He’d honestly probably be making median salary without TH-cam and couldn’t do 100th of what he does with TH-cam. He certainly didn’t have to use his TH-cam funds to do giveaways either. Sometimes it's wild when sharks say those things. If they're not a personal user of the product they'll be out. I remember a girl who came in with a fake flower business with good sales. And they were so out of touch with the fact that most people don't appreciate a 50$ flower arrangement that will be worthless in a few days. A shark asked lori and Barbara if they'd be happy with it, and they Said they prefer real flowers. And they judged the business based on that.

And with inflation going the way it is, as well as the sheer cost of jewelry, 100 dollars is almost negligible. If I were the business owner, I’d have retained more of my company.

    These types of companies are concerning to me. One of the problems of a lot of these “clean water” initiatives is that once the wells are built, there is no one in these local communities with the knowledge or skills to maintenance them, and they quickly fall into disrepair. I wish the sharks would have dug a bit more into the logistics of the charity portion of this business. Are they hiring and training locals to maintain the wells? Are they providing regular maintenance other ways? What is the ongoing, compounding cost to keep so many wells functional around the world?

    • @rosefrancis1964
      @rosefrancis1964 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I grew up drinking water from a well. There is no repair needed. You either use a water pump or have a bucket tied to the rope to get the water out. For people who have to walk miles for clean water, having a waterwell nearby is so valuable.

      Agree; but in giving up more he helps boost his sales and the popularity of the brand by several folds. So I feel it was worth the deal. These sharks are household names. You strike a deal with them; you make money and they make money. I get it that they are greedy; but if someone does not want the deal; they are free to walk away. They go home with free advertising which is still worth the value in gold. Its a win win situation either way. I still think he should have taken Kevin's offer. Though it had a royalty; he'd end up giving up only 6^%; which is what he was wanting to give up to begin with. From that point of view; he didn't make a good deal.
