one thing I found interesting was the feb 2022 NATO trained army of Ukraine numbering 160,000 men (considered the best trained army in europe who could take out any european competitor) who were poised to launch their pre announced rolling offensive against the Donbass (who had legally expressed their right to self determination under UN charter article one) lasted three weeks against a Russian army of 44,000 plus the Donbass Militias who basically provided the infantry in the back of the APCs. What Russia did was intervene under UN charter article 5 which is why they call it the SMO - using NATOs theft of Kosovo as the precedent, though Kosovo didn't get to vote on the matter.
Ukraine is now on NATO trained army number four according to the experts in these things and the NATO training isn't working because we have a combined arms doctrine (even though we have forgotten how to do it) and Ukraine lacks air and firepower superiority without the ability to achieve an anti air umbrella. Every bright Idea it has had has been flipped back against them by a factor of ten.
In the 80s Ukraine had close to 80m inside its borders. now it has around 21m left, most of whom are ethnic Russians so the wests desire for a forever war to emulate the terror campaign in the 1950s when the CIA reactivated the Galen networks is unlikely to happen. Russia will take what it wants as a buffer then leave the debt ridden ungrateful western part for the EU to deal with. My worry is the azov/right sector types will use all those stolen arms to strike into the EU - as the saying goes 'to see who the west will fight next - look at who they are arming now.'

It would be refreshing to think old soldiers studied history and realised Russia had a legitimate claim to Crimea, the citizens voted to stay with R. Indeed they formed local militia groups to repel any approaching Uks. The predominantly Russia enclavs of Lugansk etc fought off ruthless attacks resilting in the deaths of 14000 citizens. Till 2022 nato spent $$$ building immense fortifications, also reason R has moved so slowly. The financial mile in London wants R's treasure house of natural resources, simple as that. The 500k dead young men mean nothing to them. Oh and the Maidan coup was orchestrated by the west in 2014.

Around 6 months ago, Russia released casualties numbers of foreigners fighting for the UA. Can't remember exactly, Poles were at the top of the list over 1K, and the US
was 3rd or 4th with around 500 gone, overall, around 45% of foreigners were no more according to data Russia provided then. So it is more than safe to say, that NATO
forces are on the ground in UA. In the Kursk invasion, percentage of foreign fighters was even higher than before. Lot of Polish, US, French soldiers got on that list.

NATO can't officially put troops into Ukraine for obvious reasons. The only organisation that could potentially bring the fighting to some sort of end is the UN but we've seen many failed efforts by the UN in the past (the Former Yugoslavia to name one) that have been utterly brushed aside by the two, or more, warring factions. The fact that Russia is one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council makes any vote to use UN troops to secure peace in Ukraine extremely difficult as they will just use their veto to block any such move. Yes, NATO was directly involved with the war in Afghanistan (2001 - 2021) but that was under the banner of the war on terrorism and not directly attacking a sovereign nation.

In the east of Ukraine resides a very large Russian speaking population that saw themselves as Ukrainian, for many years during the 2000's, until 2014 they had no choice but defend themselves from the brutality of Ukrainian armed forces by trying to force them reject their customs and way of life.

This is not new news ! The UK has been training Ukrainian troops in Ukraine since 2022. The long range missiles cannot be launched without our satellite data which is why a red line will be crossed if they do. Whatever training we have given them has not worked, the war is lost !

No, it started with the American led coup which removed the legally elected Ukrainian government. Crimea jumped ship from Ukraine after that. There is an intercepted telephone converstation between Victoria Nuland and the US Ambassador to Ukraine talking about who they would put in their puppet government. The intercept is confirmed as real with Nuland calling it a great piece of espionage. Ukraine is losing the war and America and NATO are losers and Nuland was sacked from the State Department earlier this year.

Every war has its “ developments “ in technology and tactics. Britain will have had troops in virtually every conflict around the world as “ advisors” or “ observers”. This is how the British army stays abreast of developments and at the forefront of inovations and how it gets an accurate assessment of the situation on the ground in order to report back to the politicians so that they can stay informed and be prepared to adjust political policy. To think that the biggest war in Europe is taking place since the Second World War and that Britain doesn’t have “ boots on the ground “ would, in my opinion be very nieve. I just wish the west was doing more.

Perhaps the question shouldn't be have we got troops in Ukraine but rather why they are there?
One interesting theory is lithium. Not the Nirvana track but the vital ingredient for all those wokemobiles - Teslas etc.
The WEF doesn't want China then Putin to have such control over lithium supplies. It spoils all their crooked little con schemes about a climate catastrophe.
    Follow the money ...
