    Making things neat and tidy, especially pruining, is cathartic.

    TY for mentioning the bed facing west. I can look and see if there’s something there I’d like to try here. That was a lot of work!

    Wish I could turn my gardening maintenence jobs in "fast" speed!😅😅😅. I really enjoy sitting here in the cool in my recliner drinking my tea and watching someone else work 😅😅 . But then reality sets in and I'll be out there later doing one thing which will lead to another and another. I really enjoy pruning which just makes everything look so much better. What I don't like is cleaning out the previously used pots...that's really what I'd like to switch to "fast" speed!

    Your technique and skill rounding the bushes made it look simple and doable.

    Good morning from the west coast of Canada. What a great job and wonderful look for those Spireas. I am not shock because you know what you are doing and just how far you can go with your plants. I have to agree with you when you tried out the new tool, it does not have the power for those shrubs. I think that by pruning up your Red Bud, it will feel like it will be able to breath. If you were strong I would say you now have a neat umbrella. Just kidding. You really do plant the way I do. If you dig up a bulb no big deal. I try things a couple of times if it doesn't work then on to something else. Love how that area looks. Amazing. You have a wonderful day and enjoy your job well done.

    Vinca are amazing for me! They last from first planted to hard frost. And they get huge! All of 3ft X 3ft....and return every year! I'm south texas zone 9b 10a. Love your videos

    Looks good and the spirea does look lots better. I like the shape. Isn't ita good feeling when you get a area cleaned out and then again when it is replanted. So many options.

    I enjoy your videos so much. There isnt nothing better than having your beds all pruned and orderly. I have a question that is off subject 😅 what type of window screens to you have on your home? It looks to block sun but adds to the well maintained look of your home.thanks

    • @shesamadgardener
      @shesamadgardener  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They are called Solar Screens … they help keep the inside of the house cooler since it faces the west sun. The company that I have used for 4 houses now is Texas Solar Screens.

    Great job gardening in one of the most difficult areas to garden.

    Pruning spiera....just the one I've been waiting for. You said start at belly button level. And I got to wondering about that. You look very tall... . I'm only 5'😅. Did I mention that I have Little People in my family ancestry? I met them once at a family reunion. Oops, I'm off track A story for another time. 😊.
    Question: What do you do with all your old potting soils?

    • @shesamadgardener
      @shesamadgardener  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are right … belly button heights are all different!

      @shesamadgardener LOL, perhaps I should ask how short would be too short for pruning this particular Bush? I couldn't see if you were just cutting greenery or woody branches too?

    While planting around your beautiful ornamental tree (I forgot the name) did you run into any tree roots? And do you think you will have issues with roots from it damaging your foundation.
    Thanks in advance🤗

    • @shesamadgardener
      @shesamadgardener  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I didn’t run into much but I was technically planting outside the root ball. This tree is already full grown, so its roots will not get anywhere large enough to damage the foundation.

    Just be very careful with the hedge trimmer. I follow a gardener from Michigan, Graceinthisspace, who cut off two of her fingers right through the bone last week. She has got a beautiful garden, but probably will be done gardening for some time. Could not stop thinking of her while I watched you. You did a great job.
