My 16 year old daughter caught you after your Gothic Homemaking panel at DragonCon to talk to you about her struggles and thank you for what you have done for her without ever knowing. I just wanted to thank you so much for talking with her. You helped her find purpose in her life and to know she wasn't alone as she felt she was. Thank you so much.
@@PhoenixsArt I have found from experience (as I am a stubborn child of my parents) that the parents will try to high heaven and hell but sometimes it takes a friend, a stranger, or another trusted adult for things to click. I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, and it takes me years to get something down, that a normal almost 10 year old has nailed or is learning. Just recently a very good friend of mine came over and helped me clean out and organize the space under my bed. My parents tried and tried but it took her, knowing how to talk to me, considering that her own younger brother is Nurodivergent as well, to get me to get rid of things I didn't need. I am now down to under my desk and my nightstand to clean out and organize before my room is completely cleaned. Voltaire is also a major influence as well. His series here on TH-cam really helped me clean out clutter and really consider what I really need for my "lair". I will honestly admit to talking to myself as if Voltaire and I were on a gothic homemaking hunt. That is how much his videos have helped me, I am actually trying to avoid plastics in regards to knick knacks. So summarize, my point is, parents do try to help their kids but sometimes it takes someone who isn't the parents to help the message sink in.
I always look forward to your Gothic homemaking videos! I do have a suggestion for your candy dish, if you still wanted to change it. You could paint it in a black enamel and let it fully dry for a day or two, depending on your humidity. After it's completely dry, use the same kind of paint to lightly dry brush it with a bit of silver, or the color of your choice. I think it would look great as a landing spot for your rings, bracelets, gloves, sitting on your dresser or dressing table. Love your place. Would you ever consider doing a tour?
A tip for you Voltaire. Put "Gothic homemaking presents" at the end of the title instead of first. New viewers are much more likely to click on your video if it's advertised as a video about a thing (Behind the scenes, makeup, unboxing, tutorial etc) firstly and as a part of a series secondly.
Nice calm video. When I saw that vinyl with Vincent Price , I realised that I must acquire one for my student lair. (When cash becomes a thing again though).
I grew up in a pretty old house that had a sealed off attic. The entrance, of course, was in my closet for some reason. Once we started living in the house I started hearing chirping noises in the ceiling. My mom thought the neighbor’s cat had found a way into the ceiling and had her babies there. Imagine my surprise when I learned that we had bats living in our attic. They really kept the mosquitoes off our property and I got to watch them flying outside my window at night. One of the few things I miss about that place. I hated that house btw and I will never go back.
I am so happy your back you really know how to keep my hopes up mr voltaire sir i really enjoy your gothic home-making again altho sadly iv been getting antagonized again but i know your always there for me to keep giving the smiles to people like me
Was that Alchemy Gothic skull supposed to have 2 fangs instead of one? Maybe it fell as you were getting it out? Btw, your makeup is especially on point in this video! 🖤🖤🖤
All these great things from Sinister Creature Con have me so hyped to go this October! I'll be a vendor, but I always have at least one person with me to help run the booth so we can both take some time to walk around and see what other people have at their booths. It's going to be hard not to spend all the money we make right away at the con! For anyone who's been there as a vendor, how likely are trades? XD I've been to a few conventions where vendors were willing to barter goods back and forth before doors opened to the public!
I don't know. I've never traded items as I suspect vendors will want cash to cover the booth cost, gas, lodging, etc. I just buy stuff outright if I can afford it. It's a great convention with very nice people. I hope you have a great time!
I had a lot of fun at the Sinister Creature convention. At first I wasn't going to go to the convention just your show because I am not a big fan of horror movies. That and I didn't know anyone on the panels. However, I saw all the artists booths taking part and decided it was worth going. So glad that I did I got to meet a lot of amazing people and to meet you again.
The Scientific Woman booth was extremely impressive and she was a total doll! Very professional and sincere. I love her work. Nice addition to the lair btw. Maybe consider your stunning pictures of Frankenstein and his bride, like pictures of family members on your wall 😜
That dish is gorgeous! Maybe just a dry brushing with some matte black to help bring out the details more? I don't know if you've tried it yet, but the Stuart Semple Black 2.0 paint has become a staple for me. I can't seem to work without it. It also looks great stenciled over a glossy black. It's a bit more expensive, but you don't need as much so it evens out. EDIT: and I just contacted Crude Inc about a Vincent Price piece =) I blame you for my spending habits sometimes *L*
Huh. I'd never heard of Sinister Creature Con before. I should go one of these years. I actually saw the Long Losts perform when they did Release the Bats in Long Beach.
I don't mind telling you I would love to see a second full season of Gothic Homemaking. I understand and appreciate that you're busy, but if we could see just ONE MORE SEASON!!!! PLEASE?!!!!!!!
If you run out of decorating for your environment, you should go around seeing other peoples home and seeing what you inspired them to do. Yeah, keep the show going. There is so little non-programming fun stuff to watch when I am at the ole' creation area where I sketch and plan.
I love your apartment. Love your taste and artistry and creativity. You inspire me with every video. I also appreciate most of your things and projects are done on a budget. I can't help but wonder who cleans and dusts your apartment? Lol It's an elegant space but I see all your beautiful things and go, "That's a lot of stuff to keep neat and clean!" 😁
OMG, LOVE THE OCTOPUS, i have to have some in my bathroom or bedroom, maybe near the apothocary, !!!! Dam man, you keep inspiring, stop, i need a break, i got so many irons in the fire, OMG another idea. Kuul
That alchemy bowl is divine, I am so jealous that you can have pot pourri, I've seen so many pretty types, but my darling cat has no manners and tries eating the stuff. Even if I put it out of his reach, he just views it as a challenge.
Aurelio, The Artwork of The Couple of Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s Bride would look AWESOME in separate Black Oval shaped Frames but facing Each Other looking at The Other. Just a decor tip if You are interested in it. Anyway, Man, does that guy make Some Beautiful Movie Memorabilia!!! I love it!!! I would really love to commission a Photo of The Original Dracula, Bella Lagosi. He just was it!!! In my book, The Most Handsome, Elegant and European Royalty Class!!! I watched the either late 80s or 90s Documentary that His Som did about Him and He was an Awesome Man in real life also. He seemed to have been strict but an also Very Loving Father too. Anyway, sorry for My tangent. I just thought that I may make a suggestion for Your Beautiful Artwork. Keep On Rocking. I love Your music and The Lair of Voltaire. 😊👍🏼❤️💕👋🏼🧛♀️🧛🏻♂️👳🏼♂️🎃
You let many boxes accumulate before opening? You have willpower...or you're super, super busy. I can never wait to open my packages. And I am so in love with those monster records. I think I'm going to buy all three even though they don't fit with my decor.
I love the Frank & Bride paintings but I just wonder if anyone has actually seen that movie because the Bride hated him. Lol It's funny to me when people always set them up like a spooky ideal couple.
Why are you so devilishly handsome?!?!?! 😍 Anyways I really do hope you have a chance to redo your bathroom! We just started blueprints and construction to our home and I'd like to see some ideas for the entire house including kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Love you!
Hooray! I love young entrepreneurs, especially women who start up in their 20s and 30s like some of my college classmates did. Hooray for Mikaela for sending that cute and macabre little cephalopod. And those other gifts certainly look like fun too.
My friend, Sebastian would love some of the things that you showed from CrudeInc, specifically the Captain Spalding painting on one of the records, amongst other things that you showed. Everything is gorgeous! Also, don't worry, your Frankenstein's Monster and His Bride adds to your Lair and not make it look like a teenaged goth's bedroom or a movie fan's bedroom. 😊
For Christmas you should totally make little voodoo doll gingerbread men! It’d be creepy yet cute ( I know it’s a ways off but I thought it fun to mention :)
I think it looks like the skull was meant to have two fangs, and one fell off. That Frankenstein album is gorgeous! Lol, why wouldn't a vampire get out to see classic horror, if only just for kicks! ;) S/he could fit in at a horror film fest without concern of being found out!
@9:21 Argh! You mis-quoted Shakespeare! It's "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. " The word "well" doesn't appear anywhere in the line...
I truly believe AV is what would have once been referred to as: "a decent man"...
this man is so much of what i feel the world needs. such a nonjudgmental soul.
Ann D'Eon what a terrible thing to say and to assume. Who do you think you are? Wtf with you?

Your work is beautiful!!
Yes! You're amazing!
Beautiful website
I love how Voltaire is kind of a dork but not in a bad way yknow? It’s adorable

You are so polite and thankful for everything that comes your way...Always upbeat and positive. Love watching your videos 👍🏻💜💜💜
I really don't understand how this series isn't more popular. I absolutely love this series. Thank you dark lord 🖤⚜️🖤
Nice calm video. When I saw that vinyl with Vincent Price , I realised that I must acquire one for my student lair.
(When cash becomes a thing again though).
Your lair is Definately one of the most impressive homes I have ever seen and you keep adding such regal pieces in it! 💜

Loved watching this. I was very surprised! We have the Bride and Frankie's monster vinyls in the same from hanging *next* to our closet

The stenciled vinyl is gorgeous!! I love the octopus too. Its so unique.
Voltaire Aurelio you are the best
6:38 I love how Mr. Corvus back there looks like it's part of your hair. Blacks that match. How satisfying. *laughs*
oh, I remember Long Lost at your Brooklyn show!
I love you Voltaire, you are like the spooky husband I wish I was goth enough for hahah 🖤
Aw nice you got a skull wreath I have a black raven wreath hanging on my door. Love the vid. Keep it up! 🥀🦇🕷
your purple fabric is from the haunted mansion!!!
OMIGOD my little brother in NY send me a long lost CD. I had no idea. They were great. I'd been meaning to look them up again. I love that CD.
I absolutely love your matching monster and bride vinyl disc set! 😻 they are going to look fangtastic!
Huh. I'd never heard of Sinister Creature Con before. I should go one of these years.
I actually saw the Long Losts perform when they did Release the Bats in Long Beach.
As always, even though "We don't make unboxing videos", I am happy to see and hear you (and your lair) ^_^
I don't mind telling you
I would love to see a second full season of Gothic Homemaking.

Wish I could rock the outfits you got, but I’m a bit too heavy set to make it look good
Mood
The wreath looks good as it is, but you can paint the skulls to match the ones in the lair, it would look awesome!
I was unboxing my haul from Target as I was watching this. So fun.
Hello Beautiful. Thanks for the post.
If you are serious about the Gothic cooking episode, you MUST do a story on black squid ink pasta! It is delicious!
14:28 and a very tasteful exception at that
I can't wait for a full tour
I just love your Gothic Homemaking videos so much!! 🖤🖤
The art on the records are so awesome! I know that Anka and Patrick will love it!
I have the Alchemy Gothic dish, I use it on my coffee table for my keys!
YOU'RE SCRATCHING THE VINYLS. YOU'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY.
OMG, LOVE THE OCTOPUS, i have to have some in my bathroom or bedroom, maybe near the apothocary, !!!! Dam man, you keep inspiring, stop, i need a break, i got so many irons in the fire, OMG another idea. Kuul
You know that you have a good eye for Gothic design maybe you could start up a company for Gothic interior design
I am absolutely in love with the records!
I so love that the lair exists.
❤Wonderful❤❤
Would like to see how you frame the album art. Very cool and timeless pieces.
I love Scientific Woman!
And the plastic gold tooth I would use as a keychain lol
I absolutely love the vinyl paintings! The skull is definitely my favorite, though :)
That alchemy bowl is divine, I am so jealous that you can have pot pourri, I've seen so many pretty types, but my darling cat has no manners and tries eating the stuff. Even if I put it out of his reach, he just views it as a challenge.
Ohh I love gothic home decor making. It’s your videos. I saw many gothic making many idea with somethings. I love your new haul items. 👍😘🤟🏽🖤💀📱
I first saw your cd almost 20 years ago in a hot topic store, I'm so glad that after all this time I found you on you tube 😈☠️👻

That His SON did on Him. Sorry, about the typo.
Oww sweetie, everything is beautiful ❤ I'm in love of your house
Orville can wear the fang 😂
I’ve been getting into your channel, I have been meaning to ask where you bought your jacket. I love the look and cut and would like one for myself.
Punkrave
Thank you much dark lord
Wow!! I need the Vincent Price vinyl print!!!
That piece from 'Scientific Woman' is amazing!
I'd kill for that Bride of Frankenstein
You let many boxes accumulate before opening? You have willpower...or you're super, super busy. I can never wait to open my packages. And I am so in love with those monster records. I think I'm going to buy all three even though they don't fit with my decor.
Ahhh, it feels like a first cup of coffee to see a new Voltaire vid.
I LOVE the Heart of Otranto bowl!
I'm excited for all of Alchemy's new stuff, like the unicorn head and Omega raven skull.
I love the Frank & Bride paintings but I just wonder if anyone has actually seen that movie because the Bride hated him. Lol It's funny to me when people always set them up like a spooky ideal couple.

Why don´t you paint your wreath black? nice and inspiring unboxing video...
Your mail is way cooler than anything I ever receive in the mail, lol.
Thank you for another video 💜💜💜💜💜
This year was my first time going to the sinister creature con and its amazing I cant wait for next year
I want to get a special Commission of Akasha from Queen of the Damned on vinyl.
Love it
Algún día quisiera escucharte al volver a cantar The Night, seria genial
Those are really neat
"Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him Horatio"
Voltaire is going to have a nice home
So now we all want Voltaire's face painted on an LP album.
So so so so cool!!!
Awwwwwww lily!, I have the series on dvd
I think it looks like the skull was meant to have two fangs, and one fell off. That Frankenstein album is gorgeous! Lol, why wouldn't a vampire get out to see classic horror, if only just for kicks! ;) S/he could fit in at a horror film fest without concern of being found out!
That's what I was thinking. One gold tooth makes sense for a pirate but not a vampire skull.
Well, that is rich presents! Halloween is coming soon!
truly inspiring 🖤
I have that one
Voltaire , where did you buy that jacket ? Just curiosity XD
Hot damn. One third of my house is movie memorabilia so I'm going to be getting some of those vinyls lol
What albums were The Creature + The Bride painted on?
@9:21 Argh! You mis-quoted Shakespeare! It's "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. " The word "well" doesn't appear anywhere in the line...
Thanks, teach! I clearly played hookie that day. ; p
Brown twig wreath is called a "Grape vine wreath" bc (wait for it...) it's made of grape vines lol
