It was a long stick we found laying on the beach, We saw this crocodile a couple days earlier in the same spot but he took off before we could get any good footage. I had the handle bar mount on the camera because we new if we saw the croc again we could mount the camera to something. when he first bit the camera I thought it was gone for good but it fell off in the water so we were able to retrieve it, and now I got a couple cool teeth marks in the case.
That Is not a saltwater crocodile, it is an Orinoco crocodile, you can tell by it's narrow jaw, brown lines, but anyway, what you saw was extremely rare, there may be as little as 250 Orinoco crocodiles in the wild.
no its not its an american crocodile, first the outer scutes are bigger plus the head shape is more of v shaped typical crocodile not a narrow snout plus its a coastal area, salties, niles and american crocs are found in coastal areas
@CarpKing Thank you for correcting this. I live in South Florida and we have a very small American Crocodile population here. People are always calling them alligators and just generally spreading misinformation.

You are right. I had never even heard of a Orinoco crocodile until you comment, thanks

+hititdj Exactly, American Crocodile...not the Orinoco.
I am colombian and the orinoco river and area is far from tyrona, since this was in tyrona it is a american crocodile, no doubt.
