D-Fens is not a bad guy. He is actually each and every one of us. We bathe in these societal problems every day. We do our best to ignore them because we just want to be left alone. We dont want to interfere because we're afraid of the consequences...and deep down we know that our actions can do little to cure the ills of this world anyway. So we plod along day after day...doing our jobs, paying our taxes, and keeping our mouths shut while we get preyed upon by our institutions. D-Fens is me, and D-Fens is you...on that one day when the weight became too much to bear, and we got pushed just a little too far over the line.
I saw the movie a few days ago and D-Fens is a real bad guy for me. Of course, some things he does are right, but otherwise he is unjust. For example attacking the shop owner for no reason, disrespecting private land (golf club) and even wondering why someone can own such a large piece of land or why someone has a big house. To me he is a commie and a villian. I understand the fight for safety (gang) or that he wants to see his child for his birthday. But his opinions and actions would do more harm than good.

I remember when McDonald's finally caved and decided to allow breakfast to be served after 10:30am. This film immediately came to mind. I think about this movie every now and then. I don't like the ending, somehow I feel it would have a much different ending if it pretained to 2024. It would probably have an ending I would feel better about, but I suppose he would still have to die at the end regardless... how unfortunate that I feel this way.

Turns out that all you need for the world to crucify you is to stop putting up with it's nonsense. When he says he's the bad guy at the end that's how I interpret it, he doesn't have a change of heart or anything, he just realizes that the world wants to see him that way, and that there's nothing he can do about that. This music really fits the movie, at least 10 of those views are mine, this is good.
