- I put together some laser visuals for a DJ set by h0ffman, for NOVA Demoparty 2020 - novaparty.org/
This was a lot of fun to make. Everything you see here is custom content and was manually synced by hand. The timeline contained around 4150 events by the time I was done and it took around 20 hours of sync work in total - due to the music being having a lot of variation and small details there was almost no room for copying and pasting to speed up the process. I finished it at 10am on Friday after an all-nighter, got a little under four hours sleep, then got up to help run the party. Exhausting but worth every minute.
The software I used is Pangolin BEYOND Essentials. The lasers are a Kvant Clubmax 2000 and 520laser Club 2000, controlled by a pair of Pangolin FB3 ILDA controllers. The fogger was an Equinox Vapour 1000. The video was recorded using a slightly broken Logitech C920 webcam with a horizontal line of dead pixels, which I had to cut out of the footage, hence the little visual discontinuity.

This got a lot more attention than I expected, and a lot of people have asked questions about reusing this video for various things, so here are my general answers:
- NO DERIVATIVE WORKS. This means you can't just upload this video or parts of it to TH-cam with your own music over the top. TH-cam will copyright-strike you for it if you try. I used to be more relaxed on this but after more than a hundred people ripped the content (almost always without credit) I'm fed up of dealing with it. Don't become the next channel to get banned for ripping off other people's work.
- No commercial or promotional use. If you're getting paid, or you're acting on behalf of a for-profit organisation, that's commercial.
- If you're live-streaming an amateur DJ set on Twitch or a similar service, you can play this video in the background (e.g. via greenscreen or on a monitor/projector) as long as you provide explicit credit within the video itself (e.g. an overlay) and include a link to this video in the stream description. It should go without saying, but "credit to their respective owners" or similar does not count as giving credit. Please note that VODs or recordings consisting solely of this video content with music on top would be considered a derivative work, which is not allowed.

Didn't need a timecode. Hoffman pre-recorded the set and sent it over to me. After that it was just a case of loading the audio file into the timeline in Beyond and spending lots of hours on the design.

The full show, no. Individual cues can be set up to have certain parameters driven by external inputs like live FFT bands, but it's tricky to set up. The reason the show matches the music so well is that I spent hours doing all the cue design and sync by hand.

Hi there ..i really want lasers for parties with 200 up to 300 people ..but irk really know how it works ..do u just plug in the cable from the musik box and the lasers sync with the music or how does this work ? Pls help thx
Take a look at the video description for more info on how I made this. The short answer is that it's not automatic and it took about 20 hours of hard work just in sync alone. It's possible to manually sync lasers live (known as "busking") but it's never quite this tight and it's a full-time job for someone during the event. There's no automatic sync solution that looks anything like this.

@@gsuberland Les KVANT ClubMax sont de bonne qualité mais manquent trop de rouge sur des modèles tél que celui-ci (R637nm /340mW pour 700mW de vert qui plus est en 520nm), difficile d’obtenir du beau jaune sachant qu’il faut au minimum 20% de rouge en plus rapport au vert DPSS (532nm), et dans l’idéal jusqu’à 50% en supplément pour du 520nm diode, mais comme le rouge monomode est de loin la couleur la plus chère ils en mettent le moins possible, contrairement aux marques allemandes (tarm, RTI, etc…) qui n’hésitent pas à en ajouter 20% et plus !
J’ai 2 tarm seven avec chacun 2.5W de rouge pour 2W de vert, c’est en comparaison (R/2.5W) ce que KVANT met dans ses ClubMax de 10W et pour un prix bien supérieur (env 10k€) sans compter l’excellente divergence qui place les modèles Made in Germany dans de bien meilleurs rapports qualité / prix

No, sorry. The content here is not available for licencing. You can commission custom laser content for your sets if you want the equivalent of this, but if you're generally working with free stuff you solicited on TH-cam then I suspect the cost will be prohibitive.

The lasers are a Kvant Clubmax 2000 and a 520laser Club 2000. 520laser are now Lightspace, and they've changed their product lineup a bit.
Controllers are a pair of Pangolin FB3 ILDA interfaces. The software is Pangolin Beyond Essentials.
Is there any specific name of these lasers? Actually i wanna buy.

If it's not being publicly broadcast that's generally fine, as long as credit is given.

Also can you make these type visuals but without music playing during but instead edit in white or brown noise or brainwave frequencies at theta or delta hertz ( preferably 4, or 5,6 preferably 6.3 hertz or 7 hertz theta waves? Isochronic frequencies are much better than binaural simply because listeners do not require headphone use. Please consider. Also consider use of binaural recording equipment where u can record binaural sounds into each “ virtual ear “ and can make awesome sounds and direct them into the “ virtual headspace” listener will sense feel hear and actually be entrained to sense as if sounds are physically present. For example. Sounds made from blowing gently air , near the microphone, which is very sensitive- one will feel physical sense of air actually being blown. Not just will they hear the sound. But they will feel it and it feel real. One can really really blow minds with these images and the appeal in terms of psychedelic. And to have asmr like sensation of binaural effect PLUS ALSO brainwave stimulation and entrainment using sound waves frequencies all in one video? Too many good things can be found in that hahaha. One def needs to make that kind of video.

@@LV-bf5dx this was filmed in my house, but in the UK you can operate with no license for the most part. In Germany, Austria, and some other countries you need a licensed individual to run a laser show.
