How to view SMS from a backup file using SMS Backup & Restore

This is a follow from my previous video for backing up SMS. In this part, I'll show you how you could restore the SMS and hence view them. I have made this video because one of my viewers has asked me for it. I hope you find it helpful. The only problem with this app is that you can't view the messages as a stand-alone. This is a good app if you are buying a new phone and you would like to save the messages onto the cloud and then restoring it back to a new phone. It's also useful if you lose your phone and that you've backed up in a cloud such as a google drive, then you could restore your messages even though you've lost your phone.

Hello, I have restored some deleted files and from an adroid phone and it is in TXT files. When I open the TXT files, they are just a string of letters and symbols that don’t make any sense. Is there a way to decode these files?

Thank you for this. With Blackberry not having consistent functionality of their Content Transfer app, this makes things a snap. Just got a "new" phone (new to me) and the only thing that didn't come over in the Content Transfer was my SMS/MMS and calls. This is something I'm now going to look in to after having watched your backup vid and then this restore vid. Good job.

Hey! I followed all your steps. My new phone is iphone 11 and I can't find this app on the Apple phone. How can I see and get my backup then ?

@@bhupindertube yes it’s backed up in google drive but apple only allows iCloud backup. And this app isn’t available on apple store. What to do now ?
