police technology had blocked and interfered with all communication in a FIRST WORLD country and every lawyer I call is a criminal defence lawyer in Edmonton, Alberta. I need to press charges, and recoup my losses.

    DEI. Put them in charge and this is what happens. They don’t know how to do the right thing

    • @Zen_and
      @Zen_and 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Claiming that this is related to DEI is baseless and intellectually dishonest. Not only is there no evidence provided in the news story to support your claim, you also have provided no evidence that DEI has anything to do with the horrific outcomes at the nursing and rehab facilities.

      @
      An ENTIRE building got arrested. That happened because of the mentality and integrity of who was in charge and has EVERYTHING to do with DEI and why every single company should have a mission to employ the BEST leaders. Attitude is a reflection of leadership

    • @Zen_and
      @Zen_and 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Occams_Razor489 You still haven't made the connection between DEI and the outcomes. It could just be poor leadership that had nothing to do with DEI. It happens all of the time without DEI being a factor.

      Most videos regarding this abuse have the comments turned off.
      Found this one where comments are on.
      What gets me is they say it was under investigation for two years. Really, two years to investigate?
      Have you ever walked through one to visit someone? You would have to be close to a saint to work in one. Or, the doctors aren't helping. The elderly patient next to a relative at a nursing home/rehab just screamed all the time. She had a family member visit, they could barely take it for thirty minutes. They allowed the women to scream. She had some sort of dementia, but that isn't right. Go visit your relatives and look around. I blame the doctors and the relatives. Just screaming until she fell asleep. Nightmare.
